Box Office: 'Kalki 2898 AD' Second Sunday Early Estimates

Mumbai, July 7 - Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD clocks 49+ crores net collection in its second weekend in the dubbed Hindi version after big Sunday. The movie witnessed a drop of around 40% from the first Friday to Sunday weekend which is an excellent hold. ## The Nag Ashwin's directorial sci-fi epic crossed the 200 crores net mark after scoring an estimated 22-23 crores net (+22%) on its second Sunday (11th day) in Hindi, pushing the total to around 212 crores net. Subject to the official collection, it may or may not have crossed Fighter (212.80 crores net approx) to become the biggest Hindi grosser of the year. ## The excellent second-weekend hold signifies acceptance among the general movie lovers and this should help it to have long legs at the box office. The movie is performing equally well in multiplex and mass pockets which is another good sign for its longevity. The target for it will be to top RRR (272.80 crores net approx.) and with one more push, it might touch 300 crore net also in Hindi. ## In all versions, Kalki witnessed a jump of around +20% today for an estimated 48+ crore gross collection, pushing the total domestic gross to an estimated 603 crores (507 crores net) in just 11 days. Mumbai, July 7 - Kalki 2898 AD continues to run riot at the ticket window and has already sold over 2.50 crores of tickets in the first 10 days in all languages. Now, the movie has unlocked another milestone on the ticketing platform, Book My Show. ## The Prabhas-fronted sci-fi epic has become the first film of 2024 to sell 10 million tickets on Book My Show as it achieved this feat on July 7th. After opening pre-sales sales on June 23, Kalki 2898 AD sold around 6.50 million tickets till June 30. ## Kalki remained rock solid during the weekdays, and from July 1st to July 6th, it sold around 3.35 million tickets, for a total of around 9.75 million tickets on BMS. Mumbai, July 7 - With one eye on the ultimate milestone of 1000 crores gross, Prabhas-fronted sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD has crossed 750 crores at the worldwide box office in just 10 days, the first Indian movie to do so since Ranbir Kapoor's Animal in December last year. ## Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki witnessed a jump of over 100% to gross around 40 crores at the domestic box office on its second Saturday while the worldwide collection for the day was over 50 crores gross to take the total global cume to around 760 crores in 10 days. ## In India, the film has grossed an estimated 555 crores while overseas collection is 205 crores in 10 days so far. Mumbai, July 4 - Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD has beaten Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone's Fighter to score the biggest first week of 2024 at the Hindi box office. ## Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD has earned approximately 152.30 crores net collection in Hindi in 7 days so far, whereas, Fighter had scored 146.50 crores in its extended first week. Prabhas 'Salaar 2' Shoot To Begin On August 10

Hyderabad, July 3 - Pan India superstar Prabhas, currently basking on the mega box office success of Kalki 2898 AD, is set to start the sequel of last year's success Salaar, directed by Prashanth Neel amid the rumours of it getting shelved. ## Salaar Part 1 was one of the highest-grossing Indian films of 2023 and the makers planned to commence the shoot of Salar Part 2 sooner than later to complete the story. The movie was supposed to go on floors by June this year but now, it will roll out in August. ## According to the report by Pinkvilla, the 20% shoot of Salaar 2 is already completed and the makers will resume it on August 10 with a 15-day schedule at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. It is said that plans to resume the filming in June were delayed due to weather and date issues. ## Prashanth Neel, meanwhile also has Jr. NTR's Dragon and the report says that the filmmaker will juggle between the shoots of the two movies. SSMB 29: Prithviraj Sukumaran To Play Antagonist Against Mahesh Babu In SS Rajamouli's Next

Hyderabad, July 2 - As the world is waiting for SS Rajamouli's next which is with Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu, the maverick filmmaker has reportedly finalized the antagonist to take on Pokiri star in this highly-anticipated Pan India movie, tentatively titled SSMB 29. ## According to the report by Pinkvilla, SS Rajamouli has been in talks with Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran to come on board as the main villain and the actor has finally agreed to do the same. It is said that Prithviraj's role as antagonist will have a backstory to justify his action. ## As reported earlier, SSMB29 will be an African Jungle Adventure, on the lines of Indiana Jones in which Mahesh Babu's character reportedly has traits of Lord Hanuman. SS Rajamouli has completed most of the scripting and is locking the rest of the cast. ## There were rumours in the past that Indonesian actress, Chelsea Islan would play the female lead, however, nothing was confirmed. The movie will be produced by an international and SSR is reportedly in talks with Disney and Sony Pictures for the same. Hyderabad, July 2 - The sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD starring Pan India superstar Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani showed a strong hold on the film's first Monday at the domestic as well as the overseas box office.## Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD entered the crucial Monday after grossing over 500 crores worldwide in its 4-day opening weekend. The strong hold on Monday was crucial for the movie for its longevity at the box office and it did the same. ## Kalki grossed an estimated 40+ crores on its 5th day in India in all versions, dropping around 60% from Sunday which is a good hold after the huge weekend collection. Box Office: Top 10 Highest-Grossing South Indian Films In Hindi

Mumbai, October 9 - Maverick director SS Rajamouli's epic blockbuster Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion set the benchmark for not just Telugu cinema but also in the Hindi and rest of the versions. It was the last film to sell over 5 crores tickets in Hindi. Baahubali 2 was only the second South Indian film, after Baahubali, to reach 100 crores net mark in Hindi. While no other film could come close to the footfalls benchmark set by BB2, nearly a dozen South Indian films have managed to breach 100 crores net mark in Hindi, with Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 - The Rule went on to become, not the biggest dubbed grosser, but also the biggest Hindi net grosser of all-time with over 800 crores. The latest South Indian film to join the 100 crores net club in Hindi is Rishab Shetty's Kannada blockbuster Kantara Chapter 1, which is the prequel to 2022's Kantara. Box Office: 'Kalki 2898 AD' Storms Past 500 Crore Worldwide Gross In 4 Days

Hyderabad, July 1 - Kalki 2898 AD is an unstoppable force at the box office and has topped 500 crores worldwide in the opening weekend, exceeding all expectations despite being a mid-week release in India as well as internationally. ## The Prabhas-fronted sci-fi epic was all in its box-office glory and finished the opening weekend with an estimated 130+ crores gross on Sunday globally and this takes its total collection past 500 crores. It has also become Prabhas' 4th highest-grossing movie ever in just 4 days, behind Baahubali 2, Baahubali, and Salaar: Ceasefire.## In India, the movie has minted an estimated 370 crores gross while the overseas collection is approximately 145 crores, for 515 crores worldwide total.
