UFC 287 Results: Kevin Holland Vs Santiago Ponzinibbio Full Match & Winner

A Welterweight bout between Kevin Holland and Santiago Ponzinibbio takes place on April 8, 2023, at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida, United States. ## UFC 287 Results: Kevin Holland Vs Santiago Ponzinibbio Full Match Highlights ## ROUND 1: Ponzinibbio and Holland continue to exchange kicks and jabs. Ponzinibbio's calf kicks are landing with increasing frequency, but Holland is responding with kicks of his own. Both fighters are still feeling each other out. As the round progresses, Ponzinibbio becomes more aggressive, attempting to close the distance and engage in exchanges. However, Holland is content to stay on the outside and circle away. Ponzinibbio manages to land a few punches, but Holland defends well and limits his own offense. ## With 10 seconds left in the round, Ponzinibbio catches one of Holland's kicks. They both start swinging, but Holland lands a backhand that drops Ponzinibbio. Despite still moving, that moment likely cost Ponzinibbio the round. The crowd is on their feet in shock. It's clear that both fighters have a lot of respect for each other's skills and are taking a patient approach to the fight. Ponzinibbio's low kicks are proving to be effective, but Holland is finding success with his own strikes. The backhand at the end of the round was a game-changer, and both fighters will need to adjust their game plans going forward. ## ROUND 2: Holland continues to push forward, using his jab to set up his offense. Ponzinibbio responds with more low kicks, hoping to slow Holland down. ## Ponzinibbio appears to be waiting for a big counter opportunity, but Holland's defense is too strong. However, Holland is becoming more aggressive and throwing more strikes. Ponzinibbio lands a spinning elbow after catching one of Holland's kicks, but it doesn't seem to faze Holland. Holland continues to use his jab effectively while Ponzinibbio tries to chop at his leg. ## Holland drops his hands and starts marching forward, causing Ponzinibbio to land a right hand but also allowing Holland to land a left that visibly rocks Ponzinibbio. Ponzinibbio then grabs a clinch, but it doesn't lead to much. As the round continues, Ponzinibbio tries to regain the momentum with aggression, but Holland is able to counter with good strikes. By the end of the round, Ponzinibbio is bleeding from the bridge of his nose. ## ROUND 3: Ponzinibbio's corner advised him that the third round is typically his best round, which he may need if he wants a chance to win. Meanwhile, Holland spent his time engaging with people in the audience. At the start of the third round, Ponzinibbio takes the initiative and lands a couple of good low kicks. Holland, on the other hand, is being more cautious now. ## Ponzinibbio feints and connects with a left hook, followed by a low kick that visibly hurts Holland's left leg. However, Holland responds by pushing forward. Despite this, Ponzinibbio manages to push Holland back and takes the lead while Holland switches stances. ## Ponzinibbio is having great success this round, landing kicks to the leg and hands up top. He commits more to the leg kicks, causing Holland's knee to almost buckle on one occasion. Ponzinibbio targets both legs whenever Holland switches stances. Holland appears to have lost most of his power due to Ponzinibbio's attack. But suddenly, Ponzinibbio becomes careless, and Holland capitalizes on this by throwing a powerful punch that catches Ponzinibbio right on the jab. Ponzinibbio falls face-first, and the referee steps in as Holland follows up with another shot. The impact is tremendous. ## UFC 287 Results: Kevin Holland Vs Santiago Ponzinibbio Match Winner ## WINNER: Kevin Holland via KO (punch) RD 3, 3:16 ## To stay updated with all the latest combat sports news, add Sacnilk.com to your Google News feeds and follow us on Twitter.

Trash Talk Heats Up: Alex Pereira Predicts Israel Adesanya's Future In WWE After UFC 287 Rematch

The announcement of the WWE Endeavor sale and the potential merger between WWE and the UFC has created a buzz, but the focus is now on the upcoming UFC 287 event in Miami. The event features a highly-anticipated rematch for the Middleweight Championship after a gap of 20 years. The reigning champion, Alex Pereira, will take on his former rival and ex-champion, Israel Adesanya, in a grudge match that has already sparked trash talk between the fighters. ## During an interview with ESPN MMA, Pereira was asked about the WWE joining Endeavor, and he responded by making a prediction about the upcoming fight. With the help of a translator, the UFC Middleweight Champion speculated on what would happen to Adesanya after he loses two consecutive fights. ## "Well, that's nice, the UFC is always looking out for their fighters," Pereira said in response to the merger news. "The way that I see it is it's a place for Adesanya, right because, after this fight ... he already lost at light heavyweight [a reference to his loss at UFC 259 against Jan Blachowicz], so it's a place for him to go." ## Following the announcement of the potential merger between WWE and the UFC, the betting odds for future appearances by UFC fighters in WWE were released. Israel Adesanya was listed at +2500, while Alex Pereira came in at +5000. Interestingly, Adesanya has previously shown an inclination towards WWE, as he paid tribute to the legendary wrestler, The Undertaker, at UFC 276 by emulating his iconic entrance. ## To stay updated with all the latest combat sports news, add Sacnilk.com to your Google News feeds and follow us on Twitter.

