Mumbai, September 15 - Independence Day 2023 proved to be a historic week for the Indian box office which saw three Indian blockbusters joining hands to score huge collections. Thanks to the mammoth response to Sunny Deol-fronted Gadar 2, Rajinikanth-starrer Jailer, and Akshay Kumar's OMG 2, August 2023 has already become the biggest single month net collection scorer of all-time at the Indian box office.## The box office juggernaut of the aforementioned three films continued ever after August, as all three films have now combined generated over 1000+ crores net collection. This is only the second time that Indian movies have topped 1000+ crores net collection after being released in the same weekend. Earlier, SS Rajamouli's magnum opus "Baahubali 2" did the same in 2017.## Gadar 2## The sequel to the all-time blockbuster "Gadar: Ek Prem Katha", Gadar 2 has turned out to be a monstrous blockbuster and is only the 3rd movie ever to top 500 crores net in Hindi, and only the second outright Bollywood movie to do so. In its 5 weeks of run so far, the movie has scored 517.28 crores and is still in the race to top "Pathaan" (524+ crores) to become the biggest Hindi movie ever domestically in terms of net collection. Worldwide, G2 has grossed approximately 676 crores so far.## Jailer## Superstar Rajinikanth's action drama, which was released on August 10, has had an unprecedented run so far. In 36 days so far, Jailer has minted 343.75 crores net in all versions, emerging as the second biggest Tamil movie ever, behind Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar's "2.0" which scored approx. 407 crores net. At the worldwide box office, Jailer has crossed the 600 crores gross mark, again the second highest-grossing after "2.0" (744 crores).## OMG 2## The social comedy-drama film, which is a sequel to "OMG" (2012) scored a timely success for superstar Akshay Kumar who was going through a lean phase. In its 5th week, the movie crossed 150 crores net box office mark, becoming the 5th Bollywood movie of the year to do so. Worldwide, it has generated 220 crores gross in 5 weeks.## All three aforementioned films have almost completed their runs at the box office, but not before doing the unthinkable.##

Mumbai, September 14 - Shah Rukh Khan's mega-blockbuster Jawan has a fantastic extended first week at the domestic box office. The movie has already beaten SRK's own blockbuster Pathaan to score the biggest first week ever for a Bollywood as well as a Hindi movie.## The action thriller, on its second Thursday, scored an estimated 18 crores net collection in Hindi which takes its total cume to around 345 crores in 8 days. Additionally, it minted an estimated 1.50 crores in Tamil and Telugu versions for all India 19.50 crores second Thursday.## Jawan witnessed a drop of around 15% today which is a good hold as overall collections are huge. The total all-India net collection is over 387 crores in the extended 8-day week and tomorrow, on its second Friday, Jawan will hit the 400 crores mark in all versions.## There is no competition for Jawan in the second weekend which should help it to score 75+ crores net. It will be looking to top 500 crores net by the end of the second week in all versions, while in Hindi, Jawan should be able to hit this mark in the third week.## Meanwhile, with today's collection (second Thursday), Jawan also has crossed 2 crores footfalls in all versions, including approximately 1.70 crores in Hindi alone. The movie has beaten the record of SRK's own movie "Pathaan" to score the biggest first week of all time for a Bollywood movie.## "Jawan", which is produced by SRK's Red Chillies Entertainment, scored a fantastic 327.88 crores net collection in Hindi in the first week, surpassing "Pathaan's" 318.50 crores net collection. The 8-day extended first week of "Jawan" is looking to be around 346 crores net while "Pathaan" had scored 336 crores in as many days.## "Jawan" and "Pathaan" are the only two films to top 300 crores net collection in the first week in Hindi. Mumbai, September 13 - Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan continues to score big collections during the weekdays even after a monstrous opening weekend. The collection remains over 20 crores net in Hindi which is a fantastic hold, in its bid to become the 3rd Bollywood movie to top 500 crores lifetime Hindi net.## The day-wise trending of Jawan is better than SRK's last blockbuster Pathaan as collections on the first Monday and Tuesday are higher than the later one. On its first Wednesday, Jawan scored an estimated 21.50 crore net, which takes the total Hindi collection to around 327 crores in 7 days.## The drop today is around 10% from Tuesday which is fantastic as the collection yesterday was itself a huge one of 24 crores. Additionally, Jawan scored an estimated 1.50 crores net in the Tamil and Telugu versions today, for all India 23 crores net collection first Tuesday/7th day.## The total collection of Jawan is around 368 crores with today's collection and the 8-day extended first week is looking at around 387 crores net. The second weekend will be crucial for the movie as far as its long run is concerned. Mumbai, September 13 - Filmmaker Siddharth Anand has been working on the Hindi remake of Hollywood classic Rambo for a very long time. Tiger Shroff was announced to headline this high-octane actioner back in 2017, but even after 6 years, the official production is yet to commence.## In a piece of good news, it was reported last year that the production of the movie will commence by the end of 2024, and the same was later confirmed by Siddharth Anand, who will produce it under his banner Marflix. Now, according to the latest reports, the makers have finalized the female lead to star alongside Tiger Shroff in the movie.## According to Pinkvilla, the "Rambo" remake, which will be directed by Rohit Dhawan, will have Janhvi Kapoor to play the female lead role. This marks Janhvi and Tiger's maiden film together after coming close to sharing screen space in the past. The character details of Janhvi's role have been kept under wraps for now but her role is believed to be crucial to the storyline.## It is said that Tiger will undergo rigorous training under the guidance of international experts and he will be trained in weaponry and guerrilla warfare to prepare for his role as the last surviving member of an elite covert unit of the Indian Armed Forces who returns home to discover a war waging in his own land. ## The shoot of the "Rambo" adaptation will commence by December this year or January 2024 after both Tiger and Janhvi finish their current commitments. Mumbai, September 13 - Actor Ayushmann Khurrana's social comedy-drama film Dream Girl 2 emerged a slipper success at the box office and entered the 100 crores net club in Hindi. ## Directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, the film managed to withstand Shah Rukh Khan's mega-blockbuster "Jawan" and holdover film "Gadar 2" to make a surprise entry to the coveted 100 crores club. It topped the century mark on its 18th day as its current net collection stands at over 100.50 crores.## "Dream Girl 2" has become the 113th movie ever to top 100 crores net in Hindi. The last movie to hit this mark was "Jawan". DG2 is overall the 10th movie of 2023, including Prabhas-fronted "Adipurush" to achieve this milestone. It is currently the 111th all-time highest net-grosser movie in Hindi and will likely finish its box office run at around 105 crores net. ## The film has also become the 4th movie of Ayushmann to score 100 crores net or more, and his first since "Bala" (2019). Ananya Pandey, who played the female lead role in the movie, scored her 100 crores net movie. ## Meanwhile, the worldwide collection of DG2 has crossed 130 crores gross mark. "Pathaan", directed by Siddharth Anand, had minted approximately 544 crores net in all versions while "Jawan" has so far scored 316 crores (5 days). After scoring the biggest single-day collection in Hindi on its 3rd day, the following day takes two steps ahead to unlock a new box office territory for Bollywood. ## "Jawan" has become the first movie ever to clock 70 crores net (unofficial) in a single day in Hindi. The estimates suggest 71+ crores net on its first Sunday/4th day and the collection might go towards 73 crores net depending on the hold in smaller centres. ## The 4-day extended opening weekend of the movie is around 252 crores in Hindi which actually exceeded expectations with the kind of response it is getting, something which was never seen before in Indian cinema.
