Dulquer Salmaan Confirms To Be A Part of Prabhas-Fronted 'Kalki 2898 AD' AKA 'Project K'

Hyderabad, August 17 - Director Nag Ashwin's sci-fi epic "Kalki 2898 AD" AKA "Project K" is getting bigger and bigger on the talent front. ## The movie, fronted by superstar Prabhas, has a very fine star cast, including Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani. Now, Malayalam star Dulquer Salmaan has also been confirmed to be a part of this mega movie. ## The rumors regarding DQ's involvement in the movie have been going on for the last few weeks, and now, the actor has himself hinted at the same during an interview while promoting his upcoming movie "King of Kotha".## DQ refused to reveal about his role but said that the movie is completely set in the future with very interesting set designs. Los Angeles, August 15 - Margot Robbie-led fantasy comedy film "Barbie" has done the unthinkable by grossing over $1 billion at the global box office. The movie, directed by Greta Gerwig, is the highest-grosser of all time by a female director. ## Made on a budget of around $130 million, "Barbie" has so far grossed $1.18 billion worldwide, and currently is the second highest-grossing movie of the year, behind "Super Mario Bros. Movie" which grossed $1.35 billion earlier this year.## Meanwhile, the mega-blockbuster box office success of "Barbie" set to earn Margot Robbie, who also produced, her biggest payday yet. Box Office: Megastar Chiranjeevi's 'Bholaa Shankar' Scored Disappointing Opening Weekend Worldwide

Hyderabad, August 14 - The Indian box office created history during the weekend of August 11-13 with all the movies running in theaters currently grossing close to 400 crores. However, in-between raining blockbusters, Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi's "Bholaa Shankar" disappointed big time and registered a low opening weekend at the domestic as well as global box office.## Directed by Meher Ramesh, "Bholaa Shankar" was expected to continue the winning run for Chiranjeevi after the big blockbuster success of "Waltair Veerayya" earlier this year. But it was not the case as "Bholaa Shankar" recorded one of the lowest weekend collections for the superstar in recent times.## "Bhola Shankar" grossed approx. 36 crores worldwide, including just 5 crores at the overseas box office over the 3-day weekend. Domestically, the movie grossed 31 crores approx., including approx. 21.75 crores share collection in Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana).## The AK Entertainments and Creative Commercials' production venture needs to gross at least 125 crores worldwide to reach the break-even target, for which, the movie needs a miracle which is not looking to happen. Mega 157: Megastar Chiranjeevi Finalizes His Next Film

Hyderabad, August 13 - Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi's latest release "Bholaa Shankar" fails to woo the audiences as it crashed badly on its second day after a decent opening. Directed by Meher Ramesh, the movie will find it difficult to bounce back from hereon and is likely to end up as a big failure.## Meanwhile, Megastar Chiranjeevi has already finalized his next film. Hyderabad, August 10 - One of the biggest Telugu hits of 2012, "Businessman" starring Mahesh Babu was re-released in cinemas on August 9, 2023, and shattered all the records at the box office. The movie is directed by blockbuster director Puri Jagannadh and it also stars Kajal Aggarwal and Prakash Raj in prominent roles.## "Businessman" has had a decent re-release which is on par with a low-budget Telugu movie as far as showcasing is concerned. However, the opening of the movie is of the level of some mid-range Telugu movies with a gross collection of approx. 5.25 crores worldwide.## In Telugu states, the movie grossed a huge approx. 4.40 crores which is an all-time record for a re-released film. Tokyo, July 25 - Telugu superstar Ram Charan's period action drama film "Rangasthalam" has crossed 1 crore at the Japanese box office after the second weekend. Directed by Sukumar, the movie was released in Japan on July 14, more than 5 years after its original release in 2018.## "Rangasthalam" has taken a decent start in Japan with ¥10.1 million or approx. 60 lakh in the 3-day opening weekend before ending the full week with ¥16.4 million or 95 lakh.
