Jeethu Joseph To Direct Venkatesh In Telugu Remake Of Malayalam Film 'Drishyam 2'

Mohanlal starrer Malayalam movie, Drishyam 2 premiered on Amazon Prime Video on February 19 and it is getting brilliant reviews from the viewers. The Telugu remake of this suspense thriller is already in work with Jeethu Joseph returning to helm the much-anticipated remake with Telugu superstar Venkatesh. ## Released in 2014, the Telugu remake of Drishyam, titled Drushyam was directed by Sripriya, but this time, the sequel will be directed by Jeethu himself who shot to national fame with Mohanlal starrer. Venkatesh, who starred in Drushyam, will carry forward his role in the sequel. ## Jeethu Joseph announced the sequel of the Telugu remake. He also confirmed that the shooting will begin next month in March and will be wrapped up as soon as possible. It has been reported that Jeethu has already landed in Hyderabad and had been in talks with multiple people involved in the project.## Talking about Drushyam, the film tells the story of Rambabu (Venkatesh), a middle-class cable TV operator, and his family. They come under suspicion when Varun, the son of the Inspector-general of police (IG), goes missing soon after harassing Rambabu's daughter. The rest of the film reveals how Varun disappeared and what Rambabu does to keep his family from going to prison. ## Drushyam had Meena and Esther Anil from the original cast of Drishyam. Nadhiya played the role of the police officer whose son is murdered by Rambabu's daughter. ## Mohanlal's Drishyam has been remade in several languages including Hindi, Sinhalese, and Mandarin. Nishikant Kamat directed the Hindi remake and it starred Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Shriya Saran, and Ishita Dutta. Lyca Productions Acquired The Tamil Nadu Theatrical Rights Of RRR Movie

Lyca Productions house has acquired the Tamil Nadu theatrical rights of SS Rajamouli directorial, upcoming Telugu movie, RRR. Touted as the biggest Pan India film, RRR will release in worldwide on October 13, 2021. According to some reports, the deal for the theatrical rights in Tamil Nadu has been done at the whopping amount of INR 45 crores by Lyca Productions. Now, the big-budgeted period drama film has got its leading lady in Niddhi Agerwal. ## Talking to IANS, the actress confirmed that she will be starring opposite Pawan Kalyan in his next film. Telugu Movie Krack's Digital Premiere On Aha Postponed By A Week To Support Cinemas

Ravi Teja starrer Telugu movie, Krack, has been a box office blockbuster despite the pandemic and 50% seating capacity of theaters. It was released on January 9, and in no time, the movie emerged as a Sankranthi blockbuster. It turned out to be an anti-climax for the Telugu movie, Krack which was supposed to hit theaters today, on Saturday (January 9). Produced by reputed producer, Tagore B Madhu, 'Krack' was all set to be Ravi Teja's biggest release before it got into trouble due to a financial clash between the makers and distributors. ## The issue is related to the Tamil film Ayogya which was also produced by Tagore B Madhu a year and a half ago. Ayogya's failure at the box office and the ensuing debts are being cited as the reason behind Krack's financial tussle which has put the movie on hold. ## Due to the clash, première shows in the United States and the morning shows in India were canceled with the hope that the issue will get resolved by the afternoon. However, the uncertainty continues as the rescheduled press show in the afternoon also stood canceled even though a few of the cinema halls premiered the movie. ## While the talks are still on, according to the latest regional reports, the movie might start premiering tonight in theaters.
