The recently released Dil Bechara starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjana Sanghi broke all the viewership records for an Indian movie on the digital platform. Disney+Hotstar that premiered the movie on July 24 registered the highest ever viewership with 95 million views within the first 24 hours of film's release. ## According to a Mid-Day report, a representative for the firm, Ormax Media, believes the numbers are comparable to viewership figures of the massively popular HBO series Game of Thrones, although he didn't provide any further data.## "If one wants to, comparisons could be drawn of Dil Bechara, and that of Game of Thrones, and this was possible even though the latter had a pre-existing viewer-base, while the film [did not]. The movie was supposed to release in the theaters but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it skipped a theatrical release and was announced that it would release only on Disney+ Hotstar.## However, Sushant's fans' demanded a theatrical release of the film but despite their protest, the movie turned up on the streaming platform nonetheless and eventually premiered on July 24.
