Box Office: The Batman Is The 3rd Fastest March Movie To Reach $300 Million Domestically
Los Angeles, March 22 - Robert Pattinson-fronted "The Batman" is on a record-breaking spree. The superhero film, based on DC Comics, has stormed past $600 million at the worldwide box office, becoming only the 4th Non-Chinese movie to achieve the feat during the covid-19 pandemic. ## The Matt Reeves-directed was released on the March 1st weekend worldwide and has been unstoppable since then at the box office. The domestic and international gross share is almost 50:50 for "The Batman" as the film has grossed $300 million in North America and $300.4 million internationally. ## Domestically, "The Batman" has become the joint 3rd fastest movie ever to reach $300 million, released in the month of March. It took just 17 days to reach the milestone and is tied up with "The Hunger Games". Earlier, "Beauty And The Beast" reached the box office landmark in just 10 days, followed by "Captain Marvel" in 16 days. ## Meanwhile, at the global box office, "The Batman" is the 4th biggest Hollywood title since "Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker" (2019). Only "Spider-Man: No Way Home" ($1.88B), "No Time to Die" ($762M), and "F9: The Fast Saga" ($723M), has grossed more than the Warner Bros.' movie. It is expected to reach number 2 by the end of its box office run. ## "The Batman" is a reboot of the Batman film franchise. The film sees Batman, who has been fighting crime in Gotham City for two years, uncovering corruption while pursuing the Riddler (Paul Dano), a serial killer who targets Gotham's elite.
