'Tumbbad 2' Officially Announced

Mumbai, September 14 - The critically acclaimed folk horror thriller Tumbbad makes a stunning return to the big screen after 6 years with a much better opening than its original release at the box office. Now, as the movie makes a successful return, the makers have treated fans with exciting news.## Producer Sohum Shah announced on Saturday (September 14) that the sequel to Tumbbad is in development. The filmmaker shared a 46-second video clip, announcing Tumbbad 2. He captioned the video, "#TUMBBAD2. Box Office: 'Tumbbad' Re-Release Scores A Good Opening Day

Mumbai, September 14 - One of the most critically acclaimed folk horror Indian films ever, Tumbbad got re-released on September 13 amid much anticipation and it delivered what was expected from it regarding the box office collection. ## Over the last few months, Bollywood has been following the re-release trend of some classic films that are also doing well at the box office. Sensing the big opportunity and obelizing the public demand, producer Sohum Shah and the team announced the re-release of Tumbbad and they also put efforts into promoting the movie. ## Per estimates, the film scored approximately 1.60 crores net (1.80+ crores gross) collection on its opening day which is more than 2.5X of its original release's first-day collection (65 lakh). Interestingly, the Tumbbad re-release collection beat the opening day numbers of Kareena Kapoor's new Hindi release The Buckingham Murders which managed to score in the range of 1.25 crores net. ## The response to Tumbbad is hardly surprising as it has easily been the most-anticipated Bollywood re-release in recent times. Mumbai, September 13 - Maverick filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali's war romance drama Love and War has been postponed to March 2026. The movie stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal in the leading roles. ## Love and War was originally announced for the Christmas 2025 release but due to reasons unknown, it has been pushed back to March 20, 2026, coinciding with the festive season of Eid, Ram Navami and Gudi Padwa. The shoot will commence in October this year. ## The film was announced in January this year and it created a stir with its casting of Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal. It is said that Sanjay Leela Bhansali will begin Love & War by shooting for some sole sequences featuring Ranbir Kapoor and then move on to the friendship portions of RK and Vicky Kaushal. ## Alia Bhatt, who is reportedly playing the role of a jazz singer in the film, will join husband RK and Vicky Kaushal in December/Early January. Vicky and Alia will non-stop shoot for the movie as the duo has reportedly allotted 200 days for the same. Shah Rukh Khan's 'King' To Release On Eid 2026

Mumbai, September 13 - After the historic comeback in 2023 with three back-to-back big blockbusters, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is taking time before starting his next film, titled King which with director Sujoy Ghosh under production Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix. ## King has been in the pre-production work for a while now and was supposed to go on floors by the end of this year. However, the makers are being extra careful before starting the shoot which has now been delayed to January 2026, according to the report by Pinkvilla. ## It is said that the first schedule of King will commence in Mumbai in January 2025, followed by a marathon schedule in Europe. The makers have done multiple rounds of recce in Europe to identify virgin locations that bring scale to the film. ## The film will be shot until August/September 2025 due to multiple changes in the locations. Box Office: 'Stree 2' Scores The Biggest 4th Weekend In Hindi

Mumbai, September 8 - Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's mega-blockbuster Stree 2 continues to run riot at the box office even in its 4th week. The lack of strong competition is proving to be a one-horse race for this horror-comedy sequel.## After crossing 500 crores net in 3 weeks (22 days), Stree 2 carried the momentum to score the biggest 4th weekend in Hindi after minting 23.50+ crores net collection. It was mounted on a huge scale and featured many mass moments to turn the theatres into stadiums.## Jawan was a box office phenomenon from day 1 and it broke several records in India and overseas.
