AEW Dynamite Results May 3, 2023: Highlights, Live Coverage, Winners

Here are the full results for this Wednesday's AEW Dynamite Episode which is slated to air live on May 3, 2023, from CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore, MD. ## AEW Dynamite airs every Wednesday at 8 pm ET on TBS in the United States. In Canada, AEW Dynamite is available through the TSN website. In India, AEW Dynamite airs on Eurosport every Thursday at 5:30 AM IST. ## The show is available on the TSN Direct streaming service at 10 pm Eastern, the same time that the show will air live on TNT and FITE TV. ## AEW Dynamite Results May 3, 2023 ## Adam Cole, Roderick Strong, Bandido & AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy Vs Daniel Garcia, Jake Hager, Matt Menard & Angelo Parker ## The Jericho Appreciation Society stood at the entrance to the ring, biding their time until the illustrious Chris Jericho made his grand entrance. The man himself appeared, sporting a shirt emblazoned with the image of Britt Baker, her visage marred by a black eye. Taking his place at the commentary desk, Jericho wasted no time in providing his expert analysis of the match that was about to unfold. ## Things got underway in explosive fashion as Strong unleashed a barrage of ferocious chops on Garcia, before Cole took over and began to assert his dominance. However, Garcia was not one to be underestimated and quickly managed to wriggle free, tagging in Parker who soon fell victim to a devastating Bandido snap powerslam. The action spilled out of the ring in a wild eight-man brawl, with Hager exerting his control over Cassidy in the squared circle. Despite Cassidy managing to connect with a brutal DDT, he was swiftly caught by Hager on a dive and forcefully slammed into the ringpost. Meanwhile, Bandido took out Hager himself with a daring dive of his own, before both he and Cassidy returned to the ring, taking turns trying to outdo each other with their attempts at stalling vertical suplexes on both Menard and Parker. ## During the brief interlude of picture in picture, Cassidy managed to outsmart both Parker and Menard by keeping his hands nonchalantly tucked away in his pockets, before Garcia blindsided him, allowing the J.A.S. to take control throughout the break. Finally, Cassidy managed to land a stunning Stundog Millionaire on Menard, before Strong made the all-important hot tag and began to dish out a flurry of backbreakers and chops. With a resounding Angle Slam, Strong managed to connect with Hager, but only managed to secure a two-count. As he deftly avoided Menard and Parker's finisher, Strong tagged Cassidy back in, only to see him quickly ensnared in a tight Garcia Sharpshooter. ## However, the tide soon turned once again as Cole clocked Garcia with a devastating blow, leading to a breakdown in the match and a flurry of high-impact moves. Despite Garcia somehow managing to kick out of Cassidy's Beach Break, the pace of the match was relentless and blind tags were quickly made to both Parker and Strong. Cassidy and Bandido responded with a double dive onto both Garcia and Hager, leaving Strong to take out Parker with a powerful jumping knee. In a triumphant moment, Cole lowered The Boom to claim the win, before promptly sprinting up the ramp and launching himself at Jericho, sending the veteran wrestler hurtling through the set in the announcer area. Only the swift intervention of security prevented further chaos from erupting. ## WINNER: Adam Cole, Roderick Strong, Bandido & AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy ## Renee Paquette is backstage conducting an exclusive interview with the dynamic duo of Jack Perry and Darby Allin, ahead of their much-anticipated main event tag team match with Double or Nothing AEW Title picture implications. Perry, with conviction in his voice, affirms that he and Allin may not be the best of friends, but they have relentlessly toiled and persevered to get to this very moment. Allin, determined and laser-focused, declares that they don't care what it takes, but they are destined to make their first AEW PPV main event, and tonight is the night they will show the world what they are made of. ## -In a backstage area, the burly security personnel are seen leading Adam Cole out of the arena, as Jericho, in a frenzy, barks orders to get him out. Britt Baker, the fiery and fierce AEW women's champion, suddenly materializes on the scene, and