Thala Ajith's Valimai Shoot Wrapped Up In Russia!

Chennai, September 3, 2021: Thala Ajith's upcoming actioner, Valimai, is one of the most-awaited Tamil films of the year. The movie has been in production for a long time now after being halted by the covid-19 pandemic couple of times. ## Team Valimai recently off to Russia to shoot important sequences for the film. And now, the latest reports say that the scenes have been filmed and the entire shooting of this H Vinoth directorial has been wrapped up. The team will now move to post-production work. ## The film, directed by H Vinoth and produced by Boney Kapoor's Bayview Projects, has Huma Qureshi, Karthikeya, Bani, Sumithra, Achyuth Kumar, Raj Aiyyappa, Yogi Babu, and Pugazh in important roles. Valimai is slated for a release later this year. ## The majority of the film has been shot in Hyderabad's Ramoji Rao Film City apart from Russia. Chennai, August 25, 2021: South Indian actress Samantha Akkineni made her Hindi debut with Raj & DK's web series, The Family Man 2. While the actress received global appreciation for her act, she also came under serious criticism for portraying a Tamil rebellion called Razi in the Amazon Prime Video series. ## The Tamil Nadu government had urged the Centre to ban the show after the trailer was released. Tamil Nadu's IT Minister T Mano Thangaraj had written a letter that said that the series "not only hurt the sentiments of Eelam Tamils but also the feelings of the people of Tamil Nadu". The actress faced accusations for negatively portraying the Tamil Eelam.## However, after the show was released, many people changed their mind and appreciate Samantha for playing that role. But she is continuing to receive criticism from a certain group of people which led the actress to apologizes to them for unintentionally hurting their sentiments. ## Without addressing the topic herself but responding to the criticism, the Majili actress said in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, "I allow people to have their own opinions. If they decided to stay with that opinion, I am very sorry for hurting anyone's sentiments. I sincerely apologize as it was not something I intended on doing at all". ## "I did not mean to hurt anyone. So, if I did, I am extremely sorry. I am glad that, though, once the show did release, a lot of the noise stopped. I guess some saw it wasn't so bad after all. The movie will see Pooja Hegde playing the female lead opposite Vijay. ## Meanwhile, Sun Pictures has revealed the rest of the cast details and it was surprising to many fans who were not expecting the rest of the cast anytime soon. There are three antagonists in the movie, and one of them is Selvaraghaavan. Suriya's 2D Entertainment Inks A Four Film Deal With Amazon Prime Video

Chennai, August 5, 2021: Tamil actor Suriya's home production 2D Entertainment and Amazon Prime Video have inked an exclusive deal. As part of this collaboration, the next four Tamil movies from 2D Entertainment will premiere directly on Prime Video worldwide, over the next four months, starting from September. ## Interestingly, Suriya's last film as an actor, Soorarai Pottru, was also directly premiered on Amazon Prime Video and got a thundering response from viewers all around the world. The new deal includes films across genres produced by Jyotika and Suriya. In the four films that will premiere on Prime Video, Suriya starrer Jai Bhim, a legal drama, is also included. ## Suriya said, "The past year has been transformative. D44: Sun Pictures Announces The Stellar Star Cast For Mithran Jawahar Directorial

Chennai, August 5, 2021: Dhanush is gearing up to start shooting for his next film, referred as #D44, with director Mithran Jawahar. The movie will be produced by Kalanithi Maran of Sun Pictures. The film, expected to be a family drama with its share of romance, will mark the fourth collaboration between the director and the actor, after Yaaradi Mohini, Kutty, and Uthamaputhiran. ## The story is set in two time periods — the protagonist's college days and his adulthood. Dhanush has two love interests, one during the college portions and another for the latter part of the hero's life. #D44 will have music by Anirudh, who will be joining hands with Dhanush after five years.## The title of D44 will be announced on August 5 at 6 PM. Meanwhile, a day before the title announcement, Sun Pictures introduced the stellar star cast of D44. The Mission Mangal actress, Nithya Menon has been roped in to play one of the female leads. She will be sharing screen space with Dhanush for the first time, and she is likely to be paired opposite his character in the post-college portions. ## Raashii Khanna has also been roped in to play an important role. There were rumors that Hansika might be pairing up with Dhanush after 2011's Maappillai, however, the makers have finally roped in Raashi for this multi-starrer. The National Award-winning actor, Prakash Raj, has also been confirmed to be acting alongside Dhanush for the third time, after Thiruvilayadal Aarambam (2006), and Asuran (2019).## Priya Bhavani Shankar, who will be starring in Kamal Haasan's much-awaited, Indian 2, is confirmed in D44, and likely to be seen in the college portions in the film. The veteran actor, Bharathirajaa, is another actor who comes on board for D44. He will be acting alongside Dhanush for the first in this film. ## Meanwhile, Dhanush is currently shooting for director Karthick Naren's "Maaran". Suriya Plays A Retired Madras High Court Judge In 'Jai Bhim' Based On A Real 1993 Legal Battle!

Chennai, July 29, 2021: Tamil superstar Suriya is working on some of the most exciting and intriguing films. One of them is his 39th film, titled "Jai Bhim", directed by Tha Se Gnanavel and produced by the actor's home banner, 2D Entertainment. ## "Jai Bhim" is based on a real-life courtroom incident. In a recent interview, director TJ Gnanavel has said that the film is based on a real legal battle of a famous lawyer Chandru who brought justice to an Irular tribe woman in 1993. Mr. Chandru was a retired Madras High Court judge when he fought the case for a Tribal woman. Suriya plays justice Chandru's role in the film. ## Though Suriya initially thought of only producing the film, he later read a book on Chandru and came forward to play the particular character. Retd. Judge Chandru is a highly respected Judge, who disposed of 96,000 cases. Gnanavel says contrary to reports, Suriya plays the lead and it's not an extended cameo. ## Manikandan and Lijo Mol Jose play the tribal pair in the film. Rajisha Vijayan is the female lead while Prakash Raj plays an upright cop in Jai Bhim.
