Mumbai, November 26 - Ajay Devgn-fronted suspense thriller Drishyam 2 is having a dream run at the box office during these tough times. The Bollywood industry was in dire need of a movie that performs like pre-pandemic films and "Drishyam 2" is exactly doing that where the biz is complementing the word of mouth. ## Directed by Abhishek Pathak, "Drishyam 2" was released on November 18 and took a very good opening of 15.37 crores net, before clocking a fantastic opening weekend of over 64 crores. The sequel carried the momentum on weekdays and held strongly to cross 100 crores net in falt one week. ## "Drishyam 2" has competition in the second week in the form of Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon's "Bhediya" but still, is not holding back and is looking to clock around 40 crores in the second weekend. Even though there is Ayushmann Khurrana's "An Action Hero" next week, "Drishyam 2" should carry its blockbuster momentum without much trouble. ## As things stand now, "Drishyam 2" looks a sure-shot 200 crores net earner in its lifetime run. It will enjoy a good run until "Avatar: The Way of Water" arrives on December 16 and that should be more than enough for it to cross the 200 crores mark. Prabhas, Kriti Sanon's Magnum Opus 'Adipurush' To Be Delayed To 2024?

Mumbai, November 26 - A lot has changed since the release of the teaser of Prabhas-fronted Adipurush and it looks like there is a lot yet to change. The teaser, which was launched in early October, got mixed to negative responses which forced the makers to take a step back and re-work the quality of the movie. ## It was recently revealed that the movie would not able to meet its original release date of January 12, 2023, and would be delayed, which the makers officially confirmed and announced June 16, 2023, release. However, as per the latest reports, "Adipurush" will be further delayed as the makers are re-working on the entire VFX shots. ## It is said that the budget of "Adipurush" will be increased by approx. 100 crores and the release might get delayed to Sankranthi 2024. It was supposed to be Prabhas' next release, but now, it seems his action thriller "Salaar" with director Prashanth Neel will be hitting theaters first. ## "Salaar", produced by Hombale Films, was announced for September 28, 2023, release and it is very much on track to meet the date without any issues. There is, however, not yet confirmed whether "Adipurush" would actually be delayed or not as there are no official words from people associated with this magnum opus. ## Prabhas, meanwhile, has his hands full of blockbuster titles. He has a film with director Maruthi which has already started production, and then will team up with Sandeep Vanga Reddy for "Spirit". Mumbai, November 25 - Ajay Devgn-fronted suspense thriller Drishyam 2 has crossed the 100 crores net mark in the flat one week, becoming only the fourth Bollywood movie to cross the milestone in 2022. ## Directed by Abhishek Pathak, "Drishyam 2" has managed to collect over 104 crores net in the opening week, after scoring approx. 8.50 crores net on Thursday. It opened to a good collection of 15.37 crores and then picked up handsomely to score a very good weekend of 64.14 crores net. ## "Drishyam 2" held strongly during the weekdays and showed a marginal drop to remain on track to score a huge lifetime total. Overseas, the film has grossed approx. 23 cores, pushing global cume to approx. 145 crores in 7 days.## Produced by Panorama Studios and Viacom18, "Drishyam 2" is only the second Bollywood film of 2022 to reach 100 crores mark in flat one week after Ayan Mukerji's "Brahmastra Part One: Shiva". The Cast For Akshay Kumar's Comedy Film With Mudassar Aziz Locked

Mumbai, November 23 - A few months ago, it was reported that Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar would be teaming up with director Mudassar Aziz for a comedy-drama film, titled Khel Khel Mein. The yet-to-be-announced film will be produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions.## While the movie is not yet made official, the makers have reportedly locked the rest of the cast alongside Akshay in prominent roles. According to Hindustan Times, Akshay's "Bell Bottom" (2021) co-star Vaani Kapoor, and also his "Naam Shabana" (2017) and "Mission Mangal" (2019) co-star Taapsee Pannu would be playing the female lead role.## In addition to this, the upcoming movie will also reportedly feature popular Punjabi singer and actor Ammy Virk in a prominent role. Some more actors are also expected to come on board for which the details are not revealed yet. "Khel Khel Mein" is said to be a proper comedy feature with emotional elements. ## The shooting of "Khel Khel Mein" is expected to kickstart sometime next year after Akshay wraps up his ongoing projects. It scored a super solid jump over the weekend to ensure a huge weekend. The eyes were on Monday's test, and the film passed it with flying colors by scoring 11.87 crores net. ## The sequel to 2015's film, "Drishyam 2" has crossed 100 crores at the global box office in just 4 days, becoming only the 7th outright Bollywood movie to do so in 2022. It has grossed 89.69 crores at the domestic box office and approx. 20 crores internationally, for 109.69 crores worldwide in 4 days.## "Drishyam 2" is heading towards a huge lifetime total and is on track to become one of the biggest hits post the covid-19 pandemic. With the current trend, it will breach the 100 crores net mark in a flat first week with worldwide around 150 crores. Though the movie managed to score around 100 crores worldwide, it was expected to do much better considering the fresh and intriguing subject.## Nonetheless, the talented filmmaker has moved on from the aforementioned film and now working to set his next, which is likely to be with John Abraham. The duo had previously collaborated on "Parmanu" (2018), which is considered one of the finest films in the careers of both and Abhishek is looking to take things a notch higher with his next collaboration with John. ## During a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Abhishek Sharma revealed that he is discussing multiple subjects with John, and one of them is a science fiction film, titled Parlok. ## "Parlok is a science fiction film, a very different genre and in a new space. We have been waiting for the right time to make the film. It's a fantastic story we both want to tell. If you see, I have never worked on one genre consistently, and likewise, this is going to be a new world for me to explore as a director", Abhishek told.## The filmmaker further revealed that he wanted to make "Parlok" after "The Zoya Factor" (2019) but he picked Akshay Kumar's "Ram Setu", which received mixed to positive reviews. He said he has been working on "Parlok" with John for quite some time now and will take it on floors once they are ready with all their resources. The yet-to-be-announced film is an outright comedy film and is set to go on floors by early 2023.## Anees Bazmee already has a superhero comedy film, for which, he joined hands with Zee Studios and Echelon Productions.
