Kamal Haasan To Team Up With Ace Filmmaker Vetrimaaran For A Film Based On A Novel?

Chennai, June 30, 2021: Two brilliant filmmakers and multiple national award winners, actor Kamal Haasan and director Vetrimaaran will reportadly be teaming up for the first time for a film. This film, like Vetri Maaran's previous blockbusters, too is said to be based on a popular novel and will be made with a huge budget.## It is also said that famous producer Anbu Chezhiyan of Gopuram Film has arranged this meet and Haasan has given his nod for the script narrated by the Asuran filmmaker. The official announcement is expected to be made soon once the paperwork is done. ## Earlier, Kamal Haasan was supposed to do films with Mysskin and Selvaraghavan but those projects never happened after the actor interfered and tried to make changes in the script. One can hope that these things won't happen with Vetrimaaran's film as this combo can surely give the best and unique cinematic experience. ## The Haasan's film with Vetrimaaran is expected to take some to roll out as both the stars are busy with their current films and have a film lined up. The actor will be finishing Lokesh Kanagaraj's 'Vikram" next and it will begin soon. Where And When Will Sivakarthikeyan's Much-Awaited 'Doctor' Release - Theaters Or OTT?

Chennai, June 29, 2021: Actor Sivakarthikeyan's medical action film, Doctor, has been a talk of the town for a long time now. The Nelson Dilipkumar directorial is ready for release since the last year, however, due to the covid-19 pandemic, it kept getting postponed. The movie was all set to hit theaters on March 26, 2021, however, due to the elections in Tamil Nadu, makers again postponed the release indefinitely. ## While the makers had a chance to release the "Doctor" in March this year before they announced the postponement, the second covid-19 wave made sure their wait gets longer if they still want theatrical release. As of June 2021, there are still no signs of releasing the movie anytime soon. However, there are a lot of rumors that have started making noise regarding the medium "Doctor" will release on. ## Recently, the producer of the film, KJR Studios had announced that the film will get the right release when things become normal. Ever since it has been speculated that Doctor has been sold to Disney+Hostar for direct-to-digital release in 4 South Indian languages. However, there is no official confirmation yet from the makers of the film. ## On the other hand, as per the latest buzz in Kollywood, the movie is still very much in line to get a theatrical release. While Disney Plus indeed approached the "Doctor" team to grab the streaming rights, it has also been said that the streaming giant also wanted the satellite rights to be given to Vijay TV. But KJR Studios had already inked a deal with Sun TV for the TV premiere, so things didn't go as per plan. ## And now, if there is anything to go by the buzz, Doctor will be hitting theaters on August 14 or 15 this year. However, the OTT release of the film can not be ruled out as theaters in Tamil Nadu are yet to reopen, which may (or already) force the makers to take the OTT route. Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, And Samantha Akkineni's Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal To Release In October

Chennai, June 28, 2021: The dynamic trio of Vijay Sethupathi, Samantha Akkineni, and Nayanthara have teamed up together for the first time in Vignesh Shivan's Tamil romantic comedy "Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal". ## While Samantha and Nayanthara have already worked with Vijay Sethupathi in Super Deluxe and Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, respectively, it is also the first time when two leading ladies of South India working together in a film. ## The shooting of the film was supposed to take place in April 2020 but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown. In May 2020, the production house announced that the film will go on floors from August 2020. Ajith Kumar Receives Bomb Threat, Hoax Caller Identified

Chennai, June 3, 2021: Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar received a bomb threat call on May 31, however, it turned out to be a hoax, and the Chennai police has identified the hoax caller. ## According to reports, the threat call was made to the Chennai city police control room, in which the caller said a bomb has been planted at the actor's house in the city's Injambakkam area. The Police rushed to the actor's house but no bomb found after searching till late at night. ## Cops soon started an investigation and traced the caller named Dinesh, a mentally ill person who lives in the Marakkanam town of the state. Media reports also suggest that Dinesh was involved in making similar calls in the past to actors such as Rajinikanth and Vijay.## This is not the first time Thala Ajith received such threats. The actor had received such a call for the first time in 2014 which turned out to be false. Again in 2017, he had received a similar bomb threat that had caused. Last year in July too, he had received a threat call and police took immediate action in the case. Jagame Thandhiram Would Have Been A Great Theatrical Experience, Says Dhanush

Chennai, June 1, 2021: Tamil superstar Dhanush's most-awaited film, Jagame Thandhiram's trailer was launched on Tuesday, June 1. Earlier this year, Dhanush mentioned that the movie is made for the big screen only, however, in February, the producer S Sashikanth of Y Not Studio decided to release it against theaters on Netflix. ## As Dhanush was quite confident about the theatrical release, the decision of the direct OTT release on Netflix did disappoint him.
