Mumbai, Dec 23 (IANS) The makers of social drama 'Mere Desh Ki Dharti' which stars Divyenndu, Anupria Goenka, Anant Vidhaat, recently released the film's poster on National Farmer's Day on Thursday, setting the momentum for its release.## The film directed by Faraz Haider, takes into account the contemporary situations of the country across the rural and urban divide. Bengaluru, Dec 23 (IANS) The trailer of Kannada actor Danish Sait's web series 'Humble Politician Nograj' is out. Helmed by Saad Khan, the series features Danish Sait, Varun Thakur, Prakash Belawadi, Vinay Chendoor and Disha Madan. ## Saad Khan, who directed Kannada film 'Humble Politician Nograj' in 2018, is now coming up with a series of the same name. The film features Danish Sait in the lead role, portraying the titular character of Nograj. ## In the trailer of the web series, Danish can be seen reprising his role as Nograj. The story revolves around corrupt politician Nograj and his journey from being an MLA to becoming the Chief Minister of Karnataka. ## Director Saad Khan said: "I love observing people, their mannerisms and quirks - obviously in a tactful manner. Real life experiences always help in crafting a character or a story. So while writing our show, the world and the other zany characters around Nograj, I was able to draw from my own observational experiences and add comical traits of all the fascinating people I have met into our narrative. The way Danish embodies Nograj and seeing him perform gave me a canvas to work with and that really helped envision everything else." ## He further shares on the challenges of dealing with comedy as a genre and how Danish is the perfect choice for essaying the character of Nograj. "As a director, comedy is not an easy genre to tackle, but Danish and I have worked together for over 8 years now, and we laugh at the same things, almost always. When we work on a scene, instantly we both know whether it works or not. For me Danish is synonymous with humour, and nobody can ace Nograj better than him," he adds. ## Danish opens up about his character, Nograj in the series and says: , "The character, Nograj has a hysterically funny personality with optimistic ambitions. To get into his shoes required a lot of preparation. I had to think and feel like a 'scamster', and to keep the infectious energy consistent. There are some characters that influence your personality and Nograj did that for me in a good way. Though, at times, I do wonder, what will happen to the nation if we actually have people like him." ## Kannada web series 'Humble Politician Nograj' will be streaming from January 6 on Voot Select.

The series, which has been directed by Vipul Amrutlal Shah and Mozez Singh, and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah of Sunshine Pictures Pvt Ltd, will see Shefali Shah essaying the role of a surgeon. ## Talking about the series, producer and co-director Vipul Amrutlal Shah said, "'Human', I had worked on this subject as a film script for 3 years and then I felt that this subject is too vast to be encapsulated in a film script which is only going to be 2 to 2.5 hours and that's when I approached Mozez Singh and gave him the script." ## He added, "He read it and found it interesting. Mozez Singh got Ishani Banerjee on board, followed by Stuti Nair and Aasif Moyal and they started writing this particular show. We wanted to make the series to rightfully represent the medical world and also wanted to portray the personal relationships and conflicts of the characters to offer a wholesome presentation of this world. Los Angeles, Dec 23 (IANS) Hollywood star Jennifer Lawrence is going to be a first-time mom soon and seemingly wants to spend more time with her family once she has her baby. ## The actress portraying Kate Dibiasky in 'Don't Look Up' is reportedly planning to take a "break" from acting after giving birth, reports aceshowbiz.com. ## A source close to Lawrence revealed to HollywoodLife.com that the 31-year-old Oscar-winning actress has a year-long hiatus planned from the big screen after her baby is born. "As for Jen's career, she has really enjoyed having this break and focusing on herself and her pregnancy," the source told the outlet. ## "She has worked hard for several years, and it has been very rewarding for her," the so-called inside source continued. ## The informant further shared: "She is going to get back to acting but not for a year after the baby is born." ## Despite the fact that the Academy Award winner is preparing to take a sabbatical, she is already planning her next big project. ## "She has been reading a lot of scripts and wants to take a role next that shows her versatility as an actress. Hairstylist Darshan Yewalekar opens up on recreating Kapil Dev's iconic look for Ranveer

Mumbai, Dec 23 (IANS) For hairstylist Darshan Yewalekar, the man behind recreating former Indian skipper and cricket legend Kapil Dev's hairstyle for Ranveer Singh in '83', every strand and every wave of hair required nothing less than perfection. ## Ranveer has been Darshan's Muse for more than ten years and the two have worked on multiple films together, but this was the first time they were striving to pay tribute to a living legend. ## Revealing how he understood the brief and the challenge that came with it, Darshan said: "When Kabir sir first met me, his brief was very straightforward. He just said, 'Let's replicate 'the' hair.' Ranveer and I knew we had to be as close as possible to how Kapil sir looked in 1983 and we went through volumes of vintage pictures and almost four to five look tests to get the famous curls right." ## But hair was not just the only element involved in recreating the look. As Darshan put it: "Then there was his classic moustache. It had to be just right and it literally came down to slowly removing a single strand of hair to make sure it looked as authentic as possible! And yes, it is absolutely real. I insisted that we avoid a fake moustache." ## He continued: "At the heart of this story is of course Kapil Dev, the fearless skipper who made the impossible possible. The challenge for me was to transform Ranveer into Kapil sir and to ensure that he closely reflected the legend who made history when he lifted the trophy at the hallowed grounds of Lord's! Every strand, every wave of hair needed to be perfect to recreate Kapil sir's persona!" ## But the process was far from easy. "This is not to say that it was an easy process," Darshan pointed out. "There were a number of conversations between Ranveer, Kabir sir and me, and together we ironed out the imperfections to ensure that we created not a caricature but a character with real gravitas and depth." ## He added: "All of us are obsessed with micro details and so we were open to continue experimenting till we nailed the final look. I am glad that we have been able to do justice to a very special chapter in our history." ## As much as the process was challenging, it was rewarding too. As Darshan put it, "It was a matter of great relief that the captain of the ship, Kabir Khan, was willing to give me time and space to get every detail just right for the overall look." ## All that hard work has paid off for Darshan, who cannot believe the amount of appreciation coming his way. ## Asked about the compliments he has received, Darshan said: "The biggest compliment that I have got from industry veterans is, 'You have made it happen!' The experience has been overwhelming to say the least, especially because it is relatively easier to work from one's imagination, but to replicate something that is a part of everyone's imagination just adds that extra pressure." ## Darshan has been Ranveer Singh's 'mane' man since the beginning of the actor's career.
