Rohit Shetty Announces The Release Date of Ranveer Singh's 'Cirkus

Mumbai, May 10 - Blockbuster director Rohit Shetty's long-awaited "Cirkus" will debut in the worldwide theaters on December 23, on the occasion of Christmas this year. The big-ticket entertainer stars Ranveer Singh, Pooja Hegde, Jaqueline Fernandez, and Varun Sharma in the leading roles.## "Cirkus" marks the first outright comedy film for Rohit Shetty outside his blockbuster "Golmaal" franchise. In the movie, Ranveer Singh is playing a double role for the first time. However, nothing worked out despite the rumors of both joining hands for the sequel to "PK". ## Last year, it was reported that Aamir and Ranbir liked a script and might join hands to do the film. However, the delay in Aamir's "Laal Singh Chaddha" and Ranbir's films once again spoiled the party as there had been no news about the same since then. It has now been reported by Pinkvilla that the project is indeed on it might be directed by Anurag Basu, who previously worked with Ranbir on Barfi and Jagga Jasoos. ## According to the report, Anurag Basu is working to develop a screenplay for both actors. Akshay Kumar's 'Prithviraj' Trailer To Release On May 9

Mumbai, May 5 - The hugely-awaited historical action drama film, "Prithviraj" starring superstar Akshay Kumar in the title role, is releasing worldwide on June 3rd. The anticipation for the movie is building up nicely as the release is getting nearer. ## According to reports, the trailer of "Prithviraj" will be released on May 9 and it will be attached to the prints of Ranveer Singh's "Jayeshbhai Jordaar" in theaters from May 13th. The trailer will be launched in presence of the media at Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai, followed by a digital launch. ## The trailer launch event of "Prithviraj" will reportedly be attended by the lead pair, Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chhillar, along with director Chandraprakash Dwivedi. It trailer will also kick-start the promotion of the movie with the music launch, city tours, and interviews to follow up. ## Produced by Aditya Chopra of Yash Raj Films, "Prithviraj" is written and directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi who put years into the research to pen the script. It is based on Prithviraj Raso, a Braj Bhasha epic poem about the life of Prithviraj Chauhan, a king from the Chahamana dynasty. ## The movie marks former Miss World, Manushi Chhillar's debut movie, and her launch is one of the most-anticipated to watch out for. Box Office: Runway 34 First Wednesday Early Estimates

Mumbai, May 4 - Runway 34 had a sluggish first-weekend collection with a little under 15 crores net first weekend collections. The weekend was the lowest for an Ajay Devgan starrer in a long time. The target audience of the film was the audience from high cities who likes to watch western-type drama content but they are no niche in number that they can't make a difference to any film despite the film catering to them. On Tuesday the film witnessed a surge in collections due to the Eid holiday but just like its contemporary Heropanti 2, even Runway 34 collections were on the lower side. The film had a growth of around 45% to record 3.54 crores net box office collections on Tuesday compared to 2.42 cr net on the first Monday. The early estimated collections for the first Wednesday are set to be around 2 crores net. The total collections of the film including the first Wednesday collections will be a little less than 23 crores net box office. Box Office: Heropanti 2 First Wednesday Early Estimates

Mumbai, May 4 - Heropanti 2 performed very badly over the first weekend of its box office run with the weekend collections being around the 15 cr net. This should have been the opening day collection or at least close to this figure considering the star power of Tiger Shroff. The film was rejected by the audience as that is what the first Monday collections suggested. Tuesday saw a rise in collections due to the Eid holiday but still, the collections are so little that it could not make any difference. Today (Wednesday) was another partial holiday but when the content of the film gets rejected, holidays don't matter then. The early estimated collections are set to be in the range of 1.25-1.50cr net box office collections.
