Ajay Devgn's 'Shaitaan' Sequel Is In The Works: Report

Mumbai, August 7 - Earlier this year, Bollywood star Ajay Devgn headlined horror-thriller Shaitaan which is the remake of the Gujarati movie Vash. The movie emerged as a big box-office success which led to speculations about its sequel and now, there is a big update on the same.## According to the report by Bollywood Hungama, the script work for Shaitaan 2 has already begun and the makers will announce the movie once the script is locked. There is no update on when the film will go on floors and if the rest of the original cast will return.## Directed by Vikas Bahl, Shaitaan was released in March of this year and went on to gross over 200 crores at the worldwide box office. It is currently the second-highest-grossing Bollywood movie and third biggest in Hindi of 2024. ## While the official confirmation is awaited, Shaitaan marks the 8th film franchise to be headlined by Ajay Devgn, which is the most by any Indian actor. He is currently shooting for Son of Sardaar 2 along with De De Pyaar De 2 while Raid 2 and Singham Again (Singham 3) are ready to release.## Apart from the aforementioned franchise, the Tanhaji star has also led Golmaal, Dhamaal, and Drishyam. Sunny Deol-Fronted 'Border 2' Full Cast To Be Unveiled In An Event

Mumbai, August 6 - Amid the reports about the casting for the highly-anticipated Border 2, the makers have provided that the announcement of the full cast of the film is not far away. Over the last year, the sequel has been making rounds before makers broke the shackles by officially announcing it in June this year.## The movie was announced with Sunny Deol returning to reprise his role from the first movie, released in 1997. Recently, it was reported that Ayushmann Khurrana and Diljit Dosanjh were in advance talks to join the cast but there hasn't been any official word from the makers yet on the same.## Meanwhile, filmmaker Binnoy K Gandhi, who will reportedly be producing Border 2 with J P Dutta, Nidhi Dutta, and T-Series, responded to the reports about the casting in a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama while promoting his directorial feature Ghudchadi, which is scheduled to be released on August 9.## While the filmmaker didn't reveal the names, he said "The star cast (of Border 2) will be announced soon. Within a month, we are going to organize a big event where we are going to showcase the entire star cast with their characters and their getups".## Going by the statement, we can anticipate that the cast announcement of the war epic will be made towards the end of August or early next month. Mumbai, August 6 - Bollywood star Ajay Devgn-fronted Son of Sardaar 2 has reportedly dropped actor Sanjay Devgn from its massive ensamble cast due to the visa denial for the United Kingdom. The action comedy is being directed by Vijay Kumar Arora.## The shooting for Son of Sardaar 2 recently commenced in Scotland, the UK with Ajay Devgn and Mrunal Thakur joining the first schedule. According to the latest report by mid-day, Sanjay Dutt was supposed to join the team in the ongoing schedule but has now been dropped due to visa issues.## Mid-Day has reported that Dutt's visa application was rejected because of his incarceration in the past. The actor was unable to procure a UK visa in the past as well. Box Office: 'Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha' and 'Ulajh' Second Day Early Estimates

Mumbai, August 3 - Ajay Devgn-fronted romantic thriller Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha is heading towards becoming a huge disaster at the box office after failing to score must big jump on the second day after the disastrous opening. ## The Neeraj Pandey's directorial feature scored one of the lowest openings featuring a credible movie star at approximately 1.85 crores. The opening of the movie almost sealed its fate but it could have reignited hopes by scoring big on Saturday and Sunday which is not happening.## According to the early estimates, the film scored in the range of 2.25 crores net on its second day/first Saturday, with around a 20% jump which is not enough to gain the lost ground. 2-day collection of the film is around 4 crores net as the first weekend is headed for a disappointing 6.50-7 crores net.## Janhvi Kapoor's Ulajh is showing a much better trend than AMKDT, however, the overall collection remains low as it also heading to meet the same fate as Ajay Devgn-starrer. On its second day, Ulajh scored an estimated 1.50-1.75 crores crores, jumping by around 40% from the opening day.## The total collection of the movie is around 2.75 crores net after 2 days and the first weekend is expected to be around 5 crores net. Mumbai, August 2 - Amid the low expectations, Ajay Devgn-fronted romantic thriller Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha sinks further to score one of the lowest openings for the actor in many many years which was expected given the almost nothing buzz.## According to the early estimates, AMKDT scored in the range of 2 (+/-) crores net on its opening day. The opening of the movie is lower than Akshay Kumar's Selfiee which is a major disappointment. There is not much hope left due to the poor word of mouth.## The pre-sales of the movie were horrible but it was still expected to take a decent start due to the presence of Ajay Devgn. The opening weekend will be under the 10 crores net mark, making it the back-to-back disaster for the actor after Maidaan.## Another release of the day, Janhvi Kapoor-starrer Ulajh followed a similar story with a poorer start at the domestic box office. Box Office: 'Bad Newz' First Monday Early Estimates

Mumbai, July 22 - After the opening weekend of nearly 30 crores net, Vicky Kaushal, Tripti Dimri, and Ammy Virk's comedy-drama Bad Newz sees a drop of over 60% on its first Monday which is a little higher than expected.## According to the early estimates, the Anand Tiwari's directorial scored in the range of 3.50 crores net collection on its 4th day, pushing the total collection to over 33 crores net. The drop from opening day is over 50% which was needed to be under 50% to be called a decent hold. ## Bad Newz is heavily dependent on multiple audiences as mass centres are not showing much interest which was expected given the theme of the film. Given the fact that Bad Newz is performing fairly well among its target audience, the first Monday hold can be seen as a respectable one. ## The movie needs to perform to the level of Monday's collection throughout the week as first full week is headed to finish around 41 crores net.
