Box Office: Jurassic World Dominion Roars To Second Biggest North America Start of 2022
Los Angeles, June 11 - North Americans love Dinosaurs and it has proved again as Chris Pratt's Jurassic World Dominion roared with a fantastic $60 million Friday gross collection, including $18 million from Thursday previews at the domestic box office. ## The critics' approval is not with the movie with a low 32% score on Rotten Tomatoes, however, the audience is loving it with A- CinemaScore. The opening of the final movie in the "Jurassic World" franchise is the second-biggest of 2022 and 3rd biggest during the covid-19 pandemic era domestically.## The opening weekend of "Jurassic World Dominion" is projected to reach about $140 million, that's only around 5% off the debut of the last movie, "Fallen Kingdom", which opened to $148 million in 2018. The movie also posted with the second-biggest opening day for a Jurassic movie, behind 2015's "Jurassic World" ($81.9M).## Meanwhile, the movie is projected to reach about $385+ million worldwide through Sunday, as per Deadline. At the overseas box office, it has already grossed about $69 million from 15 markets and the running weekend is projected to reach $175 million after debuting in 57 new markets, including India. The opening weekend of the movie in India is expected to reach $5+ million. ## Directed by Colin Trevorrow, the film stars an ensemble cast including Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, Sam Neill, BD Wong, Omar Sy, Isabella Sermon, Justice Smith, and Daniella Pineda reprising their roles from previous films in the franchise, and they are joined by DeWanda Wise, Mamoudou Athie, Campbell Scott, Scott Haze, and Dichen Lachman.## Stay tuned...
