Ex-UFC Champ Cain Velasquez Arrested In Monday's Alleged Shooting Incident In San Jose

Former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a shooting incident in which a man was injured on Monday. ## TMZ first reported that Velasquez was facing an attempted murder charge on Tuesday morning. The San Jose Police Department later confirmed in a tweet that Velasquez is a suspect but did not specify if he’s been charged. ## UFC legend Cain Velasquez spent Monday night in jail. Details surrounding the specifics of his arrest are unclear, though law enforcement says the former fighter was involved in a shooting in San Jose at around 3 PM near a local high school. ## In the alleged incident, one person was shot while another was arrested.
