Box Office: Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani Becomes The Fifth Biggest Bollywood Grosser In North America

Mumbai, August 23 - Karan Johar's directorial romantic family drama film "Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani" continues to mint money at the box office as it has become the 3rd highest-grossing outright Bollywood movie of 2023 worldwide.

At the North American box office, "Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani" is now the 5th highest-grossing Bollywood movie of all time. It has so far grossed approximately $8.85 million in the US and Canada in 26 days and is likely to settle with this.



As far as Indian movies are concerned, RRKPK is the 7th highest-grossing film there, ahead of SS Rajamouli's "Baahubali: The Beginning" which grossed $8.45 million in its full run. The next ahead of RRKPK is Aamir Khan's "PK" with $10.60 million which is looking far enough to be crossed.

The overall overseas collection of RRKPK is simply fantastic with around 142 crores so far. It is already the second highest-grossing Bollywood movie of the year overseas. Domestically, the movie has grossed 173 crores, pushing the total worldwide collection to 315 crores in 26 days.

Produced by Dharma Productions and Viacom18 Studios, the movie stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt as a couple with contrasting personalities who decide to live with each other's families for three months before getting married. Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi also star, alongside Tota Roy Chowdhury, Churni Ganguly, Aamir Bashir, and Kshitee Jog.
