Ontario, September 25, 2023 - WWE continues to deliver exciting shows under Triple H's creative direction, and this week's Monday Night Raw was no exception. The event took place at the Toyota Arena in Ontario, CA, and had a stacked lineup.## The main event featured The Judgement Day defending their Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship against Owens and Zayn. Additionally, Dominik Mysterio and Dragon Lee had an impressive title showdown. ## Another highlight of the night was the match between Drew McIntyre and Kofi Kingston, which got the crowd excited. Notable wrestlers like Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, Becky Lynch, Tegan Nox, and more also appeared on the show. ## Let's check out the top 5: ## #1. Finn Balor and Damian Priest Defeated Kevin Owens And Sami Zayn To Retain Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships ## In this Monday's Raw main event, Finn Balor and Damian Priest beat Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn to keep their Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships. It was a tough challenge for The Judgment Day to defend their titles, but with JD and Dominik's assistance, they held onto the titles in their second defense against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. ## #2. NXT North American Champion Dominik Mysterio defeated Dragon Lee ## It was such an intense match. Both men were in the ring, the bell rang, and the match finally started. Lee executed a Hurricanrana, sending Dominik out of the ring. Lee followed up with a massive dive and got him back into the ring. Lee went for a near fall after getting him back into the ring. Dominik countered with a DDT on the apron. ## Dominik attempted a Frog Splash from the top, but Lee thwarted him by getting his knees up. Lee delivered back-to-back clotheslines, followed by a Dropkick for the cover, but there was no win there. Lee executed a German Suplex, while Dominik responded with a Michinoku driver for the cover, but Lee kicked out at two and a half. ## Dominik went for a 619 but missed when Lee moved away. Lee then hurled Dominik with a hurricanrana onto the floor after sending him to the apron. Lee followed it up with a sitout Powerbomb, which was quite impressive. Lee went for the cover, but Dominik kicked out. Lee prepared for a DDT, but Dominik countered and climbed the ropes, hitting a Frog Splash for the cover and securing the win. ## #3. Drew McIntyre defeated Kofi Kingston; Ivar Attacks Kofi and Woods ## The bell rang, and the match started off. Drew knocked him down near the ropes. Kofi delivered a huge dropkick and then pummeled him in the corner. Drew executed a Suplex followed by a shoulder tackle. Kofi responded with a massive Dropkick that sent Drew over the top ropes. Kofi went to the top rope and performed a Crossbody. Kofi leaped off the apron in an attempt to take him down. McIntyre got back in the ring, and Kofi, from the top rope, went for a Crossbody for the cover, but there was no win there. ## After the break, Drew had been dominating for quite some time. Kofi went to the top rope and attempted his move, but Drew countered it into a Belly-To-Belly throw. Drew followed up with another move, hitting a neckbreaker. Kofi tried for a Trouble in Paradise, but Drew turned it into a DDT for the cover, yet Kofi kicked out at two and a half. ## Drew went for a clothesline, but Kofi blocked it and sent Drew to the floor. Drew attempted to get back in, but Kofi kicked through the ropes and then executed a Suicide dive, sending Drew back into the announce table. Drew hit a reverse Alabama slam onto the apron. ## Drew missed a Claymore kick. Kofi managed to hit an SOS for the cover but didn't secure the win. Drew received a forearm from Kofi. Drew retaliated with a headbutt. Meanwhile, we saw Ivar come from behind and attack Woods outside the ring. Drew got back into the ring and hit Kofi with a Claymore kick for the three-count, winning the match. ## After the match, Ivar got into the ring and attacked Kofi, while Drew walked away as he had done the very last time. Ivar went to the top and performed a moonsault to take out Kofi. ## #4. Seth Rollins vs. Shinsuke Nakamura In A Last Man Standing Match Made Offical For WWE Fastlane ## Next up, WWE Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins took the mic to cut a promo. Rollins began by taking a shot at Nakamura and called him out to accept his challenge for a match. Nakamura appeared on the Titantron and expressed his desire for a Last Man Standing Match against Seth Rollins. ## Rollins agreed to have the match at WWE Fastlane. ## #5. Tommaso Ciampa defeated Ludwig Kaiser ## The match kicked off with Kaiser knocking him down. Kaiser got Ciampa on the top rope and hit him to knock him down. Kaiser sent Ciampa into the steel steps. Kaiser delivered a dropkick that sent Ciampa out of the ring. Ciampa responded with a clothesline that sent Kaiser into the ring. ## Both were outside, and Ciampa sent him into the steel steps. Ciampa attempted the Willow's Bell for the cover, but didn't secure the win. Ciampa executed a DDT, but there was no cover made. Vinci tried to create a distraction but received a kick from Ciampa. Kaiser took advantage and hit him with the enzuigiri. ## He went for the cover, but it was a near fall. The referee was trying to get Vinci away, keeping busy over there. The upcoming World Title bout between Shinsuke Nakamura and Seth Rollins is set to happen at WWE Fastlane, and it's going to be a Last Man Standing Match. ## In a recent WWE announcement, it was mentioned that Nakamura would be responding to Seth Rollins' challenge. During the September 25 episode of WWE Raw, Rollins cut a promo warning Nakamura that if he didn't accept his proposal for another match, he would seek out other opponents. ## Nakamura didn't make a physical entrance but instead appeared on the titantron to accept Rollins' challenge for Fastlane in a Last Man Standing match. Originally, he was supposed to be part of the main event. ## When they found out that LA Knight had COVID, WWE offered to give back money to the fans who bought tickets. Undisputed WWE Universal Championship: Roman Reigns vs. The