They wasted no time and immediately started exchanging powerful chops and forearms. Ishii charged out of the corner with a shoulder tackle, prompting Moxley to respond by biting at Ishii's nose. In retaliation, Ishii returned the favor with a bite of his own. Moxley then sent Ishii to the floor and followed up with a spectacular tope, crashing into him before taking a celebratory lap among the crowd. ## Castagnoli and Yuta closed in on Ishii, cornering him, until the music of Eddie Kingston abruptly blared through the arena. Kingston stormed out, grabbed a chair, and engaged in a heated argument with Moxley, leading to a commercial break. Upon returning, Moxley regained control with a neckbreaker on the apron. ## Ishii exhibited his trademark no-selling ability, absorbing Moxley's forearms and retaliating with a massive superplex that garnered a two-count. The intensity escalated as both men relentlessly exchanged forearms, captivating the increasingly enthusiastic fans. Ishii unleashed a devastating combination, but Moxley swiftly turned the tables with a perfectly placed strike, dropping Ishii with a Gotch Style Piledriver. Moxley followed up with a series of anvil-like elbow strikes, provoking Ishii to defiantly flip him off. Unfazed, Moxley locked in a Bulldog Choke. ## A thunderous King Kong Lariat from Moxley only managed to secure a one-count, as both competitors continued trading knee strikes, resulting in both of them collapsing. Following a brutal exchange of headbutts, Moxley found himself bleeding but still managed to connect with the Paradigm Shift. To everyone's surprise, Ishii kicked out. Ishii cleverly avoided the Death Rider and retaliated with a punishing lariat, earning a near fall. Ishii shrugged off a Cutter from Moxley and delivered a fierce Sliding Lariat, but Moxley skillfully countered a brainbuster into another Death Rider, coming agonizingly close to victory. ## In a desperate move, Ishii executed a last-ditch enzuigiri, but Moxley responded with a decisive Curb Stomp followed by one final Death Rider for the hard-fought win. After the match, Kingston applauded Moxley for his solo triumph, but Moxley brushed past him without a word. ## WINNER: Jon Moxley ## Backstage, Renee Paquette was seen expressing her frustration while discussing the upcoming Blind Eliminator Tournament. Adam Cole made his entrance alongside MJF, who congratulated Cole on conveniently falling ill to avoid his Forbidden Door match, jokingly admitting he wished he had thought of it himself. Despite acknowledging that no one could match the level of The Devil (referring to MJF), Cole reluctantly agreed to bond with him during the weekend. MJF's driver tossed Cole a shirt that boldly proclaimed "Better Than You BayBay." ## A visibly angry Renee Paquette confronted Jon Moxley backstage, where he was accompanied by Castagnoli and Yuta. Eddie Kingston joined the scene and expressed his disappointment, questioning Moxley's choice to associate with someone like Castagnoli, whom he referred to as a scumbag. Moxley brushed off Kingston's concerns, stating that he didn't care about any lingering animosity from their CHIKARA days. As Moxley stormed off, Paquette urged Kingston to resolve the issue. ## A video package showcased the incredible match between Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay from the Forbidden Door event. ## Prior to the upcoming match, Excalibur provided an update, informing the audience that the scheduled Britt Baker versus Ruby Soho match in the Owen Hart Tournament had been canceled due to Baker falling ill. Soho would still compete tonight, but their match would take place next week. ## AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy, AAA Mega Champion El Hijo Del Vikingo & Keith Lee Vs Daniel Garcia, Matt Menard & Angelo Parker ## Vikingo utilized his impressive speed early on, executing a dazzling double springboard arm drag on Garcia, who was sent flying with a head scissors and quickly retreated from the ring. This prompted Parker and Cassidy to interfere, but their attempts were met with a twist of fate. Parker comically fixed his hair, only for Cassidy to snatch the comb away, cheekily tucking it into his pocket. Amidst a momentary miscommunication between Parker and Menard, Cassidy seized the opportunity to comb his hair as Garcia tried to launch an attack. However, Garcia found himself trapped in a painful bow and arrow hold, with Vikingo delivering a punishing double stomp. ## Menard cleverly tripped up Vikingo, allowing Garcia to regain control and isolate Vikingo from his partner. Parker and Menard capitalized on the situation, executing a well-coordinated drop toe hold followed by a leaping elbow combo. Their success momentarily got to their heads as they decided to mock Lee, who was stationed on the apron. However, their taunting backfired as Vikingo made a blistering hot tag to Lee. ## Lee unleashed his power and steamrolled through everyone in his path. Meanwhile, Garcia attempted to show off by dancing while standing on Lee's back. But his momentary arrogance proved to be his downfall as Lee powered up, dispatching Menard and Parker to the ringside floor. Vikingo, displaying incredible athleticism, soared from the top rope with a massive moonsault, taking out Parker and Menard. ## Back