Shahid Kapoor's Action Comedy Film Anees Bazmee To Clash With Kartik Aaryan's 'Chandu Champion'?

Mumbai, July 4 - Kartik Aaryan and director Kabir Khan are teaming up for the first time in "Chandu Champion" produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The shoot of the film recently commenced and it is scheduled to release on June 14, 2024, on the occasion of Bakri Eid. ## "Chandu Champion" won't be having the perk of a solo release as according to the reports, Shahid Kapoor's yet-untitled comedy film with director Anees Bazmee is also eyeing the same weekend release in cinemas worldwide. ## Shahid and Bazmee are teaming up for the first time and the shoot of the film will commence in August this year. The movie will see the actor playing a double role for the first time. Rashmika Mandanna is playing the female lead role, sharing the screen space with the "Kabir Singh" actor for the first time.## According to Bollywood Hungama, "The film and its subject are apt for the Bakri Eid festival. Bakri Eid is celebrated by the masses and the yet-untitled double-role comedy will have all the elements for the mass audience. In fact, it is Anees Bazmee's most commercial film to date with lots of action in the narrative". ## The official announcement of Shahid and Bazmee's film is expected to be made soon. Producer Ronni Screwvala Confirms Vicky Kaushal-Fronted 'Sam Bahadur Won't Be Postponed From December 1

Mumbai, July 4 - The Bollywood release calendar continues to shuffle and yet, it is becoming hard for the filmmaker to find a solo release date for their films. Over the last few days, a number of Bollywood films have changed the release dates, including the big guns. ## Ranbir Kapoor and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's "Animal" is one of the most-awaited films. It was supposed to release on August 11 but has now been postponed to December 1st this year due to delay in the post-production work. Just like its original date, "Animal" won't get a solo release and will directly clash with Vicky Kaushal's "Sam Bahadur" and the comedy "Fukrey 3". ## Directed by Meghna Gulzar, "Sam Bahadur" is a huge film but at the moment, "Animal" carries massive hype which makes it a strong contender to emerge as a box office hit. After the movie was postponed to December 1st, there have been rumors that "Sam Bahadur" might get postponed as it deserves a solo release, however, producer Ronnie Screwvala has denied such rumors and confirmed that it will be released as scheduled without worrying about clash with other movies. ## "We have announced our Sam Manekshaw release date months in advance and we intend to come on December 1st, come what may. We are a film about one of the greatest men to have served his country and we hope audiences support us totally. Content works - it's no longer about Friday openings - audiences are sharp and decide on their own", the producer said to Pinkvilla. ## "Sam Bahadur" is based on the life of Sam Manekshaw who was the Chief of the Army Staff of the Indian Army during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, and the first Indian Army officer to be promoted to the rank of field marshal.## Vicky Kaushal plays the title role while the movie also stars "Dangal" girls Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh as the female leads. Mumbai, July 4 - Kangana Ranaut production's satirical romantic comedy-drama "Tiku Weds Sheru" starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Avneet Kaur has turned out to be a digital success upon its release on June 23 on Amazon Prime Video. ## Directed by Sai Kabir, the film tells the story of Tiku (Avneet), who looks at marriage as her escape to Mumbai from a local town to become an actress, and Sheru (Nawazuddin), who has been working as a junior artist in the city for years. They get married and the comedy of errors for this couple starts. ## The movie has so far scored 7.2 million views on Amazon Prime Video in the first 10 days. In its opening weekend (June 23 - June 25), "Tiky Weds Sheru" scored 3.4 million views and was the 4th most-watched Hindi digital title in India during the same week, according to Ormax Media. ## Despite the mixed reviews, TWS scored 3.8 million views during the week of June 26 - July 2 and was the 3rd most-watched film digitally. The total viewership currently stands at 7.2 million views which is a good result for a low-budget film.## The movie also stars Khushi Bhardwaj, Mukesh Bhatt Vipin Sharma, and Zakir Hussain, among many others in key roles. Mumbai, July 4 - Back in September 2021, Kangana Ranaut announced her biggest film on Goddess Sita, titled "Sita: The Incarnation". It was the dream project of writer-director Alaukik Desai who brought Kangana on board to play the divine role of Sita. ## Saloni Sharma and Anshita Desai of SS Studio was supposed to produce this VFX-heavy magnum opus project, however, there has been no development took place after since the announcement of the movie. It was later rumoredly got shelved due to some reasons though the makers didn't confirm the cancelation. ## Now, nearly after two years, Kangana Ranaut seems to have given a hint about the making of "Sita: The Incarnation" or something related to Sita. Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga Reveals The Reason For Postponement of Ranbir Kapoor-Fronted 'Animal'

Mumbai, July 3 - Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's highly-anticipated Pan India movie "Animal" starring Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor has officially been postponed to December 1, 2023. The film was supposed to release on August 11 during the Independence Day weekend. ## There have been rumors floating on social media that "Animal" is postponed as the makers wanted to avert the clash with "Gadar 2" and "OMG 2". However, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has himself shared a video statement stating the real reason behind the postponement. ## In a video shared on T-Series' social media accounts, the director said that the only reason for the film not coming on August 11 is the quality of the product. He said that they don't want to compromise on the quality of the film and he gave example of the songs for the same. ## The director revealed that "Animal" has 7 songs in the original Hindi version and because the movie is also releasing in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada languages, there become a total of 35 songs. Due to the different kinds of lyrics and singers, things are taking a little more time than he had thought. He also said that they don't want to give the audience a feeling that the film and the songs are dubbed as they want to keep them as authentic as possible. ## The "Kabir Singh" director further said thanks to the audience for the excellent response to the pre-teaser and clarified that Ranbir Kapoor's glimpse shown in the pre-teaser as well as the song will be there in the movie as well contrary to the rumors. Box Office: 'Satyaprem Ki Katha' and 'Carry On Jatta 3' First Sunday/4th Day Early Estimates

Mumbai, July 2 - Sajid Nadiadwala's musical romantic film "Satyaprem Ki Katha", starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani, scores a good 4-day opening weekend at the domestic box office after recording back-to-back double-digit scores. ## On its first Sunday/4th day, SPK is seeing a jump of around 15%-20% for an estimated 11.50-12 crores net collection. The movie has a shot at hitting 12 crores net which remains to see. The first Sunday estimate collection takes the total to over 38 crores net which is a good result. ## SPK, being a multiplex-friendly title, has performed in the expected lines in its extended opening weekend. The film's word of mouth is on the positive side which should help it to get going during the crucial weekdays.
