Box Office: 'Animal' Scored Second Biggest Second Weekend In Hindi
Mumbai, December 11 - Ranbir Kapoor-led action drama Animal scored a huge 87.56 crores net collection in Hindi in its second weekend, according to producer T-Series. In all versions, the mega-blockbuster minted approx. 93.70 crores net collection. ## Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Animal fell short of Sunny Deol-fronted "Gadar 2" which remained the biggest second-weekend grosser with approx. 90.50 crores net collection. "Animal", at once, looked like it would not only become the biggest second-weekend grosser but also become the first film to score 100 crores, but the collection on Saturday and Sunday came lower than expected to keep at number 2. ## Animal also scored the 4th biggest second Sunday and the biggest ever for an A-rated film with 33.53 crores net collection in Hindi. The first three spots are occupied by Gadar 2 (38.90 crores), Baahubali 2 (34.50 crores), and Jawan (34.26 crores) while the 5th biggest second Sunday belongs to Dangal (30.69 crores). ## As said, Animal is the first A-rated Indian blockbuster to gross 400, 500, 600, and 700 crores at the worldwide box office. In its first 10 days, the movie minted approx. 717 crores worldwide, including approx. 203 crores overseas and 514 crores in India alone.