UFC 287 Results: Gilbert Burns Vs. Jorge Masvidal Full Fight & Winner

On April 8, 2023, at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida, United States, a welterweight fight between Gilbert Burns and Jorge Masvidal is scheduled to take place at UFC 287. ## UFC 287 Results: Gilbert Burns Vs. Jorge Masvidal Full Fight Highlights ## ROUND 1: The combatants have entered the ring and have met in the center. Neither fighter has demonstrated significant output during the initial minute. Masvidal lands an inside leg kick, and Burns responds with a body shot. The crowd begins chanting "Let's go Jorge" as Masvidal launches a teep to the body, indicating that he intends to engage from a distance. Burns connects with a glancing right that grazes Masvidal's chin. ## Masvidal lands an outside leg kick, but the first half of Round 1 remains relatively uneventful. However, Masvidal quickly follows up with a combination that culminates in a powerful leg kick. The two fighters miss punches, and Burns nearly creates an opportunity for grappling, but Masvidal deftly evades. Burns lands a solid body kick, and Masvidal responds with a well-placed kick of his own. Burns sneaks in a right hand, and Masvidal counters with a jumping knee and a hook to the side of Burns' head. Burns lands another right hand, which is proving to be quite effective. ## Near the end of the round, Burns executes a takedown and quickly begins delivering rapid ground-and-pound strikes. Both fighters have performed admirably, but Burns' impactful strikes give him a slight edge in this round. ## ROUND 2: The second round commences with an immediate exchange of punches. Burns displays a more aggressive approach, launching a right uppercut that lands on Masvidal. The latter stumbles back, though it appears to be more of a trip than a knockdown. Regardless, this opens an opportunity for Burns to execute a deep takedown and lift Masvidal up for a resounding slam! ## Masvidal defends himself with a closed guard, and the audience begins to boo Burns. Nevertheless, he has no incentive to take any chances on top. Burns is satisfied with sneaking in punches and elbows while Masvidal remains inactive on the bottom. Masvidal maintains a closed guard, perhaps waiting for a reset. However, Burns is not biting on anything and crawls them over to the fence. ## Masvidal tries to kick Burns off, but the latter's grappling is exceptionally sound, providing Masvidal with minimal breathing room. Masvidal rolls, and Burns stays on top, maintaining a body lock. He drags Masvidal down once again. The fighters eventually end up back on their feet, battling for position against the fence. They separate with 30 seconds left in the round, and Masvidal takes a wild swing. However, Burns anticipates the move and evades the attack. They exchange right hands before the round concludes. ## ROUND 3: Burns initiates a high head kick that nearly catches Masvidal off guard. In response, Masvidal reverts to the low kicks. Burns lands a jab followed by another one. Masvidal counters with a spin kick to the body. Burns becomes increasingly reckless with his punches as he closes the distance, but he is still landing them. A powerful overhand right from Burns rocks Masvidal. Burns continues headhunting. ## Masvidal appears to have regained his composure as he lands a jab and a right down the middle. Burns lands a massive uppercut that forces Masvidal to retreat. Burns now unloading a series of right hands. Masvidal retaliates with a right of his own. Burns connects with a good left hook, followed by another powerful right. Despite the onslaught, Masvidal remains resilient and continues to counter Burns' strikes. ## Burns is deep in a body lock, but Masvidal backs up against the cage and maintains his upright position. Masvidal fights off Burns' attempts to take him down, but Burns ultimately overpowers him and takes him down into half-guard. With about 45 seconds remaining in the fight, it seems unlikely that Masvidal will escape from this position. Nevertheless, Masvidal fights Burns' hands as Burns takes his back. Masvidal manages to scramble to his feet, but there's not enough time left to mount a significant offense. ## UFC 287 Results: Gilbert Burns Vs. As they fought for leverage, Jay rolled back into the ring, leaving Hart almost counted out.