Rock ## For quite some time now, WWE has had plans to stage this match at the biggest event in their calendar, but those plans haven't materialized yet. Last year, there were strong rumors about this match happening at the show, but it ultimately didn't happen. This year, there's a significant likelihood that we'll finally witness The Rock taking on Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania. ## The Rock did make a return on the September 15 episode of SmackDown, but there was only a hint of a match against Roman Reigns. However, the Hollywood star recently appeared on the Pat McAfee show and mentioned that he's open to facing the current WWE Universal Champion at WrestleMania XL. ## #2. World Heavyweight Championship: Seth Rollins vs. Cody Rhodes ## If The Rock doesn't return for the main event of the Grandest Stage of them All, Cody Rhodes is the top pick to face Roman Reigns at the event. However, I firmly believe that The Rock vs. Roman Reigns will definitely happen this year. So, in the event of The Rock's return to the main event at the Grandest Stage of them All, Rhodes will require a formidable opponent, and there's no better choice than Seth Rollins for the WWE Heavyweight Championship. ## Their first encounter occurred at WrestleMania 38. On the first night of the event, on April 2, Cody Rhodes made a surprise return and defeated Rollins. Then, at WrestleMania Backlash on May 8, Rollins suffered another loss to Rhodes. The subsequent week, Rhodes challenged Rollins to a Hell in a Cell match, which Rollins accepted. This bout took place on June 5, and Rollins lost to Rhodes for the third time. ## Cody has managed to maintain his connection with the audience and remains popular. Jey with a Superkick on Priest and Cody sends him out of the ring after hitting him with a Steel chair. ## Singles Match: Bronson Reed vs. Otis ## The bell rings and the match starts off with both men taking the center. Otis prepares for a splash on Reed but hits the ring post. Reed with a clothesline and Otis is sent into the ring. Reed follows up with a Samoan Drop. ## Otis with a clothesline again and follows up with a suplex. Otis with the caterpillar. Otis misses a splash when he goes. Reed comes out with a senton. Before the bell rings, they have a heated exchange. The bell rings and all four unloads. Owens and Sami are able to take out Finn and Priest. ## We are back live...The match is underway. Sami and Priest are starting off the match. Sami with an elbow from the top takes him into the corner where Finn tags in. The Judgement Day gets the control once again. Sami with a shoulder tackle takes Finn into the corner only to be tagged by Owens. Owens with a Senton and shakes his leg. ## Owens is now getting attacked by Priest. Owens is between the ropes and gets pummeled by Priest. Finn with a cheap shot. Owens advances this time with a DDT and gets to tag Sami in. Sami with a clothesline unloads punches on Priest from the top. A nice dropkick from Sami, Finn involved, but Sami sends him over the top ropes. Finn and Priest are outside. Sami looks around and performs a Moonsault over the ropes. ## Back from the break...Sami is on top unloading punches on Priest. Sami with a top rope DDT. Both men exchange tags, and Owens brings the fight against Finn Balor. Finn is taken out to the floor. Owens follows up and takes out both men with the shoulder tackle. Owens goes on the apron and takes out Priest with a Cannonball. ## Owens gets Finn back into the ring goes to the top of the ropes and performs a Frog Splash for the cover, but Balor kicks out. Finn and Owens are on the top, Owens with an elbow to take Balor down to the mat. Finn joins again, this time, Owens with a Super Finlay Slam for a near fall. ## Once again, Owens goes to the top, Priest tries to involved, but Owens pushes him away. The delay allows Balor to get his knees up on a Swanton. Finn goes for a running dropkick and follows up with a Coup de Grace for the cover, but Sami comes out and saves it. ## Priest sets up South Of Heaven, but Owens sides up and saves. Sami comes in and hits an Exploder. Sami goes for Helluva Kick but Dom gets on the apron. Sami sets up a Blue Thunder Bomb on Priest and goes for the cover, but Finn breaks the cover. Perth, 25 September - Australian fans will have the chance to see The Undertaker before WWE Elimination Chamber 2024. WWE announced on Twitter that The Undertaker will host his "deadMAN SHOW" in the city before the event. ## The "deadMAN SHOW" was first introduced by The Undertaker in 2022 and has become a popular attraction during WWE premium live event weekends. It gives fans the opportunity to see the wrestling legend up close. ## WWE previously held Super Show-Down in Australia in October 2018, and the 2024 event will be the first one since then. Elimination Chamber will be streamed live at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT. UK viewers will need to stay up late to catch the show, as it begins at midnight UK time. ## The Elimination Chamber starts for Australians at 11 a.m. AEDT. Elimination Chamber 2024 will stream live on Peacock and WWE Network internationally. Peacock has three tiers: Free, Premium and Premium Plus. Franklin, 24 September - Rick Boogs was among the wrestlers whose contracts were terminated on September 21, 2023. It may not have been a shocking release, but it's worth noting. ## Boogs first appeared in WWE on October 19, 2017, during an episode of NXT Live, where he faced Lars Sullivan in a singles match. He made his in-ring debut on the August 20 episode of SmackDown and quickly gained popularity for his role in accompanying Shinsuke Nakamura to the ring with an electric guitar. ## Boogs' most recent WWE appearance was at WWE SummerSlam 2023, where he participated in the Slim Jim Battle Royal. However, on September 21, 2023, he, along with several other WWE superstars, was let go from his WWE contract. ## Following his release, Boogs turned to his YouTube channel to address the situation. ## "It's been an interesting time in my life with my job in WWE being terminated due to a backstage political powerplay, at least that's my opinion of it, but now is not the time to talk about that.
