Mumbai, Jan 8 (IANS) Enigmatic yesteryear actress and dancer Helen recalled late actor Shammi Kapoor on the singing reality show 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa'. As Helen is appearing as a special guest, each contestant gave power-packed performances on her famous dance numbers.## While each of them has given their best it was Vraj and Rajashri's dance moves on the song 'O Haseena Zulfonwali Jane Jahan' from the film 'Teesri Manzil', that took Helen down memory lane.## Feeling nostalgic after witnessing Vraj and Rajashri's performance, Helen said: "Such a beautiful performance! I just went down memory lane, and it reminded me of Shammi Ji today. Shammi Ji, are you listening?. If he would have been here, he would have been so happy after seeing your performance".## She recalled working with the late actor and continued: "We both have worked in a lot of films together but let me tell you, he was a prankster, he used to make us all laugh on set. We have done rehearsals for this song around 8 to 10 times, and Shammi Ji had his style. He never used to do any rehearsals".## When Helen's husband and screenwriter Salim Khan made an appearance in the video, she reminisced how even he was part of the famous track 'O Haseena Zulfonwali Jane Jahan' and played drums on it.## She further added: "Salim Saab played a small role, too. Mumbai, Jan 8 (IANS) Singer and composer Vishal Dadlani, who has tested positive for Covid, lost his father after his gallbladder surgery went bad, and said that he could not even be there for his mother in her most difficult time.## Dadlani on Saturday posted a picture of his father on Instagram and wrote: "Shri Moti Dadlani (12 May 1943 -8 Jan 2022). Lost my best friend, the nicest and kindest man on earth, last night. I couldn't have asked for a better Father, or a better person to be my teacher for life. Anything good in me is just a pale reflection of him".## The musician added: "He was in ICU for the last 3/4 days (due to a gall bladder surgery that went bad) but I couldn't go from yesterday on because I tested positive for Covid.## "I can't even go hold my Mother in her most difficult time. It's really not fair".## "Thankfully, my sister is handling everything with far more strength than I would be able to muster up. I don't know how to live in a world without him. Mumbai, Dec 31 (IANS) Filmmaker Subhash Ghai has revealed on the show 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa' that he will make his debut as a music composer at the age of 76 with his upcoming movie '36 Farmhouse'.## He will be appearing as a special guest on the singing reality show.## "When I was finalizing the story of the film ('36 Farmhouse'), I thought that I should create a song for it too. So, I took some help from the students of Whistling Woods International and created two songs from scratch. The idea was to see if I could also be a music composer. As artists, I feel we should always grow, and see what we can do with our capabilities", he says.## "Hence, this was my attempt at rediscovering myself as a music composer. Mumbai, Dec 26 (IANS) Noted singer and composer Shankar Mahadevan, who is among the judges on 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa', was left stunned by the melodious voice of contestant Neelanjana. She sung Arijit Singh's track 'Tujhe Kitna Chahne Lage'. ## After her performance, Shankar Mahadevan appreciated her and said: "Your performance was just amazing, and I feel now you're ready for playback singing." ## Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur also praised her for her performance. They will be seen as special guests on the singing reality show. ## Shahid complimented Neelanjana, saying: "Your performance was amazing, I absolutely loved it. 'Tujhe Kitna Chahne Lage' is such a beautiful song, but it doesn't have a female version, but if ever there's one, I'd like you to sing the song." ## Mrunal added expressing her desire to make Neelanjana her voice: "When would you sing for me? Mumbai, October 23 - Aditya Chopra is all set to mark his Broadway debut as a director with "Come Fall in Love — The DDLJ Musical", based on his 1995 blockbuster "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge". The musical version of Chopra's Bollywood directorial debut will open during the 2022-23 season, producers announced on Friday.## Chopra said in a statement that while DDLJ changed his and many others' life forever, he never intended to make this film in Hindi. "As a 23-year-old young man greatly influenced by Hollywood and American pop culture, I thought I would make a couple of Indian films, and then I would be off to Hollywood and make DDLJ for a worldwide English-speaking audience with Tom Cruise as my leading man", he said. ## "Twenty-six years later, I'm going back to my original vision of the story of DDLJ, a love story of an American guy and an Indian girl, a love story of two cultures … two worlds", he added. "But this time the medium is not cinema but theater. 26 year later I will be directing DDLJ all over again but this time as an English language Broadway musical for a worldwide audience". ## He added, "I'm terribly nervous and incredibly excited". ## The show will be produced by Yash Raj Films, and it will be a collaboration between an American and Indian creative team. Nell Benjamin ("Legally Blonde", "Mean Girls") will write the book and lyrics, and the Indian songwriters Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani will compose the music. Choreography will be by Rob Ashford, who won a Tony Award for "Thoroughly Modern Millie", and Derek McLane ("Moulin Rouge!", "Hairspray Live!") will design the set.## The musical will have its world premiere at the Old Globe Theater in San Diego in September 2022, with Broadway dates to be announced later. DDLJ, which marked Chopra's debut as director at the age of 23, was both critically and commercially hit and is one of the highest-grossing Hindi films of all time. However, after 2015, the platform started picking pace in India and becomes so popular among youths, be it as consumers or content creators. Now, Indian videos are getting views in billions and are among the most viewed videos worldwide. So far, 29 Indian videos have crossed 1 billion views marks including children's or non-music videos. ## Among the music videos, 11 videos have crossed the 1 billion marks on their official youtube channels. However, it was Dhanush's "Why This Kolaveri Di" from 2012 Tamil psychological thriller film, "3", which tested the first success among the Indian music videos on TY. Released on 16 November 2011, the song instantly became popular on social networking sites for its quirky "Tanglish" (portmanteau word of Tamil and English) lyrics. It became the first Indian music video to reach 100 million mark on YT. Currently, it has over 285 million views. ## If "Why This Kolaveri Di" was first to get 100 million views, it was "Dheere Dheere" by Yo Yo Honey Singh become the first Indian music video to cross 200 million views. The song, featuring Hrithik Roshan and Sonam Kapoor, is nearing 500 million mark on T-Series YT channel. It was released on 2 September 2015. ## Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif featuring "Swag Se Swagat" from Tiger Zinda Hai, became the first Indian music video to cross 500 million views on Youtube. Sung by Vishal Dadlani, and Neha Bhasin, the song instantly became popular for it music, which was composed by Vishal and Shekhar. ## In December 2019, T-Series backed popular Punjabi number "Laung Laachi" starring Ammy Virk, Neeru Bajwa, and Amberdeep Singh created history and reached a rare 1 billion mark and became the first Indian MV to reach the milestone.
