Himansh Kohli takes long holidays between projects whenever there is a window

Mumbai, Dec 26 (IANS) Actor Himansh Kohli likes summers and winters alike. But he loves winters as during this season one can layer up and wear heavy outfits which otherwise one doesn't even dare to wear during summers. ## "Also, I'm a hot drinks person and they are relished the most during winters. So the cold season wins by a few points. I also feel Mumbai gets better weather during winters and becomes an ideal place to be in. But, I like slightly harsh weather and glad I got to spend this year's winters in Dehradun where I'm shooting for 'Boondi Raita'. I love the winters because everything is a little cozier during this season," says the 'Yaariyan' actor. ## For Himansh, London is the place to be during winters. "I even like staying at my home in Dubai during this season. It's really beautiful there. I feel most comfortable there as it's my second home. In India, I love to visit the mountains and places like Uttarakhand and Himachal. I make spontaneous plans with my friends and family, and head to these places," he shares. ## People in the entertainment industry hardly get long holidays. "Therefore I take a lot of short breaks, whenever possible. Also, I take my work as the most fun part of my day, so I never feel like I'm working or grinding. I take long holidays in between projects whenever there is a window," adds the actor. ## And, what do you love to eat during winters? "I love all winter dishes, but my favourite is piping hot Gajar Ka Halwa made by my mum. Whenever someone comes from Delhi, my mum sends a casserole full of halwa for me. I also like Kesariya Malai doodh a lot and it is my go-to drink after a hot coffee during winters," he shares. ##

Sandeep Rehaan ready with upcoming single with rapper Krishna Kaul

Mumbai, Dec 26 (IANS) Music producer Sandeep Rehaan is all set to release his next single next year with 'Gully Boy' fame rapper Krishna Kaul a.k.a. Krsna and Punjabi singer Karan Aujla. ## Talking about the song, Sandeep says: "It's with Krsna and we did the shooting in Los Angeles. It is directed by Rupan Bal. The song is going to be a banger. One of the unique songs which is going to be loved by each and everyone whoever listens to it." ## The duo of Karan Aujla and Sandeep Rehaan had collaborated before with songs such as 'Mexico Koka', 'Kya Baat Aa', 'Haan Haige Aa', 'Chitta Kurta', 'Jhanjar', among others and now Indian hip-hop rapper Krsna has joined them for an untitled song which is set to release in New Year. ## Sharing his working experience with Krsna and Karan, he says: "Krsna is a gem of a person and it was really amazing working with him. With Karan, we have worked a lot together and it's a very comfortable space. Shooting in LA was a surreal experience and the song turned out very well. Looking forward to its release." ## Discussing how the pandemic has impacted shooting and what it was like working during Covid-19 outbreak, the producer shares: "As a producer, it was very tough for us and I am sure for the entire world. Everyone's business was going down. For a long time, we were unable to shoot music videos. So, Karan used to make songs and write in the studio, which we are now shooting one by one." ##

Tirumala, Dec 26 (IANS) Film actor and late actress Sridevi's elder daughter Janhvi Kapoor visited the famous hilltop shrine dedicated to Lord Venkateswara and offered prayers on Sunday. ## Jahnavi, who had visited Kedarnath shrine last month with her buddy Sara Ali Khan, was among the VIPs who availed of the 'break darshan'. Clad in a half-sari and jewelry traditionally worn by South Indian girls, the young actress, with her face covered by a mask, was the cynosure of all eyes. ## Accompanied by a friend, Jahnavi later received 'prasadam' and blessings from the priests at the Ranganayakulu mandap. ## The Tirumala temple located in Andhra Pradesh attracts pilgrims from all over the world and is also reputed to be the world's richest Hindu temple. ## Jahnavi has three films scheduled for release in 2022. Off the mark through long on! '83' weekend pickings tipped at Rs 60 cr

Mumbai, Dec 26 (IANS) Kabir Khan's '83' minted Rs 12.64 crore domestically on Day One (December 24), even as its overseas business has been close to Rs 11.79 crore, according to film trade analyst Komal Nahta, who shared the figures on his Twitter handle. ## It registered a good opening in multiplexes and in major Indian cities, Sumit Kadel, another independent analyst, said. "'83' has seen a good opening In big cities such as Mumbai, Pune, Delhi-NCR, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Bangalore. The morning and afternoon shows were running at 35-40 per cent capacity on Day One, but the evening or night shows were house full," he added. ## The turnout for the film, however, showed a jump on the second day of its release and was expected to gain from the weekend, Kadel added. ## "The film is poised for gains on Saturday and Sunday as it will benefit from the Christmas holiday," Kadel pointed out, adding that according to initial reports, the net domestic earnings of '83' were in the range of Rs 16-17 crore. "The first weekend collections are estimated to go up to Rs 60 crore. People are loving the film and the word of mouth is quite strong." ## '83' is facing stiff competition from MCU's 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' and 'Pushpa: The Rise - Part 1', both of which are in their second week and continue to reward theatre owners. ## On the performance of Pushpa, Kadel said that it had "emerged as a hit in North India". The film has collected Rs 32.95 crore (net) till now, Kadel added, and is eyeing a lifetime collection of Rs 50-60 crore (net) in the north. Trailer of Gautham Menon's 'Joshua' hits 1 million views

