Ekta Kapoor Comes Out In Support Of Pearl V Puri Who Arrested In Alleged Rape Case

Mumbai, June 5, 2021: Television actor Pearl V Puri has been arrested in an old case that was filed at Waliv police station in 2019 in the Mira Bhayander Commissionerate. MBVC Commissioner Sadanand Datte informed that the actor was arrested on Friday (June 4) evening in a sexual assault case of a minor. But the action was taken after the DCP vetted the case and evidence was collected.## Meanwhile, producer Ekta Kapoor has lent her support to the Naagin actor. Taking to Instagram, Ekta wrote a cryptic note directed to the parents of the girl for the "frivolously" using the 'Me Too' movement to "fulfill their own agendas".## "Will I support a child molester…or a molester of any kind? But what I witnessed from last night to now, was the absolute low in human depravity. How can humanity go to this level? How can people who are upset with each other, drag a third person into their own fight? How can a human being take on another human being and do this?", Ekta wrote. ## Ekta revealed that she had a word with the girl's mother who openly said that the actor is not involved in this case and it is her husband who is trying to keep her child and prove that a working mother on a set cannot take care of her kid.## "If this is true then it is wrong on so many levels! Using an extremely important movement like 'Me Too' frivolously, to get your own agendas met with and mentally torturing a child and making an innocent person guilty. I have no right to decide, the courts will decide who is right & wrong", she added. ## Ekta further added that she has all the messages and voice notes to prove that the false allegations have been put on Pearl. "My opinion only comes from what the girl's mother said to me last night & that is - Pearl is innocent… and it is very very sad if people are using various tactics to prove working mothers are unable to take care of their children because there are predators on the set". ## "I have all the voice notes and messages between the child's mother and me which clearly points to the false allegations being put on Pearl. The film industry is as safe or as unsafe as any other business. But surprisingly, the superstar is not voicing the popular character in the show. ## Salman's brother Arbaaz Khan, who has produced the show, said that it is a completely different show from the movie and they had to make changes accordingly. ## "It's a different show and in a completely new vertical, we had to make a few changes to it. Also, the voiceover artists have done a fabulous job and have done complete justice to the characters. I am sure the viewers won't be disappointed", Arbaaz said. ## "The thought behind creating Chulbul Pandey was to make him a household favorite, and the biggest and most humbling compliment comes from the love this character has received from children. This inspired us to create an animated series based on Dabangg," he added.## Arbaaz further said that the series is an adaptation and reimagination of Dabangg. He believes that the two mediums are different and cannot be compared.## "Everybody is not an OTT fan, and everybody is not an Indian television fan. The audience is very neatly separated or rather bifurcated", Vivian tells IANS.## The actor who is known for his performances as Abhay in Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahani, R.K. in Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, has reasons to believe that the digital world should not be confused with what television has to offer. ## "The digitalization is in the direction of a digital world so if you compare it with television it would be very different because both the mediums are different. I don't think OTT should be in competition with Indian television because the basics never change, so television has always been the base of the mass audience platform, and digitalization is a completely different world", he says.## Speaking about his popularity, Vivian says he never imagined he could deliver a hit following the super success of 'Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani' show in which he played a vampire. ## "I never thought all three shows of mine would do so good.
