'Pushpa 2' Creates History In Hindi On First Sunday

Mumbai, December 9 - Allu Arjun's action drama Pushpa 2 - The Rule has created history at the Hindi box office as it has become the first film of all time to score 100 crores gross in a single day after achieving this feat on its first Sunday (4th day).## Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 minted approximately 100+ crores gross (85 crores net) on Sunday which pushed its total Hindi collection to 285+ crores net after the 4-day extended opening weekend. This also marks the record opening weekend in Hindi, beating Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan which minted approximately 252 crores net. ## Pushpa 2 has also clocked a record single-day collection in Maharashtra with 20+ crores net collection and in Gujarat with 13+ crores net collection on its first Monday. These are unheard numbers and coming from a dubbed version makes them even more unbelievable.## The film has started on a strong note in the morning shows on its first Monday with solid pre-sales for the rest of the day. Sanjay Dutt On Board Tiger Shroff-Fronted 'Baaghi 4'; First Look Poster Unveiled

Mumbai, December 9 - The fourth instalment of producer Sajid Nadiadwala's blockbuster action thriller franchise Baaghi has begun with Tiger Shroff returning to reprise his role as Ronnie. The movie is directed by Kannada director A Harsha who has helmed some noteworthy Kannada titles. ## On Monday (December 9), the makers announced actor Sanjay Dutt on board to play the antagonist role in Baaghi 4 with the first look poster. The poster shows Dutt sitting on a chair with seemingly his head girlfriend or wife on his lap as the tagline reads - "Every Aashiq is a villain". ## By the look of the posters so far, it can be assumed that Baaghi 4 will be a high-octane action thriller about revenge and drama. The film's shoot has already commenced and will be released on September 5, 2025, worldwide. Ranbir Kapoor Confirms 'Animal Park' To Start In 2027; Hints At Third Part

Mumbai, December 8 - Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor's A-rated action drama Animal with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has been one of the biggest Indian blockbusters. While the film was critically lauded, it drew sharp criticism from some people in the industry for the way characters were presented in a story that proved not to be a cup of tea for them. ## Meanwhile, a sequel titled Animal Park was confirmed by the makers and director Sandeep Vanga promised it would be more darker and brutal than the first part. However, the wait for the second part is going to be longer than expected, going by Ranbir Kapoor's words. ## The actor is currently in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia to attend the Red Sea International Film Festival and during his conversation with Deadline, Ranbir confirmed that Animal Park should start filming in 2027, which is about more than 2 years from now on. ## Ranbir also hinted at the third part of Animal as he said that director Vanga wants to make the film in three parts and the duo have been sharing ideas on how to take the story forward which can turn it into a 3-part franchise. Box Office: 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3' and 'Singham Again' Collectively Top 500 Crore Net Collection

Mumbai, December 1 - After a dull couple of months post-Stree 2's mega success in August, the festival of Diwali brought good luck for the Bollywood film industry in November, thanks to the two of the most-waited films - Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singham Again. ## Rohit Shetty's directorial cop action drama Singham 3, starring Ajay Devgn, was the bigger film. However, it was Kartik Aaryan's horror comedy that rocked the show and won the clash with a superb collection in India and worldwide. SA though wasn't too far and did reasonably well at the box office.## Even after 4 weeks of release, both films doing well on a day-wise basis at the domestic box office, and thanks to that, their combined net collection has topped 500 crores making it the biggest Diwali ever at the Indian box office. ## Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has emerged as a super hit and through the 5th Saturday (30th day), it has minted approximately 255+ crores net collection. On the other hand, Singham Again is an average-to-hit venture with around 245 crores net collection in the same number of days. ## As reported earlier, BB3 is the biggest grosser for Kartik Aaryan as well as for director Anees Bazmee and the rest of the main cast. Vicky Kaushal's 'Chhaava' and Shahid Kapoor's 'Deva' Get New Release Dates

Mumbai, November 27 - Vicky Kaushal's historical action drama Chhaava has been postponed to February 2025. The film, directed by Laxman Utekar, was supposed to hit the big screen on December 6 and was to clash with Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 - The Rule before Maddock Films decided to shift the release. ## Produced by Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films, Chhaava will now be released on February 14. The release date holds special significance since it coincides with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti on 19 February. The movie is an adaptation of the Marathi novel Chhava by Shivaji Sawant and is based on the life of Maratha king Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, played by Vicky Kaushal.## Chhaava also stars Rashmika Mandanna as Maharani Yesubai Bhonsale and Akshaye Khanna as Aurangzeb along with others in key roles.## Meanwhile, the postponement of Chhaava to February 14, 2025, means Shahid Kapoor and Pooja Hegde's action thriller Deva has been moved up by a couple of weeks. Mumbai, November 25 - Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan, and Preity Zinta-starrer two-decade-old romantic comedy Kal Ho Naa Ho continued to impress in its re-release run at the box office amid the few other choices available. ## Directed by Nikhil Advani, the movie was re-released on November 15 and scored approximately 2.40 crores gross collection in the first week. Mumbai, November 24 - There were a couple of re-releases this weekend at the Hindi box office in the form of Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan-fronted cult classic Karan Arjun and Allu Arjun-starrer Pushpa - The Rise of which the sequel is gearing up for December 5 release worldwide. ## Karan Arjun, directed by Rakesh Roshan, had a wide re-release with over 2000 shows scheduled daily during the opening weekend. However, the movie couldn't replicate the success of the recent Bollywood re-releases and ended with the opening of around 1 crore gross collection. ## There wasn't much movement in the collection after the opening day of around 30 lakh gross as Saturday figures were almost similar to Friday and on Sunday, the movie is expected to gross around 40 lakh. With a not-so-encouraging opening weekend after a wide re-release, Karan Arjun is unlikely to have much impact during the weekdays. ## Allu Arjun's Pushpa - The Rise also had a wide re-release this weekend in Hindi and managed to gross around 70 lakh in the opening weekend. 'Cocktail' Sequel In The Works With Shahid Kapoor

Mumbai, November 23 - With franchises making waves at the Bollywood box office, more and more standalone films are getting sequels and the latest to join this trend is 2012's romantic comedy Cocktail which was headlined by Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Diana Penty. ## Directed by Homi Adajania and produced by Maddock Films with others, Cocktail was a box office hit with over 120 crores gross collection worldwide. 'Bhagam Bhag 2' Officially Confirmed

Mumbai, November 23 - The sequel to Akshay Kumar, Govinda, and Paresh Rawal's comedy entertainer Bhagam Bhag has officially been confirmed after the news first broke out recently. The OG trio will return to headline the second instalment. ## It was reported that rights for the sequel were recently acquired from Shemaroo Entertainment by Sarita Ashwin Varde of Roaring River Productions, who has also been simultaneously working on the film's script.
