BCCI Suspends Title Sponsorship Deal With Vivo For IPL 2020

The Board Of Cricket Control In India (BCCI) has officially suspended the title sponsorship with the Chinese mobile company Vivo for the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League amid soaring India-China diplomatic tensions. ## BCCI, without giving any details sent out the one-line statement to say that the Vivo will not be associated with the IPL 2020. ## "The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Vivo Mobile India Pvt Ltd have decided to suspend their partnership for Indian Premier League in 2020", the press release stated. ## FYI, Vivo won the title sponsorship rights for five years from 2018 to 2022 for a reported sum of ₹2190 crore, approximately ₹440 crores per annum. Now, with Vivo is no longer hold the sponsorship rights for this year's IPL, BCCI likely to float a tender for the new title sponsors. ## As it was earlier decided, the IPL 2020 has moved to the UAE due to the rising COVID-19 cases in India. Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki Actor Sameer Sharma Found Dead At His Mumbai Home

The famous TV personality, Sameer Sharma who had worked in the popular tv-shows like Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi found dead at his Mumbai home on Wednesday night.## According to the initial information shared by Malad police, the security guard at the apartment complex had informed the police. Sameer Sharma was found hanging from the kitchen ceiling at his apartment in Malad west on Wednesday (August 5) night.## Police said that an accidental death report has been registered and the body has been sent for autopsy. ## "We have not found any evidence that suggests he may have been killed. Also, no suicide note has been found at the house so far. We are still investigating the case," an officer said. The body has been sent for autopsy.## The 44-year old was an acknowledged actor who gave some of the memorable performances through TV shows and movies. After working in the TV shows like Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki, Geet Hui Sabse Parayee, and Left Right Left, he made his Bollywood debut with the movie "Hasee Toh Phasee". These two, however, are completely different from each other in terms of the batting approach but are the most important players for the team. ## Virat and Pujara like to play with each other. Despite the fact that Virat likes to dominate the opposition while Pujara grinds them out, both make one of the most successful pairs in test cricket. The duo has accumulated 2894 runs together with 7 hundred and 14 fifty-plus partnerships and an average of 47.44 in 62 innings together. ## Cheteshwar Pujara who bats at number 3 says that he likes to bat with Virat Kohli because he is a very positive player and likes to play his shots which takes the pressure off him. Speaking to Harsha Bhogle in Cricbuzz in Conversation episode, Pujara said - ## "I enjoy batting with Kohli because he's a positive player. Once he's at the crease, I know that bowlers will try and take his wicket because they feel that they can get him out early".## "But his approach is different, he'll be positive. If he gets a half-volley on the first ball, he'll try and hit it for a four. There have been times where because their [opposition's] focus is on Virat, I get some extra loose balls."## When asking about what they discussed at the crease while batting, to which Pujara said, "As soon as he comes he will ask what are they (the opposition) trying to do, how the ball is swinging. If it's a left-arm seamer, what are the angles he is using, whether he's trying to bowl an inswinger or an away swinger? There's a lot of communication."## Pujara also revealed that they like to help each other when any of them makes a mistake the other one will go to him and tell what should be done apart from building up the partnership. He also said that even though Virat will listen to the advice he will still play his natural game. ## "There are times where he would've played a cover drive when the ball is on the fifth or sixth stump, and I'll go and communicate to him that this is too wide. He plays his natural game, no doubt about that but he's ready to listen to that advice. Because if the ball is too wide for a cover drive, he also understands that it is not in his zone so he doesn't need to play that".## "But he will play a cover drive on the ball which is on the off-stump or fourth stump, but if it is on the fifth stump, he will listen. He will tell me 'yeah I didn't play that well", Pujara added.## As the coronavirus pandemic has put a break on the cricket, Pujara will have to wait till December when team India will tour Australia. The Central government has officially informed the Supreme Court of India today (August 5) that the Bihar government's recommendation for the CBI probe into the death of the actor has been accepted.## Yesterday, the Bihar government led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has recommended the CBI probe after Sushant's father KK Singh filed an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty and also spoke to Nitish Kumar requesting him for the CBI investigation.## For a few weeks now, Sushant's fans and close ones had been asking the centre to transfer the case to the CBI for the fair investigation.
