Box Office: 'Kalki 2898 AD' Becomes Fastest Indian Movie To Earn 100 Crore Gross In North America

Los Angeles, July 2 - One of the biggest overseas markets for Indian movies, North America has delivered again, this time for Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD as it has become the fastest Indian movie ever to top 100 crores gross collection there.

Directed by Nag Ashwin, the sci-fi epic grossed an estimated $12+ million (100+ crores gross) in North America in just 5 days+previews, making it the fastest Indian title ever to do so. Kalki 2898 AD is expected to finish the full first week at around $14 million.

Kalki 2898 AD is having an exceptional run at the overseas box office had has crossed 160 crores gross in 5 days. Worldwide, the movie is nearing 600 crores in gross collection after scoring approximately 570 crores through the first Monday. It will top 600 crores with today's collection.

Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, Kalki also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani. It is set in a post-apocalyptic world in the year 2898 AD and follows a select group on a mission to save Kalki, the unborn child of SUM-80, a lab subject.
