Bron Breaker Essentially Fulfilled The Brock Lesnar Role At WWE Royal Rumble

Brock Lesnar's anticipated rumble return on WWE TV got suplexed after a sex trafficking lawsuit named a former WWE/UFC Heavyweight Champion. (That champ happens to be the Beast Incarnate himself.) Lesnar was even booked to fly to Tampa for the Royal Rumble, but the lawsuit nixed those plans.

With Lesnar out of the picture, speculation ran wild about who took his spot in the rumble Cody Rhodes ultimately dominated. On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed that the NXT powerhouse, Bron Breakker, filled the Beast's vacant entry.



Meltzer noted that most people know this, but Brock Lesnar was scheduled to return to Rumble, and this was a change obviously that was made because of the lawsuits or the changes made probably Friday. Friday, most likely perhaps Saturday morning, and Bron breaker because of that, and the fact that the match was pretty much scripted out already.

Bron Breaker essentially fulfilled the Brock Lesnar role he came in when Brock Lesnar was gonna come in. He threw up the guys Brock Lesnar was gonna throw out. It was you got thrown out exactly how Brock Lesnar was [supposed to be].

Meltzer added that Bron was definitely not scheduled for the Rumble.