inside the ring, Garcia managed to secure a two-count on Cassidy and locked in the Dragon Tamer submission hold. The match descended into chaos as Parker fell victim to an Orange Punch from Cassidy, while Lee fearlessly shrugged off Menard's chops. Ultimately, Lee delivered a devastating Supernova move to Daddy Magic, securing the victory. ## WINNER: AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy, AAA Mega Champion El Hijo Del Vikingo & Keith Lee ## The Young Bucks and Hangman Page were seen having a conversation backstage regarding their upcoming open challenge for a six-man tag match. Just as they were discussing the details, the Dark Order unexpectedly entered the frame, with John Silver stepping forward to accept the challenge. Page suggested expanding the match to a 12-man tag, but Reynolds insisted that they were accepting the six-man challenge. Evil Uno confronted Page, accusing him of abandoning the Dark Order despite their support during his darkest moments and aligning himself with The Elite. Page tried to explain himself, but the Dark Order was unwilling to listen. ## A brief video package highlighted the outstanding main event from the Forbidden Door event, featuring Bryan Danielson submitting Kazuchika Okada. ## Backstage, Renee Paquette interviewed Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara. Paquette inquired about Jericho tapping into his Painmaker persona. Jericho emphasized that tonight's match was of significant magnitude, surpassing the Forbidden Door event. He declared that the showdown between Sting and himself should be televised on TBS, with Tony Schiavone on commentary. Tonight, Sting would face his worst nightmare, as he would be confronted by The Painmaker, Chris Jericho, who would give him more time inside the ring than he ever desired. ## Hangman Adam Page & The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) VS Evil Uno, John Silver & Alex Reynolds (w/-1) ## Nick and Reynolds engaged in an impressive back-and-forth opening sequence, with Nick executing a skillful rope walk arm drag. Silver eagerly tagged in, specifically targeting Page, who reluctantly entered the ring. Page made another attempt to explain himself before locking up with Silver. Silver displayed his resilience by no-selling Page's shoulder block and retaliating with a powerful back elbow to break free from a waist lock. This awakened Page, prompting him to tag in Matt. Canada's own Evil Uno received a warm response from the crowd as he entered the match. Uno wasted no time in leveling Nick and Page on the apron, briefly gaining the upper hand. However, The Bucks quickly regained control by double-teaming Reynolds and Silver. Uno retaliated with a double clothesline, jaw-jacking with Page on the apron, only to fall victim to a double superkick from The Bucks. The Bucks then executed impressive dives onto the entire Dark Order, intensifying their aggression. They urged Page to actively participate in the fight, which drew boos from the crowd, but ultimately Page remained passive. The Bucks maintained control of the match during the break. ## A miscommunication between The Bucks allowed Uno to make a fiery hot tag, unleashing his fury on The Elite. Uno delivered a neckbreaker assisted by the referee and followed up with a piledriver on Nick, but Page broke up the pinfall. Once again, Page refused to engage Uno, who responded by slapping him, leading to Page finally making the legal tag and engaging in a slugfest with Uno. Both Uno and Reynolds executed double DDTs from the apron, taking out The Bucks. Reynolds and Silver combined forces to hit the Wombo Combo on Page, resulting in a near fall. The Bucks saved Page from the Pendulum Bomb, while Reynolds and Uno crashed on the outside. Page delivered a devastating lariat, turning Silver inside out, but he hesitated, allowing Silver to counter Page's Buckshot with a hurricanrana. Page swiftly countered Silver's home run kick into Dead Eye, and The Bucks followed up with the BTE Trigger. Finally, Page landed the decisive Buckshot Lariat, securing the victory for his team. ## WINNERS: Hangman Adam Page & The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) ## After the match, Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta stormed the ring, launching a fierce attack on The Elite. The Dark Order stood by, observing the chaos before deciding to retreat. Yuta unleashed a brutal brainbuster onto a chair, targeting Matt. Konosuke Takeshita and Don Callis were also present during the chaotic scene. Jon Moxley brandished a screwdriver and viciously struck Page, causing him to bleed profusely. Eddie Kingston rushed to the ring, but he was mercilessly beaten down by Castagnoli and Yuta, who trapped his arm in a chair. Unaware of the unfolding brutality, Moxley turned his back, while Castagnoli ruthlessly struck Kingston's trapped arm with yet another chair. Moxley declared that it was time to bring an end to this feud once and for all, announcing a date and venue—July 19th at the TD Garden in Boston—for a grueling Blood & Guts showdown. ## Video packages showcasing the highly anticipated matches in the Owen Hart Tournament were aired. Viewers were treated to previews of Roderick Strong versus Samoa Joe, Dustin Rhodes versus Powerhouse Hobbs, and Juice Robinson