with a swift movement, slaps the taste out of Jericho's mouth, sending him reeling to the ground. However, the jubilant moment is short-lived, as the security officials whisk her away too. ## -The Blackpool Combat Club is seen in a secluded corner of the backstage area, where the mercurial Bryan Danielson, with an air of superiority, proclaims that he is the best wrestler in the world today, second to none, except, of course, for the men that stand beside him. Danielson hopes that his protégé, Wheeler Yuta, will one day surpass his achievements, as the BCC is all about bringing out the best in professional wrestling, in contrast to the self-aggrandizing antics of The Elite. Moxley, the gritty and unyielding warrior, chimes in, likening their group to sharpening blades, continually searching for pieces of iron to hone their skills. The Elite, he quips, should be grateful for them, as higher levels of competition lead to bigger and more formidable adversaries. Moxley then shifts the focus to his upcoming Steel Cage match with Kenny Omega, emphasizing that their tumultuous feud in 2019 seems like a lifetime ago, as he has evolved into a new and more potent version of himself, one that will leave a lasting mark on Omega, come next week's encounter. ## Saraya (w/Ruby Soho & Toni Storm) Vs Willow Nightingale ## At the outset, Saraya took Nightingale by surprise, tricking her into a pursuit outside the ring to gain an early edge. However, Nightingale displayed her impressive athletic abilities, countering with a high-flying dropkick off the second rope. Nonetheless, Saraya regained the upper hand with a running boot, aided by Storm's underhanded tactics of grabbing Nightingale's boot. ## Throughout the match, Soho and Storm continued their illicit involvement, taking advantage of the referee's distracted attention. Despite Saraya's dominance, Nightingale persisted and executed a thunderous spinebuster. However, Storm intervened again, thwarting Nightingale's momentum. ## Despite the raucous cheers of the crowd in support of Nightingale, Saraya connected with her Knight Cap finisher, nearly securing a pinfall victory. Following a DVD by Nightingale, Storm yet again interjected, but this time, Soho was hurled out of the ring, leaving Storm to absorb a punch. Ultimately, Saraya triumphed with her devastating Fisherman's Buster, aptly named Good Knight. ## In the aftermath, The Outcasts pummeled Nightingale ruthlessly, but Hikaru Shida returned to the scene wielding a kendo stick. As the crowd roared, Shida gave a wry smile and appeared to align with The Outcasts, but it was all a ploy. Suddenly, Jamie Hayter and Britt Baker ambushed The Outcasts, and Shida unmasked her true allegiance by painting AEW on all three of them while Saraya lay helpless, her face splattered with paint and bruised from the kendo stick. ## WINNER: Saraya (w/Ruby Soho & Toni Storm) ## The Tres De Mayo Trios Battle Royale ## The multi-team match involved a diverse range of competitors, such as The Lucha Bros (Penta El Zero Miedo) & Vikingo, Kip Sabian and The Butcher & The Blade, The Varsity Athletes & Ari Daivari, QTV (Powerhouse Hobbs, QT Marshall & Aaron Solo), The Acclaimed & Billy Gunn, and The Dark Order (Evil Uno, Alex Reynolds & John Silver). ## At the onset of the match, QTV initiated an attack on The Acclaimed before Bowens could deliver his final lines, resulting in an explosive start. Evil Uno quickly overpowered Daivari, only to be eliminated by the QTV faction. Fenix displayed his agility by rope walking and delivering a swift kick to Nese, sending him tumbling to the outside. Vikingo then eliminated Woods with a graceful hurricanrana. Solo's corkscrew kick paved the way for Marshall to eliminate Reynolds. The QTV faction celebrated their victory, but their joy was short-lived as both Marshall and Solo were promptly dumped. Hobbs charged at the Lucha Brothers, eliminating them both with his brute strength. ## Vikingo attempted a springboard cross body on Hobbs, who caught him and launched him over the top rope to the floor. Hobbs then celebrated his triumph, but it proved to be his downfall, as he was eliminated by The Acclaimed. Caster was eliminated by The Butcher, bringing the competition down to Silver, The Butcher, The Blade, Sabian, Gunn & Bowens. Silver had a brief surge of momentum, taking out Butcher & Blade, but the numbers game caught up to him, resulting in his elimination. It