Hyderabad, May 22, 2021: It was sad day for the Telugu Film Industry who lost a senior PRO, BA Raju. BA Raju, who was a senior film journalist, a publicist, and a producer in the Telugu film industry, died due to sudden fluctuations in diabetes and cardiac arrest on May 21st night in Hyderabad. ## Raju worked with top Telugu stars in his career spanning four decades. He had worked on several films as a PRO (Public Relations Officer) and also founded the popular Telugu magazine Superhit, other than promoting and producing films like Chantigadu, Premikudu, Gundamma Gaari Manavadu, among others. Hyderabad, May 21, 2021: Baahubali director, S.S. Rajamouli's upcoming magnum opus, "RRR", headed by Jr. NTR and Ram Charan is surely one of the highly awaited films of the year. The film is scheduled for October 13 release this year after getting delayed a few times due to the covid-19 pandemic. ## While the release of the film is still a few months away, the period drama film is already finding itself in media headlines for its pre-release activities. Being one of the biggest budgeted films and huge pan India demand, RRR has been the top priority of many streaming platforms for begging post-theatrical rights, including digital and satellite rights. But now, it seems the race of acquiring post-release rights of RRR has reached its conclusion. ## According to reports, leading corporate group, Zee Group has bagged the all-language post-release digital and satellite rights for a whopping 325 Crore and makes it the biggest deal in the history of Indian cinema. It is to be known that Jayantilal Gada of Pen Studios had post-release satellite and digital rights for the Hindi market along with electronic for all languages, which has now reportadly been transferred to Zee group. Meanwhile, Pen Studios had also got the theatrical rights of RRR for Hindi, which is still with them. ## There was a buzz last year about the "RRR" team joining hands with Star Network for satellite and digital rights, however, after the current deal, Star is out of the race, and its Zee Group who has managed to grab gold with this prestigious project. ## RRR is a fictitious story based on two Legendary Telugu Freedom Fighters – Alluri Seetha Ramaraju and Komaram Bheem. Chennai, May 21, 2021: Ever since the trailer of Amazon Prime Video's new web series, "The Family Man 2" has released, it is receiving backlash from the Tamil community for allegedly portraying Tamil people as terrorists in the show. ## Even though Amazon Prime Video has edited the trailer, the controversy around the web series is certainly becoming a big issue with political parties has also started jumping into the matter. After getting calls for a ban on the series on social media, the founder of Tamil Nadu's third-largest party in the recently concluded elections, Seeman, on Friday, demanded calling off the series. ## According to a statement issued by Seeman (via India TV), the politician said that the trailer of the web series 'The Family Man 2' is shocking as it portrays Tamils as vicious and the Liberation Tiger for Tamil Eelam (LTTE) as terrorists. ## "The series seeks to intentionally portray the LTTE as terrorists and Tamils as vicious people. It is no coincidence that Chennai has been chosen as the location", Seeman said and according to him, the web series story revolves around an Eelam - in Sri Lanka- a woman who is portrayed as a militant.## "In a situation where 2 lakh Tamils in Eelam have been slaughtered by the tyranny of Sinhala chauvinism, the attempt to portray the Tamils as terrorists through a web series that stand as the greatest democrats and seeking justice in the international forums through moral and legal struggle is highly condemnable", Seeman continued.## As shown in the trailer, South Indian actress, Samantha Akkineni portrays one of the highly-trained rebels, Raji, in the show. She is a part of Tamil rebels (they're just called Tamil rebels), who joined hands with a dangerous terrorist organization, ISIS, to unleash an attack on India.## Seeman said that Tamils all over the world have been registering their condemnation with great anger. Urging the web series be banned, adding that the films such as "Inam" and "Madras Cafe" that portray Tamils in a wrong manner were refrained from screening in theatres due to widespread opposition. ## The Family Man 2 is created and directed by the famous director duo Raj & DK. New Delhi, May 21, 2021: The seven-member South Korean boy band, BTS released their new single "Butter" on May 21, and within minutes of the song released, it set a new record on Youtube history to reach 10 million views. ## Released through Big Hit Music and Sony Music Entertainment, as BTS' second English-language single, "Butter", took just 13 minutes and becomes the fastest to reach 10 million views on Youtube. The band's new music video also drew around 3.89 million concurrent viewers during its midnight (EST) premiere. ## In the first hour, "Butter" had gained almost 19 million views with nearly 45 million in the first 5 hours. Currently, the song has over 51 million views and over 5 million likes in a time period of 7 hours. However, all the reports turned out to be just a rumor as producers of the film have issued a statement on the same. ## Bollywood trade analyst, Taran Adarsh, on Thursday, shared an official statement from the producers of Maidaan on social media. The statement from producers read, "We would like to share that there is currently no conversation with any streaming platform for pay-per-view release of #Maidaan".## Further in the statement, they said that they are presently focused on finishing the shoot of the film. Mumbai, May 20, 2021: The 17-year old hard-hitting batter, Shefali, who recently received her maiden India Test call-up for a one-off Test against England, has been promoted from a Grade C to a Grade B central contract in the 2020-21 BCCI India Women contract list. ## Apart from Shafali, batter Punam Raut and spinner Rajeshwari Gayakwad have also been promoted from Grade C to Grade B while the likes of Ekta Bisht, Veda Krishnamurthy, Dayalan Hemalatha, and Anuja Patel have been left out from annual contract.## This year, only 19 players have given the BCCI Women contract unlike 22 players in the last year. 17-year-old Richa Ghosh included for the first time and handed Grade C. After donating Rs. 2 crores along with his actress wife Anushka Sharma in a fundraiser recently, Virat has now donated Rs 6.77 lakh for the Covid treatment of the mother of former Indian women cricketer K.S. Sravanthi Naidu. ## Sravanthi, whose mother is suffering from severe covid-19 symptoms, had appealed to BCCI and Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) and many other associations for help. Kohli's gesture was in response to a tweet tagged to him by N. Vidya Yadav, former BCCI South Zone convenor (women's cricket). ## "Honestly, I was amazed at his spontaneous gesture. Such a great gesture from such a great cricketer. I am also grateful to the Indian fielding coach R. Sridhar who also took up the issue with Kohli", Vidya told Sportstar.## The ex-women cricketer had already spent Rs 16 lakh for the treatment of her parents who are under treatment of covid-19.