versus Ricky Starks, all scheduled to take place this week on Collision. ## Jungle Boy Jack Perry Explains His Actions ## Perry made a grand entrance, sporting sunglasses and insisting that they turn off "Tarzan Boy" because the fans have ruined the song for him. He announced that he had a car waiting for him backstage while highlighting the wildfires that have affected Canada, implying that he had the means to escape while others were struggling. Perry boasted about cashing hefty paychecks and being involved with the most attractive woman in AEW. He questioned whether he had turned on HOOK or if everyone else had turned on him. Perry emphasized his contributions to AEW and expressed his dissatisfaction with having to associate himself with a second-generation wrestler like HOOK, especially considering that the FTW Title was not officially recognized. According to Perry, their team's popularity was solely due to his presence, and he acknowledged the significance of the FTW Title to HOOK and his family. As a result, Perry declared his intention to take the title away from HOOK. Before he could deliver his concluding statement, HOOK's music hit, prompting him to sprint to the ring and initiate a chase. Perry quickly retreated through the crowd and made his way to the back. Taz expressed his eagerness to witness Perry's impending defeat. A backstage camera captured Perry diving into a waiting car and speeding away, while HOOK watched him depart. ## In a picture-in-picture segment, Sammy Guevara re-introduced his cue cards, primarily focusing on discussing the upcoming main event. ## Ruby Soho (w/Saraya & Toni Storm) Vs Alexia Nicole ## Soho swiftly executed a dominant sweep, taunting Britt Baker before launching a brutal assault on Nicole. Hurling Nicole to the unforgiving floor, she was met with a barrage of punishing boots courtesy of Storm. Returning to the ring, Soho unleashed a snap back suplex with precision. Seizing the opportunity, Soho seized the rubber glove from referee Paul Turner and applied the infamous Lock Jaw submission, forcing her opponent into a swift and effortless submission. ## WINNER: Ruby Soho (w/Saraya & Toni Storm) ## After the match, Saraya held Nicole firmly while Soho added insult to injury by spray painting an L on her. In a scathing post-match interview, Soho took aim at Canada, stating that the originally scheduled opponent, Britt Baker, was unable to compete due to illness caused by the "filthy, germ-ridden country." Mocking Baker and her partner Adam Cole, Soho expressed her hope that they never have children, as they would be weak and undeserving. ## Soho continued to assert her dominance, reminding everyone that Baker had once claimed Soho didn't know who she was. Now, Soho confidently declared her love for who she has become, while asserting that Baker is merely a shadow of her former self. Reflecting on their previous encounter, Soho highlighted that Baker had barely managed to defeat her on her best day, but since then, The Outcasts had stripped Baker of everything. ## Switching gears, highlights were shown of Harley Cameron's unsuccessful attempt to flirt with Anthony Bowens on the previous episode of Rampage, which ended with Bowens revealing that he is gay. In a backstage segment, QT Marshall, Johnny TV, and Cameron issued a challenge to Matt Hardy and Brother Zay for a match on Rampage. Cameron mimicked Zay's signature moan, causing confusion for Johnny and QT but amusing Taz on commentary. ## During Excalibur's rundown of upcoming matches for AEW TV, it was revealed that Swerve Strickland and Keith Lee would face Darby Allin and Orange Cassidy in a Blind Eliminator Tournament match next week. While it was expected that all the teams for the tournament would be announced, MJF and Adam Cole were the only other team mentioned apart from the aforementioned ones. ## Sting & Darby Allin Vs “The Painmaker” Chris Jericho & Sammy Guevara in a Tornado Tag Match ## The action was intense as Allin wasted no time, delivering a shotgun dropkick to Guevara. Meanwhile, Jericho struck Sting's arm with his trusty Floyd the bat, sparking a bat-wielding showdown between Sting and Jericho. Allin entered the fray, sprinting into the mix. Sting followed up with a powerful Stinger Splash, but Guevara quickly countered with a top rope cutter that took out Allin. ## Guevara and Jericho seized the opportunity and unleashed a relentless assault on Sting. Guevara introduced a ladder into the ring, while Allin, despite being launched into the ring steps, displayed incredible agility by flipping up and over them, landing in the front row of the audience. During the commercial break, the four competitors continued their brawl amidst the crowd. Jericho tore apart a Sting sign and forcefully shoved it into Sting's mouth, adding insult to injury. ## Guevara executed a spectacular leaping cutter from the barricade to the ringside floor, targeting Allin. As Guevara attended to Jericho and Sting, Allin capitalized by delivering a breathtaking Coffin Drop, taking out Guevara. Sting and Allin joined forces, setting up multiple tables and positioning the ladder, albeit at a considerable distance. Allin began to climb, but Sting insisted on taking the risk himself. Sting courageously leapt from the ladder, crashing onto Guevara