was then three on two until Bowens pushed Blade off the top rope to even the score. Bowens continued to dominate, but was thrown over the top rope, yet he held on to the ropes with one hand. Gunn & Bowens combined forces to deliver a pair of Fame-Assers, resulting in the elimination of both Butcher & Sabian, and crowning them the victorious team. ## WINNNER: The Acclaimed & Billy Gunn won the Tres De Mayo Trios Battle Royale last eliminating The Butcher, The Blade & Kip Sabian ## TNT Champion Wardlow (w/Arn Anderson) Vs Logan Laroux ## With effortless dominance, Wardlow secured another swift victory through a combination of a press slam, roundhouse lariat, and powerbomb. In contrast to last week's anonymous opponent, Laroux at least had the privilege of an introduction. Following the match, Wardlow issued an Open Challenge, specifically targeting Christian Cage and Luchasaurus. Cage appeared, disparaging the crowd and announcing that the title shot did not belong to Luchasaurus, but rather to himself. Wardlow and Anderson seemed slightly taken aback by Cage's unexpected claim before he promptly exited the arena. ## WINNER: TNT Champion Wardlow (w/Arn Anderson) ## Ricky Starks Vs Juice Robinson ## Switchblade Jay White accompanied Robinson to the ring but he quickly made his exit, leaving Starks suspicious of his motives. Excalibur informed the viewers that Shawn Spears was absent that night, leaving Starks without any backup. Starks wasted no time in taking control, sending Robinson flying into the barricade and proceeding to brawl with him on the outside. Robinson gained momentum by posting Starks and sending him into the ring steps, but Starks managed to avoid a potential disaster by posting Robinson back and body slamming him onto the floor. ## Just as they cut to a picture in picture, Robinson regained control by posting Starks once again. However, Starks made a stunning comeback with a spinning DDT that almost won him the match. Robinson fought back with a Cannonball, a hurricanrana from the corner, and a stiff lariat, but only managed to get a near fall. Starks was able to dodge Robinson's signature move, the Juice Is Loose, but Robinson countered with a brutal throat chop. Starks fought back with a Spear and his finishing move, Roshambo, to secure the victory. ## Immediately after the match, Jay White attacked Starks from behind, attempting to hit his own finishing move, Blade Runner. However, Starks was able to evade the move and counter with Roshambo, but Robinson saved White from the devastating maneuver. ## WINNER: Ricky Starks ## Jack Perry & Darby Allin Vs AEW World Champion MJF & Sammy Guevara in a “Four Pillars” Tag Match ## In a thrilling encounter, MJF and Guevara engaged in a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors to determine who would start the match. MJF lost, yet still managed to outsmart Guevara by making him start against Perry. Guevara was left reeling after Perry executed a springboard corner arm drag, prompting him to scurry back to MJF.## This was MJF's first official action since the Iron Man match at Revolution, and Allin nearly pinned him after he tagged in. MJF quickly regained control after a cheap shot from Guevara, and repeatedly used his scarf to choke both Allin and Perry. However, Allin managed to turn the tables and gain the upper hand, choking both Guevara and MJF.## During the break, MJF and Guevara dominated, but their momentum was cut short after referee Bryce caught MJF assisting Guevara in an abdominal stretch. Allin then made a hot tag to Perry, who went on a rampage, hitting both men with a bounce back lariat and executing Topes on both ends of the ring.## After hitting a Tiger Driver on Guevara, Perry was cut off by MJF, who launched Guevara off the top rope. Allin hit a snazzy combo leading to a Code Red on Guevara, but MJF countered with a sitout powerbomb. As MJF locked in the Snare Trap, Guevara broke it up, leading to both men arguing and eventually fighting each other.## Perry clocked Guevara with a forearm to the neck, but Allin blind tagged himself in and executed a Coffin Drop that nearly took out Perry in the process, securing the pinfall victory. The show ended with the graphic for Double or Nothing displayed, leaving MJF furious. ## WINNER: Jack Perry & Darby Allin ## To stay updated with all the latest combat sports news, add Sacnilk.com to your Google News feeds and follow us on Twitter.

