Superstar Ram Charan's latest release, Peddi, is currently moving through its first week at the box office. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana in his second outing after Uppena, the film stars Charan as a spirited villager who uses sports to bring his community together, with Janhvi Kapoor playing the lead female role. While there was plenty of interest in the project following the actor's previous success, the actual box office trend is showing a more measured pace as it transitions into the working week.
After a solid opening weekend, Peddi has a good hold domestically on Monday, with early estimates suggesting around 14 crores gross collection. On Monday, it crossed 200 crores in India and became Ram Charan's second film after RRR to achieve the feat. Worldwide, the film has touched the 250 Crore mark, emerging as the actor's second highest-grossing film. While reaching this figure quickly is a notable benchmark for any major production, the momentum will need to remain very consistent to meet the high stakes involved with a project of this scale.

The film is currently drawing a loyal audience in its primary markets, though its ability to sustain this across the upcoming weekdays will be the real test of its theatrical life. Examining the Monday data, the film earned approximately 14 Crore gross in India on its fifth day, which is around 55% per cent drop from the Friday earnings of 31.50 Crore. For a film occupying 8,000 shows nationwide, this growth is stable but perhaps less aggressive than what the initial buzz might have suggested. It indicates that while the core fan base is turning up, the broader mass appeal is still being established in several regions.
To provide a clearer picture of the domestic performance, the total India gross collection now stands at around 169.75 Crore. When factoring in the gross amounts, the total India gross reaches 202 Crore. The Telugu market remains the primary driver of these numbers, while the contributions from other language versions are providing a necessary but slower build-up to the overall total.

The international performance adds another layer to the analysis. On its fifth day, the film brought in an estimated 1 Crore from overseas markets, taking the total international gross to 47 Crore so far. This brings the worldwide gross collection for Peddi to 249 Crore. The overseas performance of the film is concerning as it is showing very faded momentum after the good opening day.
