Brock Lesnar, known for his dominant presence in the wrestling industry, reportedly expressed dissatisfaction with his compensation for a 2016 match against Goldberg.

The match, which took place at WWE Survivor Series 2016, marked Goldberg's return to the ring after a 12-year hiatus. However, it wasn't well-received by fans, primarily due to both wrestlers leaving the company shortly after.

According to Jim Ross, a WWE Hall of Famer, on his podcast "Grilling JR," both Lesnar and Goldberg received $250,000 for the match. However, Lesnar allegedly felt he was underpaid and contacted Ross, expressing his discontent.

"I remember, I think the payoff... that we did for that show is that, I think he made 250 grand and so did Goldberg," Ross said. "He wanted to talk to Vince [McMahon] and Vince wants him to talk to you. So that was my prep for that conversation... So there he goes and so I get on the phone with him and he's in a foul mood because he got his payoff, thought he got screwed."

Ross further detailed the conversation, stating that Lesnar couldn't provide a specific reason for his dissatisfaction and ultimately ended the call abruptly.

"I said, 'What are you basing this on, did you do a study of the finances of this event or did somebody tell you, one of your buddies tell you you got screwed in your payoff? What are you basing this on? I don’t… you have to give me something here? You didn't like it?' And he said, 'I just think you guys screwed me.' I said, 'Well we didn't screw you and I'm sorry you feel that way,' and he hung up on me."

While Lesnar's perspective remains unclear, the reported incident highlights the complex dynamics surrounding wrestler compensation in the professional wrestling industry.