WWE's Hasty Unification Of Top Titles Revealed: Reigns' COVID Diagnosis Sparks Last-Minute Decision At Day 1 Event

According to a recent report from Fightful Select, the WWE's decision to unify the top titles was a spur-of-the-moment choice that arose after Roman Reigns was unable to participate in the Day 1 event due to contracting COVID-19. ## At that point, WWE hastily made the decision to include Brock Lesnar in the WWE Title match, which he ultimately won. This then set the stage for a unification match at WrestleMania 38. Interestingly, some internal documents from the previous year had indicated that there was a plan to split the WWE and Universal Titles. ## Supposedly, Drew McIntyre or Seth Rollins were being considered as potential challengers for Cody Rhodes and the WWE Championship. However, these plans were quickly abandoned, and the idea of unification was ultimately pursued instead. ## It should be noted that the original plans for the King of the Ring tournament were also altered to accommodate the new WWE World Heavyweight Title. The details of how the titles were going to be split remain unclear, but it appears that the WWE was seriously considering making such a move at one point. ## To stay updated with all the latest combat sports news, add Sacnilk.com to your Google News feeds and follow us on Twitter.

SCRYPTS Unmasked: Former WWE 24/7 Champion Reggie Revealed As The Mysterious Wrestler

The veil of mystery has been lifted, and the truth behind the enigmatic figure known as SCRYPTS has finally been revealed to the world. This prodigious wrestler made his explosive debut in WWE NXT towards the end of 2022, sending cryptic messages that seemed to emanate from a troubled soul. With his flashy athleticism, SCRYPTS quickly made a name for himself, picking up a formidable win over Ikemen Jiro in his very first match. ## However, it was Axiom who captured SCRYPTS' attention, as he vowed to unmask the wrestler and expose him for who he really was. When the two foes faced each other on May 2, there was no mask at stake, but it was SCRYPTS' own hubris that would ultimately reveal his true identity. ## After Axiom emerged victorious from their intense battle, he extended his hand in a gesture of goodwill. Yet, SCRYPTS responded with sudden violence, prompting Axiom to retaliate and unmask his opponent. ## To the world's shock and surprise, SCRYPTS was none other than former WWE 24/7 Champion, Reggie, who had been a major player on Monday Night Raw during the title's existence. In fact, Reggie held the coveted 24/7 Title for the longest period of time, adding to his impressive legacy in the world of professional wrestling. ## Mask on, nah, mask off.@Axiom_WWE just exposed @scryptswwe! 😳#WWENXT pic.twitter.com/6Ffcen8S5z— WWE (@WWE) May 3, 2023 ## To stay updated with all the latest combat sports news, add Sacnilk.com to your Google News feeds and follow us on Twitter.

Cody Rhodes Responds To Paul Heyman's Comments On WrestleMania 39 Loss To Roman Reigns

The main event of WWE WrestleMania 39 - night two left many fans flabbergasted as they watched Cody Rhodes fall short in his bid to dethrone Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title. It was widely believed that Rhodes was a shoo-in to claim the coveted title, which made the outcome all the more surprising. ## Currently, the two formidable stars are plying their trade on separate brands, with Reigns and Rhodes remaining on Raw and SmackDown, respectively. With a new World Heavyweight Champion set to be crowned on May 27 at Night of Champions, Rhodes now has a fresh opportunity to contend for the top title in WWE Raw. ## During an interview with ComicBook Nation, Rhodes was questioned about Paul Heyman's recent comments regarding how he needed to face such adversity before he could triumph over Reigns. In response, Rhodes acknowledged that Heyman was aware of his tendency to be reactionary and that he always attempts to do things that people say he cannot accomplish. ## He highlighted how WrestleMania 39 was the most profitable event of all time, emphasizing that a win is a win and a loss is a loss. He also noted that he has refrained from whining about his defeat on television, exhibiting a remarkable level of poise and maturity. ## "The goal is the same, is the best way to put it. The goal is the same for me as a sports entertainer, as a wrestler. I came here wanting one thing. It doesn't mean other stories won't happen that will also be finished, and it doesn't mean there aren't other milestones. We're talking about good things like video game covers, but the important thing to me is still the championship on Roman's shoulders, and it's the biggest match that WWE could do. But it would take a great deal of mountains to be moved for that rematch to even happen. The goal is the same for me,” Rhodes stated. “I just have to see it through and do the work.” ## To stay updated with all the latest combat sports news, add Sacnilk.com to your Google News feeds and follow us on Twitter.

