Los Angeles, May 18 - Marvel Studios has an exciting lineup of movies and shows for the next couple of years. The studios' first Disney Plus series was launched in 2021 in the form of "WandaVision", followed by "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier", "Loki", and "Hawkeye" in the same year. ## As per the earlier reports, it was revealed that Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany-starrer "WandaVision" was the most-watched Marvel series on Disney Plus. However, it has now been revealed by Marvel president Kevin Fiege at it is Tom Hiddleston's "Loki" Season 1 that is the most-watched Marvel series worldwide. ## Kevin Feige said that Loki was a "bold swing" and the "wild ride paid off". He also revealed that the production on the second season of "Loki" will start in the next few weeks with star Tom Hiddleston and the entire cast returning. "Loki" is the first Marvel series on Disney+ to get a second season. ## Loki is set in a Marvel Cinematic Universe-adjacent world, in which the God of Mischief (Hiddleston) is a fish-out-of-water when he lands in trouble with the bureaucratic Time Variance Authority after absconding with the Tesseract.## Meanwhile, among the most-watched Marvel series on Disney+, are "WandaVision" and "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier" at number 2 and 3, respectively after "Loki". Mumbai, May 18 - It might sound strange or unbelievable to say that movies backed by OTT platforms going the theatrical way but it seems this is indeed going to happen as Netflix is considering releasing some movies in theaters this year with an exclusive theatrical window of 45 days. ## During the covid-19 pandemic, the popularity of streaming platforms has gone up exponentially. However, it looks like Netflix has understood what theaters bring as it is finally reportedly opening up more to the theatrical experience. ## Bloomberg's Lucas Shaw reported on Sunday that Netflix is considering releasing some movies in theaters this year with an exclusive theatrical window of 45 days. That's longer than the window Netflix has typically given the movies it releases in theaters, and more in line with what is emerging as a new windowing standard. ## One of the movies the streaming giant is considering bringing to theaters is Daniel Craig's "Knives Out" sequel. Scheduled to release in late 2022, "Knives Out 2" mystery film written and directed by Rian Johnson. It is the sequel to 2019's movie that was a surprise box-office hit, grossing $165 million in the US and $311 million worldwide in 2019 off of a $40 million production budget. ## This is not the first time Netflix is taking the theatrical route for its movies. The movie, fronted by Margot Robbie, is the first-ever live-action film based on the fashion doll after a series of animated films and television series. ## Simu Liu in a recent interview with GQ UK revealed that he had almost a zero idea about the movie when he agreed to audition for a role in the movie and revealed that it was a junior agent at his management customer who advised him to take up the movie after he told it is one of the best scripts ever. ## "He literally said this verbatim", Liu told. "He was like, 'If I could stake my career on any one script, it's the Barbie script. I really think you should do it". He said that he sent in a self-tape audition which led director Greta Gerwig to request an in-person meeting. ## Simu Liu, wanting to grab a role in the film, told the filmmaker about his dance history with a competitive hip-hop team. Los Angeles, May 6 - Marvel Studios/Dinsey's "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" scored a remarkable Thursday preview with $36 million at the domestic (North America) box office. This is the biggest Thursday preview score for a Hollywood movie in 2022 and the 8th overall of all time. ## Directed by Sam Raimi, "Doctor Strange 2" has been released in 4545 theaters in North America, which is the biggest release since 2019 and 5th biggest of all time. As compared to the recent top releases, "The Batman" was released in 4417 theaters, followed by "No Time To Die" (4407), and "Spider-Man: No Way Home" (4336). ## "Doctor Strange 2" has been projected to score $150 million - $200 million in the opening weekend domestically. The numbers might go up with a strong 89% audience score on Rotton Tomatoes, though the critics' score is on the lower side with 77%.## Meanwhile, the first Doctor Strange opened to $85 million domestically in 2016, launching a new franchise for Marvel. The titular character, played by Benedict Cumberbatch, appeared in "Avengers: Infinity War" and "Endgame" and, much more recently, Sony and Marvel's $1.9 billion blockbuster, "Spider-Man: No Way Home", which grossed $50 million in previews on its way to a $260.1 million domestic debut.## Stay tuned...

Mumbai, May 6 - Marvel movies are having a great time at the Indian box office as after "Spider-Man: No Way Home", the latest superhero movie "Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of The Madness" looks to go really big. Directed by Sam Raimi, the sequel to the 2016 movie debuts on over 2500 screens in India across languages and scored an impressive 28-29 crores net (36-37cr gross) on the first day for all languages, as per early estimates. The opening of "Doctor Strange 2" is lower than "No Way Home" which scored 32.67 crores from 3250+ screens. "No Way Home" has had the widest ever Hollywood movie release in India. The original English version of "Doctor Strange 2" was the best performing on the opening day followed by Hindi. The movie is expected to grow over the weekend with strong word of mouth pouring in for the movie. Mumbai, May 6 - The summer box office madness begins with Marvel Studios' "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness". Ahead of its domestic (North American) launch today (May 6), "Doctor Strange 2" was kicked off with a strong $27 million opening from 20 international markets. ## The opening day gross box office collection of Sam Raimi-directed in international markets was only 4 percent behind the recent release "Spider-Man: No Way Home" and 210 percent ahead of DC's "The Batman". It is also 153% more than its preceder, released in 2016. ## Among key opening day markets of "Doctor Strange 2", South Korea led the chart with $5.9 million, followed by Japan ($3.8 million), France ($3 million), Italy ($2.2 million), Germany ($1.8 million), Malaysia ($1.6 million) and Thailand ($1.2 million). It is opening today in India along with domestic and other international markets. ## The Benedict Cumberbatch-fronted movie with Elizabeth Olsen playing the second lead, "Doctor Strange 2" is tracking to launch domestic weekend between $160 million and $200 million.