Chennai, Dec 26 (IANS) The trailer of director Gautham Vasudev Menon's upcoming action thriller 'Joshua' has received over a million views in less than a day of being released on YouTube. ## The trailer of 'Joshua', which features actors Varun, Krishna and Raahei in the lead, was released by music director A.R. Rahman. ## Interestingly, the film does not have music by Rahman but by Karthik, who is known for his singing skills. Rahman, while releasing the trailer, said that he was glad to present the trailer of his dear friend Gautham Menon's 'Joshua'. ## The film, which is produced by Ishari K. She sung Arijit Singh's track 'Tujhe Kitna Chahne Lage'. ## After her performance, Shankar Mahadevan appreciated her and said: "Your performance was just amazing, and I feel now you're ready for playback singing." ## Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur also praised her for her performance. They will be seen as special guests on the singing reality show. ## Shahid complimented Neelanjana, saying: "Your performance was amazing, I absolutely loved it. Makers of 'Anandham Vilayadum Veedu' seek police action against video piracy

Chennai, Dec 26 (IANS) The makers of the just-released Tamil film 'Anandham Vilayaadum Veedu' have lodged a police complaint against websites, Telegram groups and torrent sites that have been illegally uploading the film online. ## Producer P. Ranganathan, in his complaint to the police, said that their film, starring Gowtham Karthik, Cheran, Saravanan and others, had released on December 24. ## The producer said that post the release of the film, several websites, Telegram groups and torrent sites were illegally uploading their content online. ## "We are the rightful owners of the digital rights and we haven't sold our rights to any company or individual," the producer said. ## "Our movie is welcomed by family audiences and these illegal activities are hurting our box-office collections," the producer said and pointed out that such activities would not only affect him as a producer and the people who had toiled hard to bring out the film but would also affect millions of people working in the film industry in the longer run. ## "The cast and crew along with me are presenting a request to stop this piracy menace and save our livelihood," he said. ## Stay Tuned To Sacnilk For More Updates.

New Delhi, Dec 26 (IANS) Madan Lal, who was a member of the 1983 World Cup-winning team and took three crucial wickets in the final, on Saturday showered praise on director Kabir Khan for "doing justice" to each character in '83', and recounted the day when he got to see Kapil Dev's game-changing unbeaten 175 at Tunbridge Wells from the non-striker's end.## Talking about Harrdy Sandhu, the Punjabi actor-singer who plays him in '83', Madan Lal said he was brilliant in the movie.## "The movie is fantastic. Kabir Khan did a brilliant job. Every character in the movie was of equal importance. It was like reliving the moment. Everything shown in it was actually what happened," Madan Lal said.## He told IANS: "Kapil Dev's 175 was also exactly as portrayed. I know it because I was on the non-striker's end when I saw the 'Haryana Hurricane' in action at Tunbridge Wells."## Playing against Zimbabwe, the legendary Indian all-rounder walked in to bat when India was reeling at 17 for 5, with Sunil Gavaskar and Kris Srikkanth both scoring ducks. Kapil smashed 175 off just 138 balls with six sixes and 16 fours -- his top score in ODIs as India scored 266/8.## "The innings did not get recorded, but I can assure you that whatever is shown in the movie is exactly as it happened," said the all-rounder-turned-cricket coach and media analyst, who scored 17 runs off 39 balls and scalped three wickets that day.## Madan Lal became the toast of India for his three-wicket haul in the final of the 1983 World Cup against the then mighty West Indies. He, in fact, had a brilliant outing in 1983, as he notched up 17 wickets in eight matches.## But he saved his best for the final, where he accounted for the wickets of Desmond Haynes, Vivian Richards, and Larry Gomes. 'Pushpa' music director Devi Sri Prasad to make acting debut shortly

Chennai, Dec 26 (IANS) Music composer Devi Sri Prasad, who scored the music for dirctor Sukumar's superhit film 'Pushpa - The Rise', has disclosed that he is to make his debut as an actor very soon. ## Talking to the media, the ace music director, who is popular in both the Tamil and Telugu film industries, said, "My target was only to be a musician which is why I refused a few acting offers initially. But the pandemic has changed my perception. It got me thinking and I wanted to try everything that I am good at. So very soon I will make my debut as an actor. Work for that has already begun." ## The music director was visibly pleased with the success of 'Pushpa's songs in all the five languages that the movie released in. ## He said, "I am really happy and excited. The effort that went into all the songs has really paid off. It almost took me one month to complete each and every song in the film. I meticulously selected the singers to suit a particular language. ## "In fact, Andrea Jeremiah who sung the 'Oo Solriya' song in Tamil was busy shooting. She took permission from the shoot and sung the song. I am thankful to all the singers and lyricists who cooperated well. ## "Sid Sriram was excited to sing 'Srivalli' as he felt this was something new to him. All five songs look more authentic in their respective languages. We were clear that this is not a dubbing film, but a pan-Indian flick and we wanted the quality to be on par with it." ## To another question on how he handled success, Devi Sri Prasad said, "Whether it is success or failure, I always take it to my heart and not to the mind. We put in the same effort for all songs and some of them become hits and others do not. We will have to be prepared for both.
