Ontario, September 25 - The year 2023 has been quite eventful for the world of professional wrestling due to several major stars getting injured. Now, it appears that another big name in WWE is dealing with a serious injury that might keep him out of action for a considerable amount of time.

Sheamus, also known as the Celtic Warrior, was last seen in action on the August 18 episode of SmackDown, where he faced Edge, possibly in Edge's final match under his current WWE contract. Many had concerns about Edge's return to WWE, but now it seems that another superstar is facing similar issues.



During a recent discussion on the Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer provided an update on Sheamus's injury, mentioning that he has a significant shoulder injury. This injury is one of the main reasons why Sheamus hasn't been appearing on television or participating in house shows.

According to a report from Fightful Select, Sheamus's WWE contract is set to expire in the first quarter of 2024. However, there is a strong possibility that WWE may choose to extend his contract, especially considering his current injury. This could result in Sheamus staying with WWE for a few more months.
