Mumbai, February 27 - The controversial reality TV show, superstar Salman Khan-hosted Bigg Boss hits jackpot with its season 16 which was recently concluded after the blockbuster 19 weeks. ## Bigg Boss season 16, won by rapper MC Stan, was one of the most-watched Bigg Boss seasons and reality shows of all time. As per the numbers circulating in the media, BB16 hit 174 million viewers and over 135 billion viewing minutes on Colors TV. ## It was the number 1 non-fiction show Hindi show in the financial year 2023. Bigg Boss season 13, which was won by the late Sidharth Shukla, is the all-time number 1 Hindi reality show. Ishaan Khattar and Mrunal Thakur's War Drama 'Pippa' Postponed To 2024?

Mumbai, February 27 - Back in 2020, producer Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur came together to announce the war drama movie Pippa, starring Ishaan Khattar and Mrunal Thakur in the lead roles. ## "Airlift" director Raja Krishna Menon helmed the movie, based on the book The Burning Chaffees by Balram Singh Mehta who fought during the Indo-Pak war in 1971. Khattar has played the role of Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta.## The movie was originally announced to release in 2021, before makers postponed it to December 2, 2022, due to the covid-19 pandemic which delayed the shoot. When it was looking on track for December 2022 release, the makers postponed it again due to an unknown reason and they are yet to lock the new release date. ## The makers are eyeing only theatrical release as the film is made for the big screen. Now, according to the latest reports, "Pippa" won't be released anytime soon, and there are chances it will only release in 2024 on the silver screen. ## According to PeepingMoon, "Pippa" has returned to the editing table as the final product failed to match the criteria required to get a go-ahead from the producers. Considering it is an 85-crore project, the makers are reworking on it to make it appealing to a wider audience. ## The film takes its title from the Russian amphibious war tank called the PT-76, popularly known as Pippa. Mumbai, February 27 - Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor is busy with the promotion of his upcoming romantic comedy "Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar which is slated to release on March 8 on the occasion of Holi.## Over the last couple of years, there have been talks about Ranbir Kapoor doing the biopics of legendary singer Kishore Kumar and cricketer Sourav Ganguly. Much to the delight of the late singer's fans, Ranbir confirmed that he indeed doing it. ## During the event, Ranbir revealed that he is a part of the Kishore Kumar biopic and has been working on it for the past 11 years. The actor added that filmmaker Anurag Basu has been writing it and hopefully, it will be his next film. ## Meanwhile, the talented actor denied the reports of him being approached for Sourav Ganguly's biopic. It was announced last year and there were reports that Ranbir would be playing the former Indian cricket captain. Hyderabad, February 27 - Blockbuster director Shankar is muddling between the shoots of RC 15 and Indian 2. Telugu superstar Ram Charan's political action thriller and Kamal Haasan-fronted vigilante actioner "Indian 2" are two of the most-awaited films and director Shankar has a task in hand to deliver on both fronts.## The makers haven't locked any release date yet for both films, however, if reports are to be believed, both movies eyeing Sankranthi 2024 release in multiple languages. It is said that Ram Charan and producer Dil Raju are looking to release "RC 15" on Sankranthi at any cost as they have already faced multiple delays. ## On the other hand, "Indian 2" is produced by Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies, and they are also aiming to release the movie during the same period to cash in on the opportunity. Since both films are being directed by Shankar, it is highly likely that the makers postponed at least one film, and it could most likely be "RC 15". ## The chances of "RC 15" not releasing on Sankranthi 2024 are high because Prabhas-fronted ambitious sci-fi actioner "Project K" with director Nag Ashwin is already placed for January 12, 2024, release. It is easily the biggest Telugu movie at the moment. Los Angeles, February 26 - Marvel Studios and Disney's Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania secured the top spot at the domestic (North America) box office for the second consecutive week but suffered a record drop. ## The superhero movie, directed by Peyton Reed, grossed an estimated $32 million on the second weekend, dropping almost 70%. The movie witnessed the biggest-ever drop in the second weekend for a Marvel Cinematic Universe movie. The second on the list is "Black Panther" which dropped $44.7%. ## The total domestic gross collection of "Ant-Man 3" after the 2nd weekend reached $167.3 million. It had taken the opening of $106 million, the highest in the "Ant-Man" franchise. The lifetime collection of the film is projected to finish somewhere between $215 million - $245 million in North America. ## Meanwhile, the movie has crossed $300 million at the global box office after grossing approx. $79 million, including $46.4 million overseas in the second weekend. The total worldwide collection of the movie is now $364 million. Chennai, February 26 - The Tamil film industry witnessed one of the best years at the box office in 2022. It was the year that witnessed some of the top Indian grosser coming from Tamil cinema, in the form of "Vikram", "Ponniyin Selvan - 1", and "Beast", among others. ## After such a massive year, the Tamil industry is now looking to aim high in 2023 with some of the most-anticipated films at the Pan India level lined up for release. One of the films that are the hottest in the trade is Thalapathy Vijay's gangster drama Leo with director Lokesh Kanagaraj. ## "Leo" is arguably the most-anticipated Tamil film of the year. It marks Thalapathy Vijay's second collaboration with Lokesh Kanagaraj after the blockbuster "Master". Despite not much having been revealed yet about the film, there is already a huge demand for it in the trade. ## It was recently revealed that the makers have sold the non-theatrical rights of "Leo" at a record price. Now, according to Pinkvilla, the entire theatrical and non-theatrical rights of the movie have been closed at unheard prices. ## The total pre-release business including satellite, digital, music, and theatrical rights of the film is over 400 crores, which is the highest ever for a Tamil title. The worldwide theatrical rights have been locked at approx. 175 crores, including approx. 50 crores for overseas. ## Thalapathy Vijay is the only actor to have 5 films with over 60 crores share collection in Tamil Nadu state, and his upcoming movie has been valued at approx. 75 crores. The asking price for Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana are approx. 35 crore while the rest of India is pegged at a sum of 15 crores. ## The non-theatrical rights of "Leo" have been sold for approx. 240 crores. The digital rights are with Netflix which acquired for approx. 120 crores (Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada). Sun TV has bought the satellite rights of T67 for approx. 70 crores, while Sony Music has been announced as the Music Partner and it paid approx. 18 crores for the same. The Hindi dubbed prices are said to be in the range of 30 crores. ## "Leo" is produced by Seven Screen Studio. It also stars Trisha Krishnan as the female lead along with Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Priya Anand, and Gautham Menen, among others in key roles.
