India's Oscars 2023 Entry 'Last Film Show' To Release In 95 Cinemas At Rs 95

Ahemadabad, October 10 - India's official entry for the 95th Academy Awards, Last Film Show ("Chhello Show") is scheduled to release on October 14th in theaters across the country. ## Produced by Roy Kapur Films in association with Monsoon Films, and Jugaad Motion Pictures, the movie will have its Thursday preview as the celebration of its Oscars 2023 pick by the Indian jury. The makers have announced that the movie will be released in 95 cinemas on Thursday night, and for that, the ticket price has been kept at Rs. 95.## While the Gujarati-language coming-of-age drama was set to release theatrically across India on Friday (October 14), audiences can now catch it in advance on Thursday night itself at a low price.## Sharing the news, director Pan Nalin said, "There has been immense excitement among fans for our film 'Last Film Show' ('Chhello Show') and we are all too happy to release it on the 'Last Show' of Thursday. Mumbai, October 10 - Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan will be playing an Air Force Pilot in director Siddharth Anand's aerial-based action thriller, Fighter. It is one of the most-anticipated Bollywood films that also stars Deepika Padukone as the female lead. ## Hrithik has been training extensively to attain a lean body for the film. According to the reports, the actor will be spending some time with Air Force officers to observe them closely, and then, he will start shooting for this much-awaited film on November 15. ## "The first schedule takes place outside Mumbai from November 15. It's a 10-day shoot, and Hrithik returns to Mumbai on November 26", according to Pinkvilla. Adipurush Makers Adopt Right Approach To Make People Change Their Minds

Mumbai, October 9 - A lot has happened over the past week regarding director Om Raut's magnum opus film Adipurush. The teaser of this Prabhas-fronted film was launched on October 3 amid huge anticipation, however, after its release, the teaser has become the center of controversy and criticism on various fronts. ## Based on the Hindu epic Ramayana, "Adipurush" is a VFX-heavy film that has become a huge topic of discussion. Immediately after the teaser launch, it received heavy criticism for poor VFX shots which were called cartoonish. However, the first reaction from director Om Raut to the criticism was that he didn't make the movie for mobile and that it will look larger-than-life on the big screen. ## Since "Adipurush" has been made on a huge budget, it was important for the makers to shut down the criticism and win public trust again for the movie that is touted to be the most prestigious film in the country. Mumbai, October 5 - Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan's action thriller Vikram Vedha sees further growth at the box office, thanks to the Dussehra holiday. ## The Pushkar/Gayatri-directed movie scored an estimated 7 crores net on its first Wednesday, jumping approx. 21% from Tuesday. The total net collection of the film has reached approx. 55 crores net in 6 days as the opening week collection is eyeing around 58-60 crores. ## "Vikram Vedha" has underperformed in the first six days though the movie has managed to hold well over the week. The remakes are not working big at the Hindi box office post-pandemic, however, VV has had a strong audience word of mouth which is driving its biz. ## While will be an uphill task to achieve, the 100 crores net mark is still within sight for the film if it manages to hold on to the lower level. Mumbai, October 5 - The teaser of director Om Raut's mega movie Adipurush, starring Prabhas, has been under scrutiny for poor VFX. "Adipurush" is probably the most trolled movie in recent times, however, Om Raut has strongly defended the teaser amid criticism. ## Om Raut and T-Series showed the teaser to industry people on the big screen, and the reaction from the screening has completely opposite to what the audience is saying. The teaser also revealed the first look of Prabhas as Raghava, Kriti Sanon as Janaki, and Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh, based on Lord Rama, Goddess Sita, and Ravana from the epic Ramayana respectively. ## The filmmaker interacted with the media after showing the teaser to the industry people. He said that he was dishearted to see the audience's reaction but wasn't surprised as he made the movie for the big screen, not for the mobile. ## "I was disheartened for sure, not surprised because the film is made for a larger medium — the big screen. You can cut it down to some extent but can't bring it down to a mobile phone. That's an environment I can't control. Given a choice, I'd never put it on YouTube but that's the need of the hour. We need to put it there so that it reaches a wide audience", Raut said according to Hindustan Times.## "My partner and the studio (T-Series) is the largest YouTube channel in the world. This film does require an audience that comes to cinema halls very rarely — primarily the senior citizen generation that doesn't come to cinemas or people from remote locations who don't have access to theaters".## "We need those people to come and see the film because it's Ramayana... We need to reach a wider audience and get them excited. So, as I said, I was not surprised because it's not made for the smaller screen. The movie witnesses a jump of approx. 10% on the first Tuesday for an estimated 6 crores net. ## The jump on the first Tuesday is not big but considering the working day, the jump is a good sign for the film going forward. It also benefits due to the Dussehra holiday tomorrow as the night shows are stronger than yesterday. ## "Vikram Vedha" grossed 74 crores worldwide in the first four days, and including today's collection, the total collection has raced past 80 crores. The movie will see further jump tomorrow and all of sudden, the collection will look good.
