It garnered 29 million viewing hours globally in the first two weeks of its launch which is the highest ever for an Indian title on Netflix. ## After debuting at number 3 with 11.7 million viewing hours in the first weekend for non-English films, "Chor'Nikal Ke Bhaga" scored 17.3 million viewing hours during the second week (March 27 - April 2) and was the second most-watched non-English film on Netflix. ## SS Rajamouli's global sensation, RRR (Hindi) had scored 25.54 million viewing hours in the first two weeks and is now the second most watched Indian title at the same time. Mumbai, April 7 - Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has emerged as the winner of the 2023 TIME100 poll, in which readers voted for the individuals they felt most deserved a spot on TIME's annual list of the most influential people. ## Shah Rukh Khan earned 4% of the vote after more than 1.2 million votes were cast. The superstar was competing with some of the most influential people in the world such as actor Michelle Yeoh, athlete Serena Williams, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, and Argentian footballer Lionel Messi. ## Having done more than 100 films, Shah Rukh Khan is top of the game at the moment after the historic blockbuster success of Yash Raj Films' "Pathaan" which was released in January this year and grossed over 1050 crores worldwide. Hyderabad, April 7 - Telugu actor Akhil Akkineni's spy action thriller film Agent hasn't been postponed contrary to the reports. The movie, directed by Surender Reddy, will be released on April 28, 2023, as scheduled. ## There have been reports in Telugu media stating that "Agent" was still filming and the makers were likely to postpone the release. But it has now been revealed that the movie is already finished filming and it will be fully ready before April 28. ## Produced by Rambrahmam Sunkara under the banner of AK Entertainments and Surender 2 Cinema, "Agent" also stars Malayalam superstar Mammootty, Sakshi Vaidya as the female lead, Dino Morea and Vikramjeet Virk in key roles. ## In the film, the government tasks Colonel Mahadev (Mammootty), the head of NSC to capture a rogue agent known to be ruthless and unpredictable. James Gunn Hints At A DC-Marvel Crossover In The Future

Los Angeles, April 7 - It has been a dream of Superhero fans to see the superheroes of DC Universe and Marvel teaming up one day. It is a question that can't be answered by any other than someone who has worked in both camps closely, and that is maverick filmmaker James Gunn who is also now the co-head of DC Studios. ## In comics, the characters of DC and Marvel have crossed each other's paths such as Spider-Man teamed with Superman and Batman, The Hulk battled Batman, and even the Silver Surfer met Superman, among others.## Now, according to James Gunn, the crossover of these superheroes is not a far-fetched dream, especially since he is now in charge at DC Studio. However, this is not gonna happen anytime soon but definitely someday or maybe before his tenure ends.## In their latest issue, Empire quoted (via Deadline) Gunn's take on the matches as a definite maybe. "I'm certain that's more likely now that I'm in charge [at DC]", Gunn told the magazine, "Who knows?" However, "That's many years away, though. I think we have to establish what we're doing [at DC] first".## The filmmaker further said that they have discussed the crossover films of DC and Marvel "but all discussions have been very, very light and fun".## Meanwhile, James Gunn is currently busy with the promotion of his last Marvel project (at least for now) "Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3" which is slated to release on May 5. Hyderabad, April 6 - Telugu superstar Ram Charan is busy with the shooting of his much-awaited political action thriller film Game Changer with director Shankar. However, it has now been revealed that Charan wasn't his first choice for the movie. ## During a recent interview with Mirchi9, producer Dil Raju revealed that director Shankar wanted to make the movie with superstar Pawan Kalyan. However, after listing the story for 45-minutes, Dil Raju told Shankar that Ram Charan would be the perfect fit for the role and that's how he came on board RC15, now a "Game Changer".## Written by Karthik Subbaraj and screenplay penned by Shankar, "Game Changer" in the last leg of shoot and it will soon be wrapped up. Ram Charan plays the protagonist while Kiara Advani is the leading lady along with S. J. Suryah, among others in key roles.