Salaar and Jawan Advance Booking Continue With Great Momentum At The USA Box Office

Los Angeles, August 26 - Two of the biggest Indian movies of the year, Prabhas-fronted Salaar Part 1 - Ceasefire and Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan on course to emerge massive openers at the US box office as the advance booking for both the movies are continuing with the great momentum. ## Directed by Prashanth Neel, Salaar is literally going berserk in its pre-booking and is certain to emerge as one of the biggest Indian openers there. According to the tracker, Venky Reviews, the film has sold approximately 14620 tickets worth $418.8K (3.50 crores) so far from 1012 shows in 337 locations for the premieres. ## The advances opened just a few days back and there are still 31 days left for the first show (28 Sept. release). The movie will be eyeing at least $1.5+ million in premiere advance sales and the opening day (including premieres) could well be around $4 million. At this point in time, the movie is competing with SS Rajamouli's RRR opening in the USA. ## Shah Rukh Khan's action thriller Jawan, on the other hand, is also having strong advance sales in the USA. The movie, scheduled to release on September 7, has crossed $200K (1.65 crores) for the opening day in the advance booking. At the time of the last report, it reached $210.40K (1.75 crores). It is set to score the biggest opening day for a Bollywood film ever in North America.## Jawan is also having excellent trends in other international markets as well. In the UK, it has grossed approximately £80K (85 lakh) for the opening day with one of the biggest chains in this region, Vue International yet to open advances. Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan' To Be Screened At World's Largest IMAX Screen

Mumbai, August 26 - After Pathaan earlier this year, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is set for another potential blockbuster ride with the action thriller film Jawan which is scheduled to release on September 7, 2023. The movie is directed by Atlee Kumar and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment. ## Jawan will be released in the regular 2D format along with a premium IMAX version. Now, it has been revealed that it will be screened on the world's largest IMAX screen in Germany. The screen, which stands in Leonberg near Stuttgart in Germany, measures 38 by 22 m (125 by 72 ft). Jawan is said to be the first Indian film that is set to release on such a grand scale. ## IMAX is a fast-growing big-screen cinema format as audiences are visiting IMAX theaters more than before. Pathaan was also released in this premium format and delivered the biggest global opening ever for an Indian movie. Box Office: Gadar 2 Third Friday Early Estimates

Mumbai, August 25 - Gadar 2 has shown a superb hold on the third Friday of its box office run as the early estimates suggest 6.50-7 crores net collection. These collections are excellent for Third Friday especially because Dream Girl 2 was released today and has taken away major showcasing in the multiplexes which drives the business on Friday and Saturday.## The third Friday collections of Gadar2 will take the total collections of the film to around 426 crores net mark. The film will cross the 450cr net box office mark by this weekend but how far it can go will decide the final lifetime business. It is expected to take around 35cr net box office collections in the third weekend which will keep it in the race to breach the 500 crores net mark.## Irrespective of the lifetime business, Gadar 2 has emerged as the biggest hit of the year and is among the biggest blockbusters of all time. Mumbai, August 25 - Actress Alia Bhatt has become a force to reckon with in the Bollywood film industry. After back-to-back major box office success along with the maiden National Award of the Best Actress for "Gangubai Kathiawadi", Alia is now set to headline Yash Raj Films' first female-led spy action thriller film.## A few weeks back, it was revealed that the "Raazi" actress roped in to lead YRF's yet untitled spy action thriller movie, part of the studios' ambitious Spy Universe. Mumbai, August 23 - Gadar 2 continues its excellent trend on the second Wednesday of its box office run as the early estimate collections suggest another double-digit day. The film has shown a drop of around 15%. It is expected to continue with the same momentum for the next couple of days and the third Friday is going to be very crucial for Gadar 2 when Dream Girl 2 will release. ## The early estimate suggests 10-10.50 crores net collection on the film's second Wednesday. Mumbai, August 22 - Gadar 2 continues to see superb hold on the second Tuesday of its box office run as early estimates suggest 11.50 crores which can go to 12 crores net collection which is only a 10-15% drop from yesterday. The final collection may vary a little bit depending on the performance of mass centers.## The second Tuesday collections will take the total collections of Gadar 2 to 400 crores net box office mark give or take a few lakhs. The film has become only the second Hindi film to cross this benchmark after Pathaan and both of them were released this year only which is the biggest plus for the industry. ## Gadar 2 will continue this trend for the next couple of days and it will be Thursday and Friday which will determine where the film is going. No doubt the film will see growth on the third weekend but Thursday and Friday numbers should be good enough to get the benefit of the jumps over the weekend.## The movie is on course to breach the 500 crores net box office mark though it looks tough to beat the Pathaan numbers to emerge as the highest-grossing film ever that is mainly due to the unprecedented business of Pathaan in the first five days. Box Office: OMG 2 Second Monday Early Estimates

Mumbai, August 21 - Akshay Kumar's social comedy-drama OMG 2 has a drop of around 70% today on its second Monday which is a bit higher but the overall collection remains decent considering various factors.## Directed by Amit Rai, OMG 2 scored an estimated 3.75 crores net collection on its second Monday/11th day. This takes the total collection to around 117.50 crores net to date. The trend in multiplex centers is strong while mass centers continue to perform low for the movie.## OMG 2 will reach around 125 crores net mark by the end of the second week. The movie will have additional competition in the coming weekend in the form of Dream Girl 2, however, it should be able to retain maximum screens, especially in multiplexes.## It will be interesting to see if OMG 2 can go near the 150 crores mark as that should be its target from now on. Mumbai, August 20 - OMG 2 has a very good second weekend, dropping just around 30% from the first weekend which is a fantastic hold. The movie scored a jump of around 20% on its second Sunday from the second Saturday collection. ## The early estimate suggests a second Sunday/10th-day collection of OMG 2 around 12.50-13 crores net which takes the total collection to over 114 crores net. The second-weekend collection is over 29 crores net which is one of the highest for a mid-budget Bollywood movie this year.## OMG 2 has been excellent in multiplex chains as the majority of its collection has come through those chains while smaller centers continue to remain low due to the domination of Gadar 2.
