Mumbai, June 30 - The fifth installment of the blockbuster comedy franchise "Housefull" has officially been announced with Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh reuniting with producer Sajid Nadiadwala. "Dostana" fame Tarun Mansukhani has been attached to direct the upcoming film.

"Housefull 5" has been in the news for a long time and it is finally made official. The movie will be produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under his banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. The other cast members of the Housefull franchise are expected to join Akshay and Riteish in "Housefull 5" which has been confirmed for Diwali 2024 release.

"Housefull" is one of the most successful film franchises in Bollywood. The first four films have grossed over 785 crores at the worldwide box office, with "Housefull 4" being the highest grosser in it. Despite the negative reviews, the 4th installment grossed 296 crores worldwide and was one of the highest-grossing films of 2019.
