'Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse' Races Past $500 Million At The Worldwide Box Office
Los Angeles, June 22 - Sony Pictures' animated comic-book superhero movie Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse is having a spectacular run at the box office, be it domestically or overseas as it has topped $500 million globally. ## The sequel to 2018's "Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse" has so far grossed $290.4 million in North America. It is the third highest-grossing of the year, behind Universal's "The Super Mario Bros. Movie" ($572 million) and Marvel/Disney's "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" ($345 million). ## internationally, it has scored $215.9 million so far, which brings its worldwide tally to a mighty $506.3 million. It is the 4th biggest worldwide grosser after "Super Mario" ($1.3 billion), "GoTG3" ($822 million), and "Fast X" ($679 million). ## The movie opened at $208.6 million globally, including $120.5 million at the domestic box office. As reported earlier, the sequel has already crossed the entire collection of the first film's $384 million and became Sony Pictures' highest-grossing animated movie of all time. ## Outside of the domestic market (North America), the top-earning markets for the follow-up film include China with $42.4 million, the United Kingdom with $26 million, Mexico with $24 million, and Australia with $14 million. In India, the movie has so far grossed around $5.8 million (47 crores), which makes it the fifth biggest Hollywood grosser of the year. ## Stay tuned...
