Emraan Hashmi To Feature Alongside Akshay Kumar For The First Time In Raj Mehta's Next?
Mumbai, September 28 - Akshay Kumar is reuniting with the talented director Raj Mehta after their 2019 blockbuster "Good Newwz". The yet-untitled project will reportedly also feature Emraan Hashmi. The movie, which is said to be a comedy thriller, will see Akshay and Emraan coming together for the first time. ## Produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, it is learned that the film is the remake of the 2019 Malayalam film, Driving License that starred Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu in the lead roles. Akshay will step into the shoes of Prithviraj while Emraan Hashmi will reprise the role Suraj's role. ## Described as a captivating drama on pride and pettiness, fandom and fury, the film is based on a simple incident that becomes a major ego clash between a superstar (to be played by Akshay) and his die-hard fan, a motor vehicle inspector (to be played by Hashmi) after a series of misunderstandings. ## The pre-production work has already begun and the makers are exploring several locations to shoot the film, with the UK being right on top of the list. The film is expected to go on floors in early next year after Akshay is done shooting for Cinderella, Oh My God 2, and Ram Setu.## Meanwhile, Emraan Hashmi is currently shooting for "Tiger 3" which will see Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif reprising their roles of RAW and ISI agents respectively. He also has the supernatural horror film "Dybbuk", which is a remake of the 2017 Malayalam film Ezra. It will directly premiere on Amazon Prime Video. ## Stay tuned...
