AEW Collision Results, January 6, 2024: Highlights, Commentary, Live Update, Winners

Here is the live coverage for this week's edition of AEW Collision which is set to take place on January 6, 2024, at the Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, NC.

AEW Collision starts at 8 PM ET. This is 5 PM PT, 1 AM BST, and 8 AM AEST. The show will run for two hours, so it will end at 10 PM ET.

Sting & Darby Allin vs. The Workhorsemen

Sting's music resonates through the arena as he strides to the ring, accompanied by Darby Allin. However, before the match even begins, Anthony Henry launches a surprise attack on Allin. JD Drake attempts to strike Sting with a chair, but to no avail, as Sting retaliates with a powerful clothesline.



Taking control, Sting forcefully propels Drake into the barricade. Seizing the opportunity, Henry sneakily assaults Sting from behind. Drake, undeterred, targets Darby, sending him crashing into the ring. As the match officially commences, Henry asserts dominance, knocking down Darby and unleashing a flurry of attacks in the corner before tagging out.

Drake executes a flying headbutt and goes for the cover. The referee counts: 1… 2… Darby manages to kick out. Henry tags back in, delivering a punishing backstabber and another pin attempt: 1… 2… yet, Darby resiliently kicks out. Drake re-enters the fray, subjecting Darby to corner chops and engaging in a brief skirmish with Sting on the apron. Drake executes a belly-to-belly suplex, following it up with a daring moonsault that unfortunately misses its mark.

Sting seizes the moment and tags himself in. Darby executes a Code Red, and Sting follows up with a Stinger splash in the corner. Henry re-enters the ring only to be promptly dispatched outside by Sting. Capitalizing on the chaos, Darby delivers a coffin drop onto Henry. With Drake still recovering, Sting finishes the match with a decisive coffin death drop, securing the victory.



WINNER: Sting & Darby Allin

AEW Continental Championship: Eddie Kingston (c) vs. Trent Beretta

The contest kicks off, and both competitors engage in a fierce exchange of strikes. Eddie executes a snapmare, swiftly complemented by a well-placed kick to the back. Trent retaliates with a tornado DDT, quickly attempting a cover, but kicks out. Undeterred, Trent proceeds to deliver a suplex on Kingston.

Kingston regains control, launching a counteroffensive that drives Trent into the corner, delivering a series of impactful chops that eventually force Trent out of the ring. Seizing the opportunity, Kingston executes a suplex on Trent, asserting his dominance.

Trent finds himself knocked off the middle rope. Eddie, not missing a beat, administers chops to Trent, but Trent rebounds, catching Eddie off guard with a jumping knee. A subsequent dropkick sends Eddie tumbling out of the ring, setting the stage for Trent's daring suicide dive. After directing Eddie back into the ring, Trent ascends the top rope, only to be halted in his tracks.

Undeterred, Trent manages to execute a sunset flip powerbomb, initiating a pin attempt, but a kick out from Eddie. Eddie with an exploder suplex, seamlessly transitioning into a DDT and another pin attempt, but Trent kicks out. Trent answers with a trio of German suplexes. Beretta charges in with a running knee strike, swiftly followed by a Gotch-style piledriver. Cover, but Eddie kicks out.

The intense back-and-forth continues as both competitors exchange strikes. Trent lands a half-and-half suplex, only for Kingston to respond with his own Hal-and-half suplex, leading into another powerful regular suplex. Cover made, but Trent kicks out. Kingston concludes the match with a devastating Northern Lights bomb, securing the victory.

WINNER: Eddie Kingston And Still

ROH World Tag Team Championship Proving Grounds Match: Komander & Bryan Keith vs Undisputed Kingdom (Mike Bennette & Matt Taven)

The match kicks off with Taven and Bennett ambushing Komander. Bennett dominates Komander in the corner before Taven continues the assault. Komander, resilient, counters with a hurricanrana and tags in Bryan Keith.

After a commercial break, Taven hits a flatliner on Keith, and Mike takes over the attack. Bennett tags in, and the duo executes a double-team move for the win.

WINNER: Undisputed Kingdom (Matt Taven & Mike Bennett)

Renee Paquette interviews Bullet Club Gold, but The Acclaimed interrupts. Tensions rise, and Jay White asserts they'll handle it. The Acclaimed promotes the power of factions, White dismisses it.

After a commercial break, Adam Copeland enters, claiming he deserves a TNT Championship shot. He issues an open challenge, and Griff Garrison answers with bravado. Garrison slaps Copeland, sparking a confrontation.

Singles Match: Griff Garrison vs. Adam Copeland

Copeland dominates early with a kick to Griff's face and corner assault. Maria's distraction allows Garrison to strike back, aided by Cole Karter. Garrison targets Copeland, executing a suplex and a plant. Copeland counters with a flapjack and takes out Karter.

A crossbody from the top rope earns Copeland a near fall. Garrison counters a spear attempt, but Copeland retaliates with a headbutt, superplex, and DDT. Copeland secures the win with a crossface, forcing Garrison to tap out.

WINNER: Adam Copeland

Singles Match: Skye Blue vs. Kiera Hogan

The match starts with Blue taking control, slamming Hogan's face on the mat. Skye joins the attack in the corner, but Hogan counters with a trip and a hip attack, followed by a superkick.

After a brief commercial break, Hogan gains momentum with a running dropkick and a neckbreaker. Despite Blue's resistance, Hogan secures the win with a dragon sleeper, forcing a tap-out.

WINNER: Skye Blue

Singles Match: Claudio Castagnoli vs. Andrew Everett

Claudio bodyslams Andrew. He chokeslams him. Andrew rolls out of the ring. Claudio hits him with a running uppercut. He then sends him into the ring. Claudio hits the giant swing on Andrew. Andrew comes back with a leg lariat.

He climbs the top rope and goes for a shooting star and misses. Claudio hits him with a neutralizer and follows it with a lariat for the win.

WINNER: Claudio Castagnoli

Lexy interviews Ricky Starks and Big Bill. Starks anticipates his return, promising to destroy Sammy Guevara in their upcoming singles match. Big Bill challenges Sammy and Jericho to a title match at Battle of the Belts in a street fight.

Tag Team Match: FTR vs. House of Black

The match starts with Buddy chopping Dax in the corner. FTR double-teams Buddy after some tags. During the chaos, Malakai Black targets Dax's family, leading to a chase. After a commercial break, Black and Buddy take control. Black hits a moonsault, and Cash is sent into the ring.

Buddy tags in and stomps Cash. He attacks in the corner, tags out. Black continues, tags out. Cash fights back, sends Black into Buddy. Enzuigiri by Cash, Buddy knocks Dax off apron.

Commercial break

Dax crossbody on Buddy, atomic drop on Black, brainbuster, cover, kicks out. Buddy kicks Dax, Black with a back elbow, kicks out. Cash pulls Buddy out. Dax superplex, Cash splash on Black. Cover!, Buddy saves. Cash caught in a suicide dive, sent over announcer's table.

Black grabs chair, taunts Dax's family. Dax attacks, shatter machine on Buddy. Cover and Black saves. Cash and Black exchange on apron. FTR spike piledriver, Brody King out, Garcia attacks with chair. Buddy hits curb stomp, cover, but there is a ropebreak. Powerbomb by Buddy, Dax rolls up, gets pinfall.

WINNER: FTR

Post-match, House of Black attacks. Buddy stomps Cash, Brody wraps steel around Dax, Black spinning heel kick. Brody hits Garcia with a chair.
