34 Years of Salman Khan: The Actor Who Become A Megastar And Ruled The 1990s And 2010s Decade
Mumbai, August 26 - 34 years ago - an actor debuted in a film called "Biwi Ho To Aisi" in a smaller role which did not even get any sort of appreciation but today that actor is known as the biggest superstar of the Hindi film industry. Yes, we are talking about Salman Khan. ## Salman Khan shot to fame with Maine Pyar Kiya in 1989 which was his first leading role film and it went on to smash many box office records of that time. The overall business of the film was just second only to legendary all-time blockbuster Sholay with many trade pundits even putting it ahead of Sholay and declaring it the biggest hit since Alam Ara. ## The film overall remains the greatest debut by any actor to date as, except Salman Khan, No other star has debuted in an all-time blockbuster film. The phase between 2010 to 2017 remains the greatest ever phase by any Indian star with 9 elephantine blockbusters and 5 of them topping the chart of the highest grosser of the year. ## From openings to weekend records to long runners. Salman Khan is the only star of the Hindi film Industry who has crossed 30 hit films, 15 blockbuster films, and 10 highest-grossing films of the year.
