Hyderabad, October 3 - Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, one of the most adored and loved celebrity couples in South India, announced their separation on October 2. As the couple is now heading for a divorce, the two ended their 4 years of marriage to pursue their own paths.

Meanwhile, Samantha, an independent and hardworking actress, has reportedly refused to take Rs 200 crore alimony from her ex-partner and his family. It is said that the actress was offered the amount as part of the marriage settlement, but refused as she is a self-made woman.



The actress has worked her way to the top in Tollywood with her hard work and perseverance. Hence, she decided that she didn't need money from this marriage. A source close to the actress revealed (according to India Today) that Samantha is now concentrating on work, putting aside her personal issues.

"It's not easy for Samantha to get up and go to work every day. She is massively heartbroken. But she doesn’t want any project that she is associated with to suffer because of her personal life. She has always been a thorough professional and continues to be, putting up a brave front every day. It's not in her to be unprofessional", said a source.

Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu got married in Goa as per traditional Hindu customs on 6 October 2017 and then by Christian customs on 7 October 2017. However, from the last few weeks, there were reports claiming that all is not well between the couple as the Akkineni family reportedly wasn't happy with Sam doing bold scenes in shows and movies.
