Saami Saami Song From Pushpa Becomes The Most Viewed South Indian Song In 24-Hours

Hyderabad, October 29 - As Telugu movie "Pushpa" is gearing up for its worldwide release on December 17, the makers of this Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna starrer released the third song 'Saami Saami' on October 28. The first two songs from the film Pushpa - 'Dakko Dakko Meko' and 'SriValli' got a huge response from the fans and expectations from the third single was high. Living to the expectations, 'Saami Saami' song got a massive outcome and becomes the most viewed South Indian song of all time in the 24-hours. Sung by Mounika Yadav and composed by Devi Sri Prasad (DSP) 'Saami Saami' got 9.06 million in the first 24-hours, which is a record for a South Indian song. Hyderabad, October 27 - Megastar Chiranjeevi has proved that he is not only a movie but also a real-life Megastar. The Tollywood superstar, in a compassionate gesture, has promised to finance the cancer treatment of one of his fans named Venkat.## Venkat, who is suffering from cancer, met Chiranjeevi at his office on Tuesday and explained his health condition to him. Despite his busy schedule, the megastar met his fan personally and came to know about his health condition. Touched by his story, Chiranjeevi promised him to help financially. ## The megastar also saw the medical reports of Venkat and advised him to seek a second opinion from a private hospital in Hyderabad. He had referred Venkat to the hospital personally, after which he even asked his team to update him on the case. Box Office: Telugu Film 'Pelli SandaD' Surprises At The BO With Clean Hit Status

Hyderabad, October 24 - Telugu musical romantic comedy film, "Pelli SandaD" has surprised one and all at the box office. Despite getting bad reviews from critics and audiences, the movie has earned a clean Hit status in Telugu. It reported house full shows at some places of Hyderabad in the opening weekend. ## Directed by Gowri Ronanki, the movie has earned approx Rs. 7.80 crores net in Telugu. In the first five days, Pelli SandaD grossed approx Rs. 7.3 crores in India including AP/TG share of Rs. 4.41 crores. The movie cost between 5-7 crores and it turned out to be a profitable venture for the makers. ## It is a sequel to a 1996 film of the same name. The film marks the acting debut of Raghavendra Rao who directed the previous film. The movie tells the story of Vashishtha (Roshann) who falls in love with Sahasra (Sree Leela) at his cousin's wedding. However, things started happening when Sahasra father (Prakash Raj) knows about their relationship, he apposes and fixed her wedding with her cousin Chintoo (Vennela Kishore). ## The movie, however, received criticism for the story, screenplay, and Raghavendra Rao's acting. Hyderabad, October 10 - Power Star Pawan Kalyan, Megastar Chiranjeevi as well as other leading Tollywood actors including Nagarjuna, Balakrishna, Ram Charan, among others cast their votes on Sunday (October 10) to elect new office-bearers of the Movie Artists Association (MAA), the apex body of the Telugu film industry. ## MAA members were voting to elect a 26-member executive comprising the president, general secretary, two joint secretaries, treasurer, and 18 committee members. Actor-producer Vishnu Manchu and actor Prakash Raj are the two contenders battling for the post of MAA president. ## Polling, which began at 8 AM at the Jubilee Hills Public School, was progressing smoothly. It was to end at 2 PM but was extended by an hour by the election officer, Krishna Mohan. There are a total of 925 MAA members and out of them, 883 members are eligible to cast their votes. Of them, 665 had cast their ballots. The counting is likely to continue till 8 PM, when the results are slated to be declared.## Retired employees of the Telangana Cooperative Society made elaborate arrangements for the polling in adherence with Covid-19 protocols. As many as 50 policemen and women were deployed as part of the security measures. The two parties have had a friendly camaraderie on the polling day as the two contenders battling for the post of MAA president shook hands and embraced each other to declare that they are all one. ## Actor-politician Pawan Kalyan was one of the first to cast his votes. Talking to reporters, the Jana Sena president declined to name the panel he votes for. He said MAA elections would have no bearing on the friendship between his brother Chiranjeevi and Mohan Babu. Pawan said the film industry will not split due to MAA polls.## Megastar and MAA founding president Chiranjeevi said he had cast his vote as per his conscience. He said that whenever the MAA elections were held, the same acrimony was witnessed and called for putting an end to it.