through one of the tables, taking the impact sternum first in a daring moment. ## Allin showcased his high-risk style by diving onto Jericho from the opposite side and then reentering the ring, dropping in with a skateboard-assisted move from the top onto Jericho's back. However, Jericho countered Allin's next move, causing Allin to crash face-first into the ladder. Jericho capitalized by dropping the ladder onto Allin's spine. In a reversal, Allin sent Jericho face-first into the ladder, resulting in Jericho getting busted open. ## Allin attempted a Coffin Splash, but Jericho thwarted him by striking his back with the skateboard. Jericho followed up with a devastating Judas Effect, sending Allin crashing to the floor. Just when it seemed like Sting was out of the picture, he rose from the "dead" and attempted a Scorpion Death Drop on Jericho. However, Jericho countered into the Walls of Jericho submission hold. Sting, crawling towards the bat, unleashed a powerful strike to Jericho's head, leveling him. Sting delivered a thunderous Stinger Splash, but as he went for another, Jericho responded with a Code Breaker, securing a near fall. ## Undeterred, Sting dodged a Judas Effect and turned it into a Scorpion Death Drop, coming close to victory. Jericho attempted a dropkick, but Sting caught him and locked him into the Scorpion Death Lock, forcing Jericho to submit. ## WINER: Sting & Darby Allin ## To stay updated with all the latest combat sports news, add Sacnilk.com to your Google News feeds and follow us on Twitter.

Seth Rollins And Becky Lynch Name Their Top 5 Sports Figures Who Would Make Great WWE Heels

WWE superstars Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch recently appeared on ESPN's First Take to discuss their favorite sports figures who would make great heels in the WWE. ## Rollins kicked things off by naming Bill Belichick, the legendary head coach of the New England Patriots. "Every good heel contingent needs a great manager," Rollins said. "And Bill Belichick is one of the greatest of all time. He's got the pedigree, he's got the dynasty, he's got the look, but he's also got a scowl. He's got a mean mug, and he's not afraid to take a short cut when he needs to." ## Lynch then suggested Katie Taylor, the Irish boxer who is widely considered to be one of the greatest female fighters of all time. "Katie Taylor is a killer," Lynch said. "She's damn near unbeatable, but she's also a silent killer. Very dangerous, but also possibly one of the nicest human beings you'll ever meet. You would think that is a good thing. Maybe she is too nice. What is she hiding? Maybe she's hiding something, maybe she's up to something. Maybe that's how she lures you in, and then, right when she's got you, cuts the legs right from under you." ## Rollins' next pick was LeBron James, the four-time NBA MVP and four-time NBA champion. "LeBron James is too good," Rollins said. "He comes in, drafted number one overall. Want to go to college? No, he ain't gotta go to college. Just come right out of high school, expectations through the roof. Absolutely blows them out of the water. Championships, MVP, all-time leading scorer. You got an accolade, LeBron's got it. Constantly compared to some of the greatest of all time, but everybody's got an opinion about LeBron. Either he's the greatest of all time, or he's never gonna be Kobe. He's never gonna be Mike. You know what, he shrugs it off. He smokes a cigar. He hangs out on a yacht. He does whatever LeBron wants to do. It's his world, we're all just living in it. Very, very easy to dislike. He's too good. He can't be beat." The second-to-last pick was Sean O'Malley, the UFC fighter who is known for his colorful hair and his face tattoos. "Sean O'Malley is colorful, he's cocky, he's a loudmouth, got the most punchable face in all of sports," Lynch said. "Look at him. Terrible tattoos. How could you not hate this guy? Look at his hair. Full clown hair. He's got face tats. Awful face tats. You just want to punch him right in the face. That's a heel." ## Finally, things got a little personal for Rollins with his final pick, as he named Aaron Rodgers as the top heel in the sports world. Rollins, a known Chicago Bears fan, got heated as memories of heartbreak caused by Rodgers' Green Bay Packers beating his team clearly came up. "Speaking of punchable faces, we're going all the way to number one, a little personal for me, this is Aaron Rodgers," Rollins said. "You wanna talk about punchable faces, this guy has got the most punchable face in all the NFL, and he knows it, too. He knows it. He's cocky. He's got swag. He goes out there, tells the Bears he owns you. 'I own you'? I think there was some profanity involved there. We won't go there with that. But this is Aaron Rodgers we're talking about. He goes on the McAfee show, he says whatever he wants. He's got all of his opinions. I wish I was a defensive end. I wish I was coming around the edge. I wish I was getting his blind side. I wish I could rip him apart." ## Rollins and Lynch's picks are sure to generate some debate, but there's no doubt that these five sports figures would make for some great heels in the WWE. ## To stay updated with all the latest combat sports news, add Sacnilk.com to your Google News feeds and follow us on Twitter.

