Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui Shows Growth On Its 2nd Day

Mumbai, Dec 12, 2021: Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui which had an average first day, had witnessed the highest 2nd-day growth for any film in 2021 which is an excellent sign for the film and the industry as this is an important film for the industry. ## After collecting 3.75 Cr on its first day, the film showed a jump of around 30% on its 2nd day and collected 4.87 Cr taking its two days total to 8.62 Cr. ## The growth is very good and more importantly, the circuits which didn't perform well on the first day performed better on 2nd day. The growth in the multiplexes of Mumbai, Pune, and Bengaluru signals a positive sign for the film while Delhi, NCR, and Chandigarh remain the dominating circuits. ## The film won't get much of a free run as many event films are lined up to release in the coming week so the film has to take the advantage of initial days. Chennai, Nov 11, 2021: Ajith's Valimai is the MOST LIKED film on the Book My Show App with over 1.8 million likes. It's the MOST anticipated Tamil film at this point in time. ## Valimai is directed by H Vinoth, marking his second collaboration with Ajith after the 2019 courtroom drama, Nerkonda Paarvai. Billed as an action entertainer, Valimai has remained one of the most awaited Indian films ever since its announcement in late 2019. Mumbai, Dec 11, 2021: Spider-Man: No Way Home is an upcoming American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man co-produced by Columbia Pictures and Marvel Studios and distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing. ## Spiderman: No Way Home is the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) and Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), and the 27th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film is directed by Jon Watts, written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, and stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker / Spider-Man alongside Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jacob Batalon, Jon Favreau, Marisa Tomei, J. B. Smoove, Benedict Wong, Jamie Foxx, Alfred Molina, Willem Dafoe, Thomas Haden Church, and Rhys Ifans. ## Sony released the Japanese poster of Spiderman: no way home which will debut in Japan on 7th January 2022. Tadap Slides Downard on 2nd Friday

Mumbai, Dec 11, 2021: Tadap slides downward on its 2nd Friday with collections of 1.03 Cr India net. The film has faced competition due to the release of Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui and lost a substantial amount of screens and shows but despite that, the film should have collected more on its 2nd Friday. ## The drop is approx 31% from Thursday as Thursday collected 1.51 Cr. The film is for the mass-youth audience and they should have to contribute this weekend too which will give the film a respected 2nd-weekend business. ## The total net all India collections are 22.07cr at the moment for Tadap and worldwide collections(Gross) is at around 28 Cr with overseas markets contributing around 1.95 Cr. ## Tadap is the launch of Suniel Shetty's son Ahan Shetty and he got some appreciation from the public and critics alike. Mumbai, Dec 11, 2021: Today is the birth anniversary of one of the greatest legends the Hindi film industry had ever produced - Dilip Kumar. ## Dilip Kumar started his tinsel town journey in 1944 with Jwar Bhata but his first major success came in 1947 when Jugnu opposite Noor Jehan did excellent business and emerged as the biggest grosser of the year. The success of Jugnu made Dilip Kumar a star. ## Due to the sudden death of the then Box office God - K.L. Sehgal, Dilip Kumar become the Top star in just two years with 2 Back to Back HGOTY - Jugnu (1947) & Shaheed (1948), and from there on this phenomenal star never turned back. It was one horse race till 1961 and this period was filled by Historic Grossers like Andaz (1949), Aan (1952), Naya Daur (1957), and the Biggest of them all Mughal-e-Azam (1960) and Ganga Jamuna (1961). ## Dilip Kumar with Raj Kapoor and Dev Anand formed the 1st Golden troika of Bollywood (The khans came many letters) and it is the former who gave competition to Dilip Kumar. Raj Kapoor literally eclipsed Dilip Kumar in the year 1949 with two back-to-back Bombastic Blockbusters - Andaz and Barsaat. ## Awara in 1951 emerged as the Biggest industry grosser and the competition just heated up on the professional front. But the consistency was missing from the filmography of Raj Kapoor and it was the consistency that made Dilip Kumar bigger than the rest. On the other hand, Dev Anand was going good with hits but huge all-India Blockbusters were missing from his repertoire. ## Dilip Kumar made an astonishing comeback in his 2nd innings and it could be said that no actor was as big as Dilip Kumar comparing only 2nd innings. Dilip Kumar gave some of the Biggest Blockbusters of the 80s Decade in the form of Kranti (1981) which become the highest-grossing film of the year. ## It was followed by Vidhata which was also huge in scale and become HGOTY. Karma (1986) was centered around the thespian and again he gave the highest-grossing film of the year. ## As an Actor and with regards to acting skills Dilip Kumar is the greatest among them all. In fact, this shall be an understatement. It would be worth mentioning that Dilip Kumar was the greatest of all the Bollywood actors to date. The film had underperformed as the expectation was there for over a 4 Cr opening day as the film has established faces like Ayushmann Khurrana and Vaani Kapoor. ## The film took a poor start in the morning though that was expected as generally, these multiplex-oriented films don't start very well from morning itself. The hope was that the film should grow in the evening which it did but only in north belts like NCR and Chandigarh and even there the growth was not like it should have. ## In the past, AAyushmann Khurrana had two films that had crossed double-digit on its opening day.