## The movie marks Shankar's debut in Telugu cinema. The release date is not announced yet but reports say it will either release on Christmas 2023 or March/April 2024. Mumbai, April 6 - Yash Raj Films' ambitious Spy Universe peaked after the all-time blockbuster success of Shah Rukh Khan, John Abraham, and Deepika Padukone's Pathaan. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film proved to be the biggest blockbuster for YRF and also marked the official launch of its Spy Universe. ## The next film, Tiger 3 starring Salman Khan, Emraan Hashmi, and Katrina Kaif will further see crossovers between multiple characters of Spy Universe films. Tiger 3 is scheduled to release on Diwali 2023, and after that, YRF has lined up two more films and those will be the Pan India tentpoles in the truest sense. ## Hrithik Roshan will return as Major Kabir Dhaliwal, and he will be locking horns with Telugu superstar Jr. NTR in War 2 which will be directed by Brahmastra-fame Ayan Mukerji. Mumbai, April 5 - IMAX recorded record-breaking results at the box office in the first quarter of 2023 as the company announced on April 4 that its first quarter box office earning was $282.2 million, beating its previous best set in 2016 by more than $10 million. ## The record-breaking results were powered by a potent global mix of releases; the first quarter now stands as IMAX's highest-grossing quarter ever for local language releases and also saw the stunning performance of James Cameron's "Avatar: The Way of Water".## As far as Indian films are concerned, IMAX announced that Shah Rukh Khan-fronted mega-blockbuster "Pathaan" delivered IMAX's biggest global opening weekend of all time for an Indian film. The company didn't reveal the box office collection for a particular local movie but revealed that local language films recorded $86.3 million and "Pathaan" was one of the biggest contributors to that. ## "The first quarter is an excellent indicator of the promise we see in 2023 — a year in which we expect to return to our record-breaking levels of box office from 2019", said Rich Gelfond, CEO of IMAX. "Our best-ever box office for the quarter demonstrates that IMAX is wholly unique in its ability to capitalize on both Hollywood and local language box office, and our diversifying content portfolio remains a key, successful pillar of our global growth strategy".## Released in December 2022, James Cameron's "Avatar: The Way of Water" was the highest-grossing IMAX release of the quarter and has now generated $255 million in IMAX — the Company's highest-grossing first-run release of all time. ## As for the local language release, China Film Group's "The Wandering Earth 2", now stands as IMAX's highest-grossing film of all time. Akshay Kumar To Reunite With Director AR Murugadoss For A Special Film

Mumbai, April 5 - Tamil director AR Murugadoss has been missing from the action since Rajinikanth's "Darbar" (2020) which underperformed at the box office. He is, however, currently busy with the promotion of his production venture, August 16, 1947, which is set to be released on April 7. ## Apart from August 16, 1947, the filmmaker has not decided on his next directorial but during a recent interview with Galatta Plus, he revealed what he has been up to in the past two years during the covid-19 pandemic. ## The "Kaththi" director revealed that he is working on a film with animals and a bunch of kids as the lead characters. He had written the script for the fantasy film even before his debut venture Dheena (2001) but due to restrictions on shooting with animals, the movie was put on hold before he finally debuted with Dheena and there was no looking back since. ## The director calls it his dream project which is finally decided to revive during the covid-19 pandemic. The film will have a powerful extended 20-minute cameo and Murugadoss revealed that he narrated the same to Akshay Kumar who liked the idea and agreed to do it. ## Murugadoss decided to make the film with CGI and visual effects and for the same, he connected with an Oscar-winning company called Double Negative, which has worked in Avengers. The director narrated the story to them and they were super happy. They also started the pre-production over Zoom calls, however, a series of flops in Bollywood again put the movie on hold. ## There is no timeline fixed yet for the movie but Murugadoss said that he will definitely do it one day since it is his dream project.