WWE Had Tried To 'Vince-Proof' Some Storylines And Match Bookings

Vince McMahon has been making a lot of changes to WWE's programming lately, and it's causing some frustration among the talent and creative team. ## McMahon has been known to make changes to Raw and SmackDown up to the last minute, and this has led to some matches being scrapped and storylines being altered. This has caused problems for the talent, who have to learn new material at the last minute, and for the creative team, who have to constantly be rewriting scripts. ## One source told Fightful Select that there was a "ton of frustration" around the changes that were made to last week's episodes of Raw and SmackDown. The source said that McMahon's changes were "disruptive" and "unnecessary," and that they were "causing a lot of problems." ## Another source said that McMahon's changes are "making it difficult to plan ahead," and that it's "making it hard to build momentum for storylines." ## It's unclear why McMahon has been making so many changes lately, but it's clear that it's causing some problems for WWE. It remains to be seen how long this will continue, but it's something that the talent and creative team are definitely not happy about. ## To stay updated with all the latest combat sports news, add Sacnilk.com to your Google News feeds and follow us on Twitter.

Seth Rollins Vows To Tangle With Roman Reigns Again After Money in the Bank

Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns currently hold the pinnacle positions in the world of WWE. Rollins, as the reigning World Heavyweight Champion, dominates the Raw brand, while Reigns, the undisputed WWE Universal Champion, asserts his dominance on SmackDown. ## In an electrifying event, Saturday's Money in the Bank, both superstars will grace the ring. Rollins will valiantly defend his coveted title against the formidable Finn Balor, while Reigns will join forces with Solo Sikoa in an epic showdown against The Usos in The Bloodline Civil War Match. ## During their appearance on ESPN's First Take, alongside the remarkable Becky Lynch, Rollins was asked about the likelihood of his path intersecting with Reigns once more. ## "Yeah, it’s inevitable. Roman Reigns Surpasses Pedro Morales For 5th Longest WWE Title Reign

Just a month after celebrating his remarkable 1000-day reign as the WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns finds himself marking yet another monumental milestone. "The Tribal Chief" has now reached an impressive 1028 days as champion, surpassing the legendary Pedro Morales and ascending further up the list of WWE's longest-reigning World Champions. With Morales' 1027-day reign now in the rearview mirror, Reigns has firmly secured a place in the top five of this esteemed and illustrious ranking. ## Presently, only three individuals have held the championship for a longer duration than Reigns: Bruno Sammartino, Bob Backlund, and Hulk Hogan. "The Head of the Table" finds himself 210 days away from eclipsing Sammartino's second reign, a remarkable feat that would solidify his place in history. To achieve this, Reigns would need to maintain his grip on the title until early 2024. ## However, the ultimate challenge that lies ahead is an almost insurmountable one, as fans eagerly anticipate the elusive landmark of 1474 days. Should Reigns successfully retain the championship until well after WWE Wrestlemania 40 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he would surpass Hogan's initial reign. Whether Reigns can surpass the impressive record set by "The Hulkster" remains to be seen, but he has already surpassed the achievements of any other modern-era champion. ## It will undoubtedly be intriguing to witness how Vince McMahon, Triple H, and the entire WWE creative team navigate Reigns' storylines and maintain audience engagement over such an extended period. While we anxiously await the unfolding of time, it is imperative that the world of professional wrestling acknowledges and appreciates the greatness of Roman Reigns in the interim. ## To stay updated with all the latest combat sports news, add Sacnilk.com to your Google News feeds and follow us on Twitter.
