Producer Jackky Bhagnani Refutes Rumours Regarding 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan'

Mumbai, August 2 - Film producer Jackky Bhagnani of Pooja Entertainment has burst down another major rumor regarding the upcoming big-budget movie, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff. Ali Abbas Zafar is on board to write and direct this action entertainer. ## Jackky Bhagnani was responding to a report which states that the film was almost put on backburners due to budget issues. The report says that the makers have reworked on budget of the film and have been able to cut down at least 100 crores, including the 50% pay cut for Akshay Kumar and almost 30% each for Tiger and Ali Abbas Zafar. ## Reacting to the report, Jackky called this development completely incorrect and said that the movie was never going to be shelved. The producer confirmed that action will begin soon as the movie was always on track. However, he hasn't cleared whether the actors of the film have cut down their remuneration or not, but again, there is no reliable source saying Akshay and Tiger have cut down their fees. ## Absolutely InCorrect !! The shoot is expected to begin by the end of this year. ## The leading actresses are yet to be confirmed, but the reports say that the announcement regarding the same will be made in August. Mumbai, August 1 - Ek Villain Returns feels the heat on the first Monday of its box office run as the collections dropped by a huge margin. The collections were always likely to be dropped but it is the margin that makes it alarming. The early estimated collections suggest 2.75-3 crores net on the first Monday. The collections in mass pockets are still good but everywhere else it is underwhelming. The first Monday collections will push the total collections of the film to over 26cr net box office mark. If the film maintains a similar level of collection for the next few days then it will be a decent result otherwise they might struggle to reach even the 50cr net mark as big films are lined up for release over the next couple of weeks. Mumbai, July 30 - Ek Villain Returns which did well on the first with 7.05 crores net, is showing some growth on Saturday which is a good thing for both film and the industry. The growth is not huge or anywhere close to it but there is some upward trend in many multiplexes and that is enough in the circumstances that the industry is in today. As per the early estimates, the first Saturday collections should be around 7.5 crores net. This will take the first two days' collections to a little over the 14.50cr net mark which is less than the opening day collections of the first part of this film that was released way back in 2014. The Sunday is set for further growth but the growth is unlikely to be huge, hopefully, some mass centers should record good footfalls to ensure a good weekend at the box office compared to the last few weekends. Shetty said that he always wanted to make this film, but he had a different reason to start this film in the pandemic. ## The "Singham" director has often insisted that his technicians are his biggest strength but because of the pandemic, they were left with no choice but to sit home without any job. During a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Shetty said that he wanted to restart the cycle of filmmaking for his technicians so that they could earn their livelihood. ## "Much like Sooryavanshi, Cirkus also has a history. It was the first film to get into the production stage. So many producers and directors visited our sets to see how we are shooting. This one is for my technicians", he added. ## "Cirkus" is Rohit Shetty's first outright comedy film outside the Golmaal franchise. Box Office: Shamshera Ends First Week On A Disappointing Note

Mumbai, July 29 - Yet another Yash Raj Films production bites the dust as Ranbir Kapoor-fronted biggie Shamshera, also starring Sanjay Dutt, and Vaani Kapoor, succumbed in the first week itself without putting up even a fight at the box office. ## Directed by Karan Malhotra, "Shamshera" was YRF's best bet among the five films in its current slot. The initial response to the movie was positive, as far as advance booking is concerned, but it couldn't sustain that momentum and ended up the first week with approx. 41 crores net, which is disastrous, to say the least. The worldwide gross collection is a little over 52 crores marks.## The period action drama film, which is made on a budget of around 150 crores, got largely affected by the reviews from critics, who slammed the movie left, right, and center as if, it was the worst movie ever made in Bollywood. The word of mouth was mixed, but that was not going to save the film from the wrath of self-claimed critics. ## "Shamshera" has nothing left in its show from hereon as it is another Bollywood movie post-pandemic to ended up becoming a one-week wonder. With "Ek Villain Returns" releasing today, things become even more difficult for Ranbeer Kapoor-starrer to retain screens. ## Yash Raj Films' next release is Shah Rukh Khan's comeback movie "Pathaan", which is scheduled to release on January 25, 2023. Later, the studios' "Tiger 3", starring Salman Khan will release on Eid 2023. YRF has had great success with the Tiger franchise while "Pathaan" is a new entry in its spy universe. 'Vikrant Rona' Star Kichcha Sudeepa Insists Directing Superstar Salman Khan In A Film

Mumbai, July 29 - Kannada superstar Kichcha Sudeepa's Pan India film Vikrant Rona has been released in theaters and winning praise all around for providing a majestic cinematic 3D experience. The Hindi version of this mystery action-adventure film is presented by superstar Salman Khan with whom, Sudeepa shares a great bond personally. ## Sudeepa, who shared screen space with Salman Khan in "Dabangg 3", had said in an interview in 2021 that he has plans to direct the Bollywood superstar in a film. Since then, both got busy with their respective projects, and there has been not much development on their next project together. Mumbai, July 28 - Another Friday arrives and there is another big Bollywood film, in the form of "Ek Villain Returns", releasing in theaters. But the biggest question remains to answer, will fortune change this time? or will it meet the same fate as the previous films? It is something that is very difficult to predict in these changing box office dynamics post-pandemic. ## There was a time when Bollywood was the synonym for Blockbuster, however, that time has become a thing of the past as the blockbuster status, nowadays, becomes a blue moon for the industry.
