The Sam Raimi-directed movie has been one of the most anticipated Hollywood films in India and opening day box office numbers lived up to the hype of the film.
Released on 2500+ screens across the country, "Doctor Strange 2" flies to a massive 27.50 crores net for all languages in India. It is 4th biggest opening ever in India for a non-domestic movie.

In the film, Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) travels into the multiverse to protect America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez), a teenager capable of travelling between universes, from Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen).