The two men then engage in a grueling lockup, with Solo managing to overpower Rollins and back him into a corner. However, as the referee calls for a break, Solo carelessly swings and misses with a wild punch. ## Undeterred, Solo initiates another lockup and secures a side headlock on Rollins, who smartly slips out of the ring through the ropes. Despite Solo's pursuit, Rollins manages to quickly re-enter the ring before his opponent can make any meaningful contact. ## As the match progresses, Rollins continues to employ evasive tactics, eliciting frustration from Solo, who seeks to gain the upper hand. In a moment of aggression, Solo unleashes a fierce kick and a vicious headbutt on Rollins, signaling his determination to secure victory at any cost. ## Solo unleashes a flurry of punches on Seth Rollins, who valiantly responds with a series of chops and counter punches. In a dramatic moment, Rollins drops down, causing Solo to go flying over the top rope. ## Undeterred, Rollins delivers a swift kick through the ropes, positioning himself for a potential suicide dive. However, before he can execute the move, Solo manages to quickly recover and surprise Rollins with a devastating spinning heel kick, effectively reversing the momentum of the match. ## As the intense back-and-forth exchange between Solo and Seth continues, the latter manages to wriggle free from Solo's grasp while perched on his shoulders, and lands a thunderous enzuigiri on his opponent. Capitalizing on Solo's momentary disorientation, Seth then unleashes a flurry of chops and punches, relentlessly pummeling his adversary against the ropes. ## Undeterred, Solo attempts to mount a comeback, but his eagerness proves costly as he misses a corner splash, colliding painfully with the unyielding ring post. Seizing the opportunity, Seth presses his advantage with a series of devastating blows, culminating in two short-arm clotheslines that fail to bring Solo down. ## Undaunted, Solo summons his strength and charges at Seth, attempting a uranage, only to be met with a barrage of elbows and a stunning discus clothesline. Defying the odds, Solo manages to stay on his feet, but his respite is brief as Seth launches a triple-threat suicide dive, sending Solo crashing into the announce table thrice. ## Despite the relentless onslaught, Solo valiantly battles back, avoiding a springboard maneuver and executing a Samoan drop that nearly earns him a hard-fought victory. As the match nears its climax, Seth manages to slip out of Solo's clutches and almost secures a surprise win with a skillful rollup. However, Solo remains steadfast and determined, weathering Seth's super kick and deftly dodging a rolling elbow to unleash a powerful uranage for another close near fall. ## In a dramatic turn of events, Seth dealt Solo a stinging slap across the face before taunting him with a question about his subservience to Roman. Incensed by the insult, Solo responded with a swift uranage followed by a powerful punch. The referee swiftly intervened, cautioning Solo for his actions, but this did little to quell the surging tensions. In a fit of rage, Solo then turned his aggression towards the official, causing chaos to ensue in the ring. ## Not content to let the matter rest, Seth seized the opportunity to strike back, sending Solo careening towards the unforgiving ring post. Despite this setback, Solo rallied with a valiant effort, slamming Seth onto the announce table with incredible force. However, Seth refused to be outdone, delivering a devastating super kick that left Solo reeling. The situation escalated further when Jimmy and Jey entered the fray, attacking Seth and prompting the referee to call an end to the bout. ## WINNER: Seth Rollins (by disqualification) ## To stay updated with all the latest combat sports news, add Sacnilk.com to your Google News feeds and follow us on Twitter.
