Mumbai, October 14 - Filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari has been working on the epic feature Ramayana for some time now. The feature film will reportedly star Ranbir Kapoor as Ram and Hrithik Roshan as Ravan while the search for the role of Sita is underway. The movie will officially be announced once all three main characters finalize.## Meanwhile, Nitesh Tiwari is also showing his interest in author Satyam Srivastava's "The Wielder of the Trishul" mythological fictional book. The "Dangal" director launched the book in Mumbai on Wednesday (October 14) where he hints that he might adapt it for a feature film, "if it's something very exciting".## When asked if he would like to make a movie out of the book he had just released, he said, "It is a tough question. I think I will be very honest here; I would want to finish reading the book because for me entire story arch is really important. The end has got me more intrigued. Once I finish the book and if it is something very exciting as a story, I'd say why not".## Tiwari praised the author for his narrative, which he said was easy for readers to follow. "Satyam has taken mythology and put it in a slightly fictional place, but the book still has a lot of mythological characters who exist in our literature, such as our gods and goddesses. He has integrated both elements nicely. The place where the story is taking place is fictional, but the characters are familiar, so there is a sense of excitement and familiarity as well", he added. ## Meanwhile, the epic "Ramayana" has been in development for a long time now and some of the Oscar-winning team of artists is working on the film. It will jointly be directed by Nitesh Tiwari and Ravi Udyawar while Madhu Mantena, Allu Arvind, and Namit Malhotra will be producing it. Mumbai, October 13 - Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is keeping himself super busy with back-to-back shoots. The actor recently shoot some additional scenes for "Antim: The Final Truth", which will get a theatrical release on November 26. ## Salman Khan will now resume the final leg of Tiger 3 in Mumbai. The last schedule is expected to go on for six weeks before calling shoot wrap on YRF's film by November end. "The team of this Maneesh Sharma directorial will be shooting some action and dramatic scenes over this schedule with Salman, Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi", a source told Pinkvilla.## The Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor, after completing Tiger 3 shoot, will reportedly begin shooting for Chiranjeevi starrer "Godfather". Salman is said to be playing an extended cameo in the film, which will also mark his debut in Telugu. Godfather is the remake of the Malayalam movie "Lucifer". ## "It's around 15-days of work for Salman in the Chiranjeevi starrer. On finishing it, Salman will take his annual break for birthday and new year celebrations. The dates are however subject to change depending on the Covid scenario", the source added. ## Meanwhile, after taking a break from shoots, Salman Khan will commence filming the Sajid Nadiadwala production, Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali in Mumbai in January 2022. The matter will be heard on Wednesday, October 13 at the Special NDPS court in Mumbai, where the NCB's Additional Solicitor General, Anil Singh, will argue that Aryan requires judicial custody in order to continue the investigation into the drugs case in which the agency has made some new arrests.## Earlier, Aryan Khan was arrested by NCB on October 3 in connection with a drugs raid. Maharashtra Government Releases SOPs For Cinema Theatres

Mumbai, October 12 - The government of Maharasthra recently announced that the cinema halls and theaters would be permitted to operate from October 22, for which, the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) would be released soon. ## And now, on October 11, the wait is over for the Bollywood filmmakers as the government has released the SOPs which have cleared the road for Rohit Shetty's "Sooryavanshi" and other upcoming Bollywood biggies, which are lined up for release. ## As expected, the moviegoers will have to strictly adhere to the covid-19 guidelines such as practice social distancing, wear face masks and use sanitizers inside the theatre. The government has set a 50% occupancy cap in the cinema halls and also asked for stagger show timings so that crowding doesn't take at any point in the theatre.## The SOP has also mentioned that those who are fully vaccinated will have to show their Covid vaccination certificate. Fortunately, if one is partially or non-vaccinated, he/she can still enter the theatre, provided they show the 'safe' status on their Aarogya Setu app.## The staff of the cinema halls has been asked to check the temperature of the viewers and allow only asymptomatic individuals inside. The management of the theatres will have to sanitize the auditorium after every screening and also ensure regular and disinfection. The staff is also required to be fully vaccinated.## The government hasn't mentioned cut-off time for cinemas to operate in the SOPs which means that the night shows have been allowed. The government has also encouraged online booking to avoid crowd at the booking store and food or beverages will not be allowed inside the theaters.## Stay tuned...

Mumbai, October 11 - Legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan is celebrating his 79th birthday today. The icon of Indian cinema greeted his fans who came to wish him at his home. On his special day, Big B, in his latest blog post, revealed that he has terminated his contract with a paan masala brand, Kamala Pasand. ## A promo video of the brand was recently launched which inviteed criticism for Big B. Amitabh Bachchan, who is also a brand ambassador for the pulse polio campaign, was criticised for promoting the paan masala brand. In his blog, Big B revealed that he was unware of certain things about the brand and also revealed that he signed the contract with the brand without the knowledge that it categorises as "surrogate advertising". ## "From the office of Mr Amitabh Bachchan", read the statement. "Kamala Pasand - a few days after the commercial was aired, Mr. Bachchan contacted the brand and stepped out of it last week. Upon checking why this sudden move - it was revealed that when Mr. Bachchan became associated with the brand, he wasn't aware that it falls under surrogate advertising".## The statement also revealed that Amitabh Bachchan, after terminating his contract, has returned the money he received for promotional duties. "Mr Bachchan has terminated the contract with the Brand, has written to them his termination and has returned the money received for the promotion".## Last month, an NGO, the National Organization for Tobacco Eradication (NOTE), had also reached out to Mr. Bachchan, appealing him to not endorse commercials that promote paan masala brands.## Meanwhile, on the work front, Big B has plenty of projects in the pipeline. Mumbai, October 11 - The release prospect for the Bollywood film industry has changed in the last couple of weeks. Movies that were supposed to be heading for direct-to-digital release are now gearing up for the theatrical release. One such film is Salman Khan and Ayush Sharma starrer "Antim: The Final Truth".## "Antim: The Final Truth", the gangster-cop drama was earlier reportedly sold for direct OTT release. However, after theaters in Maharashtra were permitted to operate from October 22, the makers changed their plans and now opting for theatrical release. The film was in line for its possible Diwali release. However, the movie is now scheduled to hit the big screens on November 26 after director Manjrekar filmed few more scenes on Salman. ## Salman, who recently returned from Tiger 3 shoot, has been shooting for a few extra scenes. A source told mid-day, "After returning from the international schedule of Tiger 3, Salman filmed some solo dialogue scenes between October 4 and 6. The decision to add more sequences, featuring the actor, was taken jointly by Salman and Mahesh after seeing the rushes of the gangster-cop drama". ## After the latest development, "Antim" will most probably be clashing with John Abraham starrer "Satyameva Jayate 2", which has already been confirmed to release on November 26. Both the films are masala entertainers with a mass audience in mind, hence, it will be an interesting battle at the box office. SMJ2 has an edge over Antim as this John Abraham fronted has been one of the most-awaited Hindi films. Anti, on the other hand, is not a complete Salman Khan film. The actor is playing an extended cameo in the movie which is the official remake of the 2018 Marathi film Mulshi Pattern.## Salman Khan plays a Sikh cop in the film while Ayush Sharma plays a gangster. South Indian actress Pragya Jaiswal is reportedly playing the female lead opposite Salman Khan in the movie. It is produced by Salman Khan Films. SMJ2 is the sequel of the 2018 film Satyameva Jayate.
