Mumbai, October 11 - Amitabh Bachchan is Celebrating his 80th Birthday today. The living legend hasn't missed a step and is beating age like a punching box by continuing to entertain the audiences. On 11 October 1942, He was born to the famous poet Harivanshrai Bachchan.
In the early years of his career, he had to face many obstacles and rejections while trying to make it big in the Hindi film industry. He won his first national award for his debut movie "Saat Hindustani" but even after that, he had to face lots of struggles till "Zanjeer" (1973). Before "Zanjeer", he appeared in successful movies like Bombay to Goa and Anand in which he played supporting roles and established himself as a credible actor in the industry.
"Zanjeer" gave Big B the angry young man persona. He paved way for a new revolution in Hindi cinema with Blockbuster movies like "Deewar", "Sholay", "Amar Akbar Anthony", "Coolie", and many more. His Persona, screen presence, and dialogue delivery were so powerful that he cultivated a huge fan base in India through this. He Delivered the Most number of blockbusters, and record openers, as people used to sleep outside the theatre to get the movie ticket